Red, I don't know what to say. Socrates is every new submissive's dream come true. patient, kind, strong and handsome. And kathyrn has an amazing heart and great curiosity. Something that most authors forget to put forth when writing about a character new to the scene. she asked a lot of questions I would have asked. this book is very relatable and well written. I hope this is not the end of Kathyrn's story. :)

I absolutely loved this latest Red Phoenix book. It gives some very sage advice to people who are interested in the BDSM lifestyle but don't know where to begin. Red Phoenix also gives pointers on how NOT to be taken advantage of. Kudos, Red.

I want to thank the author for writing this story. Precious little is written that portrays older women as vibrant sexual beings. Sometimes it feels like we are invisible and are expected to meekly accept our lot in life. The protagonist in this story is not quite 50 (she's 49) and has found the courage to explore new facets of her sexuality that had previously been ignored. Not only that, she has found someone who is willing to help her on her way and is also willing to offer her support in her ongoing journey. The characters are well drawn, believable and likeable. I came away from this book with a renewed sense of hope and self worth. Authors, take note. There are many women, like myself, that are yearning to read about someone we can relate to. Older women have the breadth of life experience that makes them compelling and sexy. I look forward to reading the next author that has the courage to buck the norm and leverage the assets of the mature woman.

Well done Red! I totally fell in love with the story. A middle-aged lady strives for something more and stumbles onto an online bdsm dom site- Socrates. This is absolutely believable. We watch as she goes from casual reader to online commenter to participant. You have a way of writing that just sucks us in and we can't do anything but jump with both feet! Such a fun time to be had! What else would you expect from a Red Phoenix book! I definitely would love to read more! Kathryn and Socrates created a pretty dynamic connection that felt tangible and real. I think it would be only natural they would seek out that connection again. One can only hope!

I Loved this story, I could easily relate to "Cherry Blossom"..and her needs and desires, just like in all of Red's books, she brings the characters to life and makes you feel as though you are part of the journey also. And Socrates *sigh*..he epitomizes the perfect Dom to me, He's Sexy, He listens to his subs and their desires, What I wouldn't give for one night with this man. I highly recommend!

Great Book
I loved this book. I've been a fan of Red since I read the the first Brie box set. This was a great start to her to what her career has become now. She has probably opened a lot of women up to the lifestyle of BDSM. Thanks for another great read for me. Thank you for all your books.

Best one yet!

As a HUGE fan of the Brie Series by Red Phoenix, I was extremely excited to read something new from her. I was deep in the middle of 'Red Phoenix Withdrawal,' and Socrates pulled me out, if only for a short time. If you are interested in the BDSM lifestyle, well, you definitely have to get this book ASAP! It's very instructional, and yet, there is a great story behind it.

The book starts off in such a way, that you automatically feel like Kathryn, AKA Cherry Blossom, is talking directly to you, telling her your story. You feel her anticipation and desire, her curiosity and her willingness to try new things. Cherry Blossom was a great character, well-rounded, interesting, and very relatable. Pretty much through the entire book, my emotions mirrored Kathryn's. At times, she acted like a giddy school girl, and I found myself giggling right along with her. Excitement, trepidation, sadness, all of the emotions were there and ready for you to latch on and enjoy the ride.
As I mentioned at the beginning, Socrates Inspires Cherry to Blossom was a very good learning experience for someone who is new to the scene, or is just curious and interested in maybe learning more about the BDSM lifestyle. Even though this was only about 70 pages long, it was chock-full of juicy tidbits about the BDSM world. I found myself taking some notes of my own, and not just for writing my review.
I never doubted that Red Phoenix would disappoint at all. She always amazes me with her talent, and always gives her readers what they want and more. For those of you who would like a short, sensual, instructional read, this is definitely for you. Take the beautiful journey in to the world of Socrates. But be warned, it will be very hard to say goodbye to the 'Online Dom.'

I LOVE RED PHOENIX !! I became hooked on her books when I first was asked to review Bree Learns the Art of Submission. Once I picked up that book there was no turning back ! With Socrates Inspires Cherry to Blossom the hotness just continues. I wouldn't necessarily call this an erotic romance, but there is diffidently the erotic aspect. But its not really a love story.
Socrates is a well respected on-line Dom that teaches the fundamentals of BDSM to many who want to learn. It doesn't hurt that he happens to be extremely sexy. SO he gathers quite the on-line following. Kathryn is a middle aged woman who goes by the pseudonym Cherry Blossom while she follow's the sexy videos the Dom airs. She starts learning quite a bit from the Dom and the videos peek her interest in the BDSM lifestyle and have her realizing that she has submissive qualities in herself. After a little while an on-line exchange starts up between Socrates & Cherry Blossom and he is always glad to answer any questions she may have about the lifestyle. Kathryn's fantasies come true when the Dom invites her to be in one of his web-cast BDSM scenes as his temporary submissive. And I just want to say I wish I was in her place during that scene!!!
Red did a great job addressing the many questions that those new to the lifestyle are likely to have. I also enjoyed the fact that the heroine was a middle aged lifelike woman. I love Red Phoenix work and this one is no different. Even though this is a novel and was a quick read it was complete and an enjoyable read.
This takes you on a journey of a woman, Kathryn a/k/a Cherry Blossom, who after forty some years beginning to realize she could be submissive. She has been following Socrates, and online Dom, who teaches and guides those interested in BDSM in a safe online environment.
I could feel Kathryn’s emotions from the beginning when she was thrilled to receive the first reply from Socrates to the end with her giggling thinking of the message she left for Socrates. To be able to see her going from wondering if being a submissive could be something she could be interested in to realizing this was who she really is was amazing. I also loved how patient and caring Socrates was toward everyone when answering questions. Then to actually be able to see into his personal life was inspiring.
This was a great journey that Red Phoenix took me on I am so glad she shared it and cannot wait to see what journey she will choose to take me on next.

Socrates Inspires Cherry to Blossom is another great short story from Red Phoenix. She is such a talented woman who has become one of my favorite authors. Socrates is about a woman, Cherry Blossom, who discovers an Online Dominant named Socrates. She is trying to discover who she is, and what she wants for her future. This online Dom has a huge following and even does online live shows with temp subs. Cherry Blossom has found herself in a rut. Will following Socrates help her get over the slump she has found herself in? Will he show her that she is worthy of a strong, handsome Dom’s attention? I don’t want to give anything away so I will just say that Cherry Blossom and Socrates have a wonderful afternoon together that will make your panties more than a little damp.
I love the way Red describes the scenes in her novels. She really has a way of making you feel like you are watching an actual scene in a club somewhere. Socrates Inspires Cherry to Blossom is no different. If you are looking for a great BDSM book from a submissive point of view, this book and anything Red writes would be a great choice for you. I am a huge fan of Red's and have not so patiently been waiting for this book to debut. I fell in love with Red's books just a few months ago. I devoured the whole Brie series in days. After finishing the Brie series I have to admit I felt like something was missing. Brie and Sir were so well written that I truly missed them, but I can easily see Socrates and Kathryn filling the void. I loved Kathryn's innocence and her bravery. To decide at 49 years old to become a submissive when you know very little about the BDSM community is very brave. I adored the fact that Kathryn aka Cherry blossom was not some young 20 something. Though I am a far cry from 49 years old I am no longer in my twenties and I don't mind admiting I get a little annoyed that the majority of females in Erotica seem to be in their early twenties. It is nice that Kathryn has some mileage on her.
Socrates was amazing. I wanted to volunteer myself to be a sub for his lessons, lol. No really I mean it!! I mean who wouldnt want a night with Don! I sense more to Socrates then meets the eye and hope there is much more of him in the near future. I hope with everything I have that this is a series that keeps going! I want to know more about Socrates and Kathryn...no wait.... I need to know more about them. LOL

Ok I know I know I say this every time I review for Red but I LOVE HER!! She has the ability to make you a part of her story. She makes me feel as though I AM the main character.....annnnnd lemme tell ya I sure wish I was Cherry!! LOL
So this story starts out as a shy, curvy, middle aged woman is questioning herself. Is she a submissive? She found a BDSM online site run by Socrates. He also does online "sessions" with temperary subs to show the correct ways of the lifestyle. Well Cherry watches and becomes a bit of an addict to him. She begins a quick correspondance with him and they form a friendship or sorts. When Socrates asks Cherry to scene with him...she is over the moon excited. The scene is hawt, hawt, hawt and RAWR did I love it.
Socrates is a very deep and complex man. Cherry is a sweet, naive and willing student to all the lessons he is willing to share with her. I do have a feeling about his true intentions because of something he gives to her......sneaky sneaky Dom!! When the session is over, Cherry leaves and is ready to explore her new world. I cannot wait for more fro this serial.

Red Phoenix has a writing style that just draws you in! After reading her Brie series, I was uncertain where the tales would take the reader next. She can make any character she writes about burrow into your heart. In this tale, we find ourselves following along as Cherry Blossom owns her sexuality and begins exploring an on line Dom, and what he can teach her. At first she is just an observer, wishing she had guts like the women who volunteered to be in a scene that is webcast to anyone willing to pay the fee. Eventually, she begins communicating with Socrates, feeling comfortable asking him questions. At 49, she does not think she is as sexy as others. At first that is. Eventually, she decides to try to be the lucky lady he scenes with. It is an experience she will not soon forget. One thing Red does so well is that she shows her characters are more than what you might think. As you read on, you come to understand why each of them does what they do, what makes them tick. Every layer she peels back makes you hungry to find out what is underneath. As always, Reds books delight the senses, and they leave you with a smile or two on your face. There is nothing this writer can write that I won't pick up. A Brilliant storyteller weaving, yet again, a rich and rewarding read. If you like sexy tales, just go grab everything she has written. You will not be disappointed!

What an awe inspiring book!!
You begin getting to know Kathryn a forty nine year old woman who is just now discovering herself. She has been alone for some time now but has discovered Socrates. Short, sexy, informative, and touching. Red Phoenix has created Socrates, a Dom with wisdom and great abs! Cherry, age 49 and single, meets him online and is a bdsm virgin.
