Another great book by this author. She captures Hatteras (also Avon and Frisco which are part of Hatteras) beautifully. I enjoyed reading about the two fishing tournaments. I’m familiar with fishing tournaments but they’re usually on charter boats, not on the beach (but I’m sure they do have them).

I absolutely loved Caitlin, her mom and her aunt. They are the type of people I would love to hang out with (except for the very early rising in the mornings for the tournaments….I don’t do early mornings, much like Jenni!)…witty, sweet, and so down to earth. Jenni was a character I could relate to. Although I’ve never been divorced, I can relate to her feelings of inadequacy, always thinking things are her fault, and just low self esteem.

I also enjoyed seeing some of the same characters in this book as in the first one (Storm Season). I just hope the next one has a few reappearing.

Definitely would recommend this book…can be read in a day or weekend. Whether you’re at the beach for a weekend or dreaming of warmer weather, pick this nugget up, imagine your feet in the sand, ocean waves crashing, your favorite beverage on hand and enjoy!
