This book gets into the meat of the action. It’s still from wife Jacey’s perspective, but there’s a lot more discussion with husband Dominic, Tai and Melissa, and possible love interest Joe. Plus we get some of Joe’s story.
With 10 characters, there is a lot to know. Because the story is primarily from Jacey’s POV, we don’t get to really know many of the characters very well. We are getting to know Jacey and Dominic a bit, but even after 250 pages in the 3 books, I wouldn’t even say we know Jacey that well. We do read about some very interesting pairings+ among the group.
Although not a cliffhanger, changes are afoot at the end of this book. It’ll be interesting to see what happens.
I really enjoyed this third installment of the Husbands and Wives series. The sex scenes are realistic and well written. I also liked the fact that these sex scenes don't seem choreographed like it's a porno movie (ie. the guys and girls know when and how to move). The characters debate such things from who gets to be on top to which position to try next. There were even a few scenes where I had to laugh. Without giving out a spoiler, the scene where the wives gather at Melissa's place had me giggling because it totally reminded me of when you're young and completely inexperienced in sex (kind of like playing doctor with regards to exploration). Jacey really starts to go through a transformation not only socially but sexually, too. It's great to see her grow and not shy away from experiencing new things (something we should all try in our own lives). I can't wait to see happens next in this wild neighbourhood!
This is the third book in the series and things take a slight unexpected turn. While the book can be read on its own, I recommended reading them in order to get the full effect.
Now it is time to meet the wives on the block, but our story takes a slight turn that I was not expecting. In the previous book, our heroine met the husbands and I figured this one would be about our hero meeting the wives. Not the case. This is still from the female perspective and is all about our heroine meeting the wives. While I didn't expect that, I am perfectly fine with this approach.
The results, as might be expected, are very steamy. I continue to enjoy this series immensely and welcome the continued variety which the reader is offered. Another very fun evening read.
Highly recommended.

The Wives, book number 3 in Anna Ellis' Husbands and Wives series, is a wild one. Our heroine, Jacey, moves from one sexual encounter to another among her sexy neighbors with practiced ease, and she enjoys herself immensely while doing it. Her husband Dominick is totally down with his wife's nymphomania, and he enjoys some of the neighborhood wives, too. Apparently, everybody living on this suburban cul-de-sac looks attractive, so that's never an issue. All the ladies are bisexual, and all the men are straight, which plays well in this genre. As for contraception, they rely on condoms that never seem to break.
Sure, this book is about as mentally nutritious as eating a Twinkie, but it's still a tasty and fun read.

I received a free copy of this book however all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. I loved this! As you would expect, it's a steamy read - but let's face it, that's what we expect and hope for isn't it?! 😉
This time it is the wives who want to know her better so a play date is made. It will not be cookies and milk but it is about to become very steamy and red hot
