Exploring Digital Libraries: Foundations, Practice, Prospects

Rate this book
"This book provides an overview of the digital turn in libraries. It is informed by the rich and varied professional experience of its author, by extensive research across several national and international contexts, and by a rare synthesizing ability. It fills a clear gap in the library literature, exploring technical and research developments from the perspective of evolving library services and organization."

This book is wonderful. I was using it for a presentation, but I read it cover to cover since the topic was so well covered and very clearly written.
If you are interested in e-resources and digital libraries, this is your must-read. Ms. Calhoun is to be applauded.

Probably the most easily accessible general overview of the subject. The topic is well covered and many concepts are explained much better than in the other literature on digital libraries. Highly recommended.

First few chapters were great but then work priorities changed. One for another time.
