THE TRUTH ABOUT FAKING Amazon Bestselling Title
Jason just wants a date with Harley. Harley just wants a date with Trent. Trent's still getting over Stephanie.
When Harley and Jason decide to fake date, they uncover a school of deceptions. Trent's got a secret, but so does Jason. And the more time Harley spends secretly kissing her fake boyfriend, the further she gets from her dreams with Trent.
Worst of all, Harley's mom is getting cozy with her hot massage therapy student, and even Harley's Reverend Dad can't fake not being bothered by it. But when the masks finally come off, can everyone handle the real truth?
THE TRUTH ABOUT LETTING GO TOP 5 FINALIST, 2013 "Best Indie Book" awards, The Kindle Book Review
Ashley Lockett has always followed the rules. She's always done the right thing, played it safe, and then her ideal life is shattered when her dad dies suddenly. Fueled by anger and grief, she vows to do everything opposite of how she lived before. She rejects safety, the rules, faith, and then she meets Jordan.
Jordan has big dreams, he's had a crush on Ashley for years, he's a great kisser... but he's also safe.
Enter Colt. He is not safe, and he's more than willing to help Ashley fulfill her vow.
The Truth About Faking is the first book I ever published. It's a light-hearted romantic comedy about growing up, learning to be true to yourself--and at the same time, the cost of truth and of faking who you are.
Harley is a hilarious MC, along the lines of Cher from the movie Clueless, and Jason is one of my most popular book boyfriends.
It's suitable for a PG-rated audience. I think anyone would enjoy this Amazon best-selling title, but it's best for Grades 6+!

The Truth About Letting Go is more of a John-Green-style mature YA/New Adult title. It's the yin to Faking's yang--darker, more emotional. It's about a girl trying to figure out who she is now, following the loss of her father.
The reviews I love most for this title have been from readers who've suffered loss and said they could understand everything Ashley was feeling. I wrote this book from a place of loss myself, although it wasn't as significant as the death of a loved one.
That said, TTALG is not a total downer! It's a romance, but it's a bit steamier, more edgy.
Ashley is a MC you either understand or you don't, but everyone seems to agree that Jordan is the best book boyfriend EVER~
(Letting Go is more appropriate for a PG-13 audience.)
The first one was hard as my husband Chad passed away unexpectedly and I became a single mother. It made me think of my own kiss. However, I enjoyed reading them. The Dragonfly Series is how I discovered Leigh and her books! I'm happy to say we became "Dragonfly sisters" and a character named Chad made it into one of her books! Keep reading the next series-you'll love it >!<
True-to-life stories with believable characters who pull you into their lives!
I enjoyed being in the lives of Leigh's characters. I was drawn into caring about them and hoping for them to "find their ways". Looking forward to reading more!
