It's been ages since I read Manabu Makime, but wow, it was fun! I got hooked from the first few pages, and before I knew it, I was at the end. The vampire girl's super busy - whining to her witness "Q" about some "ritual" on her 17th birthday, cramming for tests, helping her friend's love life... you name it. The second half suddenly turns into an action flick, but it all flows smoothly. I thought about how it'd look as a movie, but they'd probably cut out cool stuff like her friend's Buddha mask - which is so funny in the book. Maybe it's best left as is.
