The year is 2007, and Luka Monroe and his brothers have just crashed their space pods in a wooded area outside of Boston. Luckily, Luka quickly learns he has a special power that allows him to hypnotize humans into giving him what he wants. They go from rags to riches within days, giving Luka a boost of confidence when he finally meets Harper O’Connor, his mate.

For some reason, Harper is the only one he can’t hypnotize, and his lack of social skills is a huge turn-off for her. But when she goes out on a disastrous date with a sinister, untrustworthy man who won’t leave her alone, Luka steps in and offers to be her bodyguard.

The more time they spend together, the closer they get. But the moment Harper starts realizing she can’t live without him, something frightening happens to Luka, tearing them apart.

Luka can’t bear to lose Harper, but what will it take to convince her to accept the beast inside the bodyguard?

Thought this was going to be a quick funny alien romcom. The weird white supremacy undertones and rapey vibes disabused me of that real fast(see highlights). The TWs should have clued me in. Not sure why all that shit is necessary in a light hearted story like this but okay.

It was funny to read about MMC and his brothers coming to Earth from another planet and then having to learn about humans and how to behave. They say and do weird stuff and that was very entertaining.

I enjoyed reading it and will definitely be reading more books from the series.

This was a good preview to read that's about Lukassanai/Luka Monroe and Harper O’Connor. Defecting from their handlers/creators who trained them to be the King's assassins, Luka and his brothers illegally sneak to Earth in escape pods to find their mates and start a new life. They crash-landed in a wooded area around Boston. They fly toward Boston and land in a crowd leaving a concert blending in where they meet Jay selling Starburst candy. In this crowd Luka smell his mate but loses her. Luka discovers he can control Jay with his mind. Telling Jay, they escaped from a cult and need help, Luka and his brothers follow Jay who helps them to his apartment where they later meet Talia, Jay's girlfriend. Harper a recently divorced veterinarian decides to join her co-workers on a night out to a club. At the club she sees Luka who is sitting in the VIP section. Luka walks over to her table and invites her to a night of pleasure which Talia refuses. Luka tries to use his mind powers on her, but they don't work. Luka leaves the club mad that his mate refused him. Getting advice from Talia, he starts canvasing the neighborhood and finds Talia. What occurs is a cute engaging story I'd enjoyed reading. Can Luka convince Talia to give him a second chance?

1.5⭐️ A mediocre offering—an alien, dinosaur-shifter meets human mate on earth. Nothing was earth shattering (no pun intended) about this initial book. Nothing different about earth women, I guess. Nothing to go into shock about when you see a man you’ve fallen in love with reveal himself to be a blue horned dinosaur from another planet, I guess. Perhaps I’ve been spoiled by reading some really impressive, imaginative alien, shifter/human matchups. They have NEVER gone so smoothly. I’m going to pass on this series.

This story is billed as a prequel to the series, and it is honestly a great introduction to the dragonish brothers and it's a cool origin story too! Luka is the sensible brother and the leader of their group. Harper is a veterinarian who is at a physical disadvantage due to an accident. Luka pursues Harper while he's still trying to figure everything human out, which leads to misunderstandings and some really funny scenes. I truly enjoyed reading this book in the series and it has only whet my appetite for the other books that will follow in this seriex!

Five alien brothers land on Earth searching for mates

Luka and his brother's set about learning about the new city and it's people. Luka scents his mate at an event but can't seem to find her right away. Unfortunately by the time Luka finds Harper she's already attracted a stalker who won't take no for an answer. Dr. Harper O'Connor is a veterinary with a dead end job and a broken spirit. Luka goes all out wooing his mate. He even falls a wretched three legged cat who hates him. Luka tried hard to be everything Harper needs but it's that cat that saves the day!

Her alien bodyguard

5 alien brothers escape to earth to begin a new life. Books starts of nice then further into the book it b,.ecomes dark with descriptions of nationality of people. Didn't care for that. However it did have some funny moments and misunderstandings. Luka and Harper romance had a hilarious beginning.

yeah alien shifters

I’m glad I’m late to this series and got this prequel first. These 4 brothers are escaping their home world where they have been experimented on, misused and abused. They want to be free and have studied earth and know that they are compatible with humans and can blend in most of the time. Luka is the first to find his mate in the feisty Harper a vet.

A quick prequel novella to this series. It does some fast world/character building, time jumps, and smacks you with that romance plot.
I really liked the insta-obsession from our MMC as he fumbles his way through claiming his human mate.
This was fast, funny, and fan-your-fave hot!

This book was really cute. I loved the beginning when they first arrived to Earth and were so innocent. Sweet boys. They had no idea about anything.
Harper was a strong character for me. Even with a disability, she still lived a fulfilling life and didn’t dwell on it. Luka was so sweet. Ugh I want a Luka. Once he found Harper, he really would do anything for her. The relationship with his brothers was fun too. Gosh all the trouble his brothers got into 😂
I really enjoyed this book. It was short and sweet and had some suspense mixed in to keep your interest.
