Her only companions are her illegitimate daughter and the injured animals she brings home for her to treat. When an unassuming ghlipon steps into a bear trap and scrambles deeper into the forest Siya takes it upon herself to track her and wrap her most likely broken leg. Even wounded a ghlipon could run miles and this one leads her deeper into Ferranti forest where peril creeps around every corner. The Death Court is more dangerous than any other predator in the entire realm. Six of their fiercest warriors, one of them being their king, find Siya cowering against a tree.

He never expected to run into a nature fairy royalty this deep in Ferranti. Her life force could be the salvation to his entire court. Grath gets wrapped up in the allure of Siya’s delicate potential, his original mission becoming secondary, then completely discarded. “To the lonely. Love will find you, too.”
Do I judge books by their covers? Sometimes
Do I judge books by their dedications? Yes
Because you know a book is good when the dedication is. It’s like the first sentence, the first step into the author’s world, and god damn do I like this first step. 😝

Alr, this is for the fantasy readers out there. Who else spends so much time to look around in the book to find what a word means or who or what something is because the words get all jumbled up as you read? And how many fantasy books had a GLOSSARY to help you out with that? Because if you ask me, I will say not that many. But guess what this book has? A GLOSSARY! Omg this is going to make reading this book a whole lot faster 🤗🤗

———

I will be completely honest here, I did not know much about anything when I dived into this book. I forgot I applied for this ARC, but I have never been so glad that I signed up for something.

This book was wonderfully written, and I LOVED every page. It was a new territory for me as most fantasy books I read have badass female main characters, and Siya did not quite fit that category. She was shy and got scared easily but as it comes out in the book, she was also brave and somewhat badass in her own way. I LOVED this new fantasy world I entered and I CAN’t WAIT to enter it sometime again.

OMG and don’t even get me started on Grath. Because that man 🤭🤭🤭
And Kar, the men in this book 🤭😮‍💨😝

This is probably the BEST fantasy book I’ve read in a while and I totally recommend this book, and hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Hats off to Victoria Liiv for writing such an AMAZING book. I cannot wait to read Fairies of Death (book 1, this is book 0.5) and thank you so much Victoria Livv for sending me an ARC of this book! Happy reading everyone!

Enjoy 😘

DNF ~ However, the rating of 3☆ comes from the writing. Liiv has a nice style that has an even tempo. Her character and world building are great!
I enjoyed the story until...
•The romance started
•The forbidden kind of romance
•The touch her and she dies kind of romance.
Not my kind of read.

I received a free copy, and I am voluntarily leaving my opinions of this novel. Thank you to the author, publisher and Goodreads for this opportunity.

Books like this one are really making me want to dive deeper into fantasy. Fantastic characters, and I loved all the world building for a novella. The spice in this was especially 🥵, I don't know if it was the danger of it or what...but my my my!

I am more than eager to dive right in and enjoy the series.

Also, can we please take a moment to appreciate that gorgeous cover art.

Fairies of Death was one of my favorite books I've read this year, so when Victoria offered the chance to arc read Nature Faries I was there! And this book did not dissapoint. Although I really didn't like Siya and Grath in Fairies of Death they did grow on me a little in this book. At least their story really did! Grath was way softer around Siya but would burn the world down for her and still their love was very tender.
Secrets, love and adventure come together in this book. And I loved getting glimpses of Isay and Kar. Their first meeting! And other characters from FoD make a appearence as well! A great prequel to Fairies of Death!

I love seeing Siya and Grath's love story unfold, and all the dangers they faced together.
It was fun to see the first time Isay and Karmuth meet too and all the angsty tension between them. I have been loving the worldbuilding and characters in this series. I cannot wait for the next book and for more of Siya and Grath.

Nature Fairies by Victoria Liiv is a mesmerizing journey into the heart of the Belfean Courts, blending romance, intrigue, and the raw beauty of the natural world with the danger of impossible choices. As the second book in the series, it expands the universe with depth and nuance while standing firmly on its own for new readers.

Siya’s character is a testament to resilience. Banished, stripped of her title, and living a secluded life on the fringes of society, her quiet strength shines through in her dedication to her daughter and her compassion for the injured creatures she heals. When her pursuit of a wounded ghlipon pulls her into the perilous Ferranti forest, the stakes immediately spike, and I found myself rooting for her survival.

Enter King Grath and his Death Court warriors—a dark and fascinating contrast to Siya’s nature-bound existence. Grath’s internal conflict is one of the highlights of the story. He is a powerful leader, desperate to save his starving people, yet drawn to Siya in ways that threaten his mission and his very nature. The tension between his duty to his court and his growing feelings for Siya adds an electrifying dynamic to the narrative.

The chemistry between Siya and Grath is intoxicating, with their connection teetering on the edge of danger and desire. The stakes couldn’t be higher, as their choices not only impact their lives but also the balance of the entire realm. I loved how their relationship developed naturally, navigating layers of mistrust, understanding, and undeniable attraction.

Liiv’s world-building is exquisite, with lush descriptions that transport you to the mystical forests and the haunting realm of the Death Court. The intricate lore of the Belfean Courts is woven seamlessly into the plot, making the stakes feel real and the conflicts deeply rooted.

If you enjoy tales of forbidden love, high-stakes fantasy, and strong yet vulnerable protagonists, Nature Fairies is a must-read. Victoria Liiv crafts a story that tugs at your heart while keeping you on the edge of your seat, eager to see how Siya and Grath navigate their impossible choices. I can’t wait to see what’s next in the Belfean Courts series!.

I loved reading Siya an Grath’s story in this prequel to Faeries of Death. This ends on a cliffhanger and I’m dying to read the next one. Siya way also a nice break from the typical badass FMC. Instead, Siya is shy, emotional and gets scared allowing others to take on the battles. Grath is the perfect strong male easy to unalive his people if they dare touch his woman! This shoul be added to your TBR and read sooner rather than later.

After reading Fairies of Death I couldn’t wait to dive into it’s prequel. Even though this story isn’t about Karmuth and Isay, it takes place in the same world. This story features the story of Grath and Siya. This enemies to lovers takes the readers onto a wild adventure into the Ferranti. What dangers will there be?

"Our futures are destined to be intertwined, I feel it in my heart. All I ask is for you to wait for me."

** ARC provided by StoryOrigin for an honest review. Thank you so much! **

This is a prequel to the Fairies of Death but it focuses on the King Grath and Siya story. While it is a prequel both Isay and Karmuth make an appearance.

“Nature Fairies” reminded me a lot of Patricia McKillip and Marillier’s old books, but they had elements of smut, which, personally, is a plus in my book.
The book starts with King Grath on a quest with his personal guard to find a rare bird to save the Kingdom of the Fairies of Death. In the forest, they find Siya, a nature fairy who represents the opposite of what King Grath’s court represents.

Both Siya and Grath are older, both already have children and lost people they loved. Siya, while a princess, was banished for having a child outside of her wedlock. Grath has lost his wife and still misses her dearly.  He points out that Siya is the opposite of his dead wife. Siya is calm and good-natured, she is regal and peaceful. Grath’s wife was a warrior who thrived in battle. But Grath is attracted to Siya’s poised and serene personality. He finds that he really wishes to protect her from the world. Siya herself states that she is not strong or that she does not know how to fight. She also has a lot of prejudice against Grath’s court but while there she struggles to accept that prejudice was fair. She sees how the people suffer from a decision she took part in years ago and how that action had consequences for the people.

Just like Isay and Karmuth, Grath cannot touch Siya as well since he can draw from her essence and kill her, but I do believe in “Fairies of Death” Karmuth’s feelings were more evident. Grath fights a lot about what he should do as a king, his duty, and what his people expect from him. Isay, on the other hand, is a lot more adventurous and stronger than her mother. In “Nature Fairies” we do not have that sense of longing that we had with Isay and Karmuth, both main characters are already adults living a second chance in life to be happy, while Isay and Karmuth have their first love story. So this feels more mature and more focused on the adventure and duties as adults. King Grath wishes to be with Siya and protect her but he knows the kingdom relies on him to survive. While Karmuth is still young he does not have that weight on his shoulders and he is much more careless with his feelings for Isay.

“Nature Fairies” feels like Victoria Liiv took a more adult and mature tone to the Belfean court series and I welcome it. It reminisces about vintage fantasy books where the hero goes on a quest and the princess helps him achieve his goals. The worldbuilding is still on point and brings us back to a time when we dream of enchanted forests and princesses and kings. This book is just an introduction to King Grath and Siya’s story, so we will need to keep reading to see how their relationship evolves and I will gladly read it.

Nature Fairies by Victoria Liiv is a captivating fantasy novel that effortlessly combines elements of magic, mystery, and romance. The story follows Siya, a disowned and exiled woman, who lives a quiet, lonely life on the fringes of society. When she tends to an injured ghlipon deep in Ferranti forest, her path crosses with the dangerous and enigmatic Death Court, setting off a chain of events that threatens everything she knows.

Liiv’s world-building is rich and immersive, with Ferranti forest and the fairy courts feeling like living, breathing entities that shape the story. The tension between Siya and King Grath is palpable, as Grath’s initial mission to capture Siya for her life force gradually transforms into something much more complicated. Siya herself is a sympathetic and resilient character, her inner strength revealed through her compassion for the creatures she helps and her growing awareness of the dangers around her.

The slow-burn romance between Siya and Grath adds depth to the plot, intertwining with themes of survival and sacrifice. Grath’s moral struggle as he grapples with his growing feelings for Siya, and his duty to his court, creates a compelling emotional arc. The exploration of power dynamics, particularly in the context of the Death Court’s ruthless hierarchy, adds another layer of intrigue to the novel.

While the pacing can be uneven at times, with certain sections dragging a little, Nature Fairies shines in its exploration of complex relationships and the high-stakes world of fairy politics. Liiv’s lyrical prose and well-drawn characters make this book a worthwhile read for fans of dark fantasy and forbidden romance.

I don't generally judge a book by its cover. And I don't judge a series by the first book in its series. But, I did both things in this case, and I wasn't wrong so far. Nature Fairies is the very, very intense prequel to Death Fairies. And both books I judged by their covers and I loved them. Their covers were amazing. I loved them. Their dedications were amazing. And stepping into this world is intoxicating.

I love when a fantasy book that has new and intriguing words in it, that, rather then trying to guess what the word means, rather then trying to figure things out around the word the author provides us with the means to understand that word. The ever useful Glossary. It just makes understanding the book easier, but it also makes the book more enjoyable.

This book is so beautifully written, I just loved it. Siya may not be your typical bad-ass female FMC, but she is still am amazing FMC. Yes, she is shy and gets scared easily. But, she also finds her bravery, and in her own way, she proves that yes, she is, in fact, a bad-ass. And I can't wait to read even more of this world.

And don't get me started on Grath. That man is just too much, in my opinion. And Kar. Victoria has written then men in this book perfectly.

I will say that this is another great fantasy book of 2024. This has been a great year for fantasy books. I have to say that I would recommend this book and I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did. Victoria Liiv, you are an amazing talent, and I can't wait to read your next book.

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I’ll start with what didn’t work for me, because I want to leave off with what did work because in the end, I enjoyed the book and want to continue the series.

The bad: The editing. Honestly, I think it could have done with another round or two of edits. Small things such as spelling mistakes removed and fixing up odd turns of phrase which would have made the writing flow a lot better.

The insta-love between the two main characters. I am not personally a fan of instant attraction and ‘love at first sight’ storylines so the romance in this rang quite hollow for me which ruined for me what is quite a big part of the story. It could well be a part of the world building that this is just how it is with ‘mates’ - a quick and intense thing but I enjoy a slow burn much more so this could well be just a ‘me problem’.

The good: The world building. I love the way Liiv builds and describes her worlds as well as the way her characters fit in and interact with the world. I want to learn and read more about Belfea and the different courts.

The characters. I love many of the characters in this world and the way they interacted. Karmuth was a clear favourite for me but that could be because I have read Fairies of Death as well.

Overall, I did enjoy this book and I will be continuing with the series and other books set in Belfea.

I cannot wait to read the other books in this series, oh my gosh. I wasn't aware there was already one out, Fairies of Death, and seeing that this was book 0.5 had me slightly worried that I'd need to read that first. Thankfully, the author's note stated it was possible to read this one first, so away I went!

I was happy that this included a little glossary for the different locations and types of creatures and such. That is always a joy to find included in a fantasy story to help get oriented with the world.

At first, I wasn't sure how to feel about the tension between MCs Siya and Grath - and then I realized we've got a fated mates trope on hand here and I was more pulled into the story. Having that in mind, the insta-lovey connection they had felt more appropriate and I can say that I really enjoyed their somewhat speedy love story.

The history among the various Fairy Courts was super interesting, and I liked how you get stories about not just the Court that tossed out Siya as princess, but also about why the Death Court is pretty much just surviving-not-thriving these days.

This book is for you if you like stories about fated mates, forbidden love, a couple of jaw-dropping smutty scenes, and incredible fantasy creatures (the symera is my fav - a giant metal cat? I wanna pet it).

As I read Nature Fairies, I was completely immersed in the story. The author managed to create some of the most likeable and relatable characters I've read about in a long time. I felt like I was on a journey with Siya. I was impressed with the flow of this book. I couldn't stop reading until I finished it, only to find out that it was a cliff hanger. I needed to know what was coming next!

“𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒍 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒐𝒏𝒆?” 𝒔𝒉𝒆 𝒂𝒔𝒌𝒆𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒂 𝒇𝒖𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒓𝒐𝒘.

“𝑬𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒃𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔, 𝑺𝒊𝒚𝒂.”

I really liked how the author connected Fairies of death to this book. I enjoyed reading Isay's POV of her mom and stepfather Grath but never knew their story. And I adored Kar in the previous one, no change I still love him. He's still the same, Alexa please play "can't help falling in love".

I appreciate the way the author described everything, that makes us feel like watching a show in the winter season. King Grath flirting with Siya, was my favorite scene. Especially the one where he talked about travelling mountains. Their chemistry is intense. I was so drawn to the plotline as the ending made me want to scream! I need to read book 2 soon to find out.

Nature Fairies by Victoria Liiv

I received an ARC copy in exchange for my honest review.

"You’re like the morning breeze, I want to hold, but cannot touch. And then, you make my heart squeeze as all that I can do is watch."

Nature Fairies pulls us deep into the magical realm of Belfea, where Siya, a nature fairy, braves the dangerous Ferranti forest to find and help a wounded mystical creature. Along the way, she crosses paths with King Grath, a death fairy carrying a tragic past. Sparks fly between them…but maybe not in the way I’d hoped.

Liiv's world-building stands out here—her descriptions make Belfea feel vivid and alive, and the courts and creatures have solid depth. But the romance? Not quite for me. Grath’s instant attraction to Siya felt a bit off, especially given his grief over losing Bermali, his mate. For someone so heartbroken, his leap into new feelings didn’t sit right. I would’ve preferred a slower burn, a connection that built up naturally.

Overall, this book has good vibes for a fantasy read with magical settings and adventure, even if the love story didn’t fully click for me. If you’re curious about the Belfean Courts series and enjoy a mix of whimsy and darker elements, it’s worth a shot. It’s also a quick read, so you can easily finish it in one sitting.

💀 - Enemies to Lovers
🧚‍♂️ - Fated Mates
💀 - Touch Her and Die
🧚‍♂️ - Second Chance Love
💀 - Opposites Attract

Nature Fairies is the prequel to Fairies of Death. The story follows Siya, the former Elverstone Princess cast out to live in a cottage by the forest with her daughter Isay. Her life takes a turn when one day she ventures into the Ferranti forest and crosses the Uri to help an injured Ghlipon.

Her self-appointed mission leads her directly into the path of Vindican warriors and their King. These men are on their own mission to save the Death Court. Their mission takes a turn once they happen upon Siya. King Grath cannot get the image of her out of his head and his warriors can’t help but want to touch her and steal her life force.

The world building and historical explanations of the Belfaen Courts are fantastic! The chemistry between Grath and Siya is palpable but constantly has the undercurrent and real knowledge that his touch could kill her.

This fairytale is full of angst, heartbreak, sexual tension and forbidden love!

Will she die at the hands of this man or will she be the essence for his Court’s survival?

Thank you Victoria Liiv for entrusting me with this arc. It is so beautifully written.. and thank the lord for a glossary!!! I cannot wait to read more of this series!

Okay, so this book is a prequel to Fairies of Death so I kind of read it before Fairies of Death unlike most people.
It tells us all about Siya and King Grath's whole meeting during a rescue operation and how they fell in love with each other.
I personally loved this book so much, the world building was amazing, the wordings as well as the whole scenery was also superb. There is also a glossary that helps you incase you forget anything along the line.
At first Siya was a bit timid and unsure (which i didn't really like)but I loved the fact that we get to see her grow and become more firm and badass.
We first see king Grath as a man who has lost his mate but then Siya comes along as his second mate and he feels an instant connection and love for her.
I enjoyed reading this book and also loved Fairies of Death which I read after this. We also get to see Sayi and king Grath there but the main focus is their daughter.

I totally recommend this book for anyone who loves:

Fated mates
Dark romance
Second Chance
Forced proximity
Touch her and you die

I would love to say a huge Thank you Author Victoria Liiv for choosing me to be an ARC reader for this incredible book and I look forward to reading more of your books.

Welcome to Belfea, where danger and passion intertwine. If you won’t run you will get caught in the whirlwind.

Forced proximity
Enemies to Lovers
Second Chance
Opposites attract
Fated Mates
Dark Fairies
Touch her and you’ll die
His touch could kill her

I was kindly given an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review and I first was to start off by thanking Victoria Liiv from trusting me with the story she has created. I throughly enjoyed this story, it is a prequel to her other book Fairies of Death (you should check that out!!) this book is about the mother of the main character of Fairies of Death. Definitely read F.O.D. first as Nature Fairies will spoil some things for you. :) This book answered some questions brought up in Fairies of Death which I really enjoyed that. This story is fast paced and a magical adventure with a very interesting world and magic system. I honestly enjoyed this better than Fairies if Death (both are good but I mean this in a AH THEY KEEP GETTING BETTER way) 😊 Victoria Liiv has brought something new to the book world and I think you should check it out!! If you love fairies and romance, and the tropes I listed above, this book is for you!! 🧚

I received a Arc copy of Nature Fairies for my honest review.
Nature fairies follows Siyas and Garth’s story of how they meet where they felt a pull towards each other.
if you’ve read Fairies of Death Victoria Liiv first book you would have meet Siya and Grath in Isay ( siyas daughter) and Karmuths story. this would be set before their story but if you’re going to read Nature Fairies be sure to read Fairies of Death first for their are spoilers.
As the Death court have their feeding grounds restricted due to the other courts believing in an attack from the death fairie, death fairies feed on life forces from other beings ( fairies and humans, but they prefer fairies life force.) king Grath and his warriors from the death court set out deep into the Ferrari forest in search for hope for his people who are starving away. But Siya is a Nature fairy and doesn’t take from life but instead tends to it and heals it, when she too ventures to deep into the Ferrari forest in search of a injured Ghilpon she has a run in with the death fairies.

spoiler :
what will happen when those from to different courts find themselves craving the others touch when just a touch is all a Death fairy will need to drain a nature fairy to death.

A little confusing chronologically and not as intriguing as the first book

I read part 1 of this series, fairies of death and this book is officially mentioned as book 2, but it is in fact a prequel. The writer explains that you can read this one first but that it will spoil several plot twists in the book that is, on paper the first of the series, fairies of death. I would indeed recommend to take the writers advice.

The story is original and the characters believable. But I found it less intriguing then book one. This has to do with the female character, which I could not connect with. She is the mother of the main character in book one, but almost totally the opposite. Also, the romance seems more because it is destined then because they appreciate each others characters, skills etc. The adventure is limited to trekking through nature and surviving and a short stay in a city. I can't help comparing it to the first book, and although its in a similar style, this book is weaker the the first.

You also might want to know in advance that it ends with a cliffhanger ( for which the author apologized by the way) but too be very honest, I am not sure if I will want to go trough the trouble of getting my hands on the next part of this story.

Nature Fairies is the prequel to Fairies of Death by Victoria Liiv. This author recommends to read this book second even though it takes place before Fairies of Death because of some revelations that would make certain plot twist predictable.

In this book we follow Siya and Grath. Siya is Isay’s mom and Grath is the king of the Death Fairies. In Fairies of Death we learned they are mated and Nature Fairies tells the story of how they meet and fall in love!

Siya accidentally goes too far into the forest trying to save a mythical animal called a gliphon and she runs into king Grath and his warriors who are hunting another mythical animal they need for a ritual.

About 50 years ago the Death fairies were punished and their hunting grounds restricted. This causes a dwindling disease among the death fairies. Some of the warriors and death fairies see Siya as their way to beat it all, but King Grath protects her and has a different plan.

Will Siya survive the death fairies? Will she see her daughter again? Will they ever be able to touch each other without Siya dying? Read it now!

Stripped from her title and banished to a small cabin at Elverstone, Siya has been living with her illegitimate daughter for years. When she tries to pursue a ghlipon to treat its wound, unconsciously she walks deeper into Ferranti forest. Then she meets a man who will change her life forever.

This book is a prequel to Fairies of Death. I feel this book is appropriate to be an introduction book before the series because it explains more about the Belfea realm, the Fae courts, and other magical beings. This book had more monsters than the Fairies of Death. The story explains what makes Belfea's realm like today. Actually, I like Grath. He looks scary but has a teddy bear personality. He is a loyal, responsible and act of service man. For Siya? She just needs to heal from the past. In fact, both of them need it. That’s why they complement each other.

I saw real potential for a character in Siya. She just needs to add brave, fierce protection for the people she loves and a little bit of some baddass. I mean she could have a scene when she killed some monster to protect her daughter/Grath? Using some weapons or using her own magic. It would be great!

Nature Fairies by Victoria Liiv is a captivating prequel to Fairies of Death, immersing readers in a world filled with tension, survival, and forbidden love. Siya, a resilient character, faces banishment and lives on the outskirts of society, yet her strength shines through her care for her daughter and the creatures she heals. When she ventures into the dangerous Ferranti forest to help a wounded ghlipon, the stakes rise, and I found myself cheering for her survival. King Grath and his Death Court warriors present a dark contrast to Siya's life. Grath struggles with his duty to save his people while feeling drawn to Siya, creating a thrilling tension in the story. Their chemistry is electric, as their choices affect not just their lives but the entire realm. This intense prequel sets the stage for Fairies of Death in the Belfaen Courts Series. If you love stories of forbidden romance and strong characters, Nature Fairies is a must-read. Victoria Liiv delivers a gripping tale that keeps you engaged and eager for more in the series! THIS BOOK WAS MAGICAAAAL!! I really like this world and the construction of each character is art 😍😍.

5/5 ⭐

Remember this is the prequel of Fairies of death (Belfean court #1).

We start this story with Siya, a naturel, following an injured ghlipon who fell in a trap. The problem? She hasn't realized how far in she has traveled into the Ferranti forest, a place where deadly creatures live and hunt. She will only take notice of this when her ecos alert her of another presence, well several others in fact. Death fairies. The worst of their world. Evil incarnate.
But when she has no other option than to trust them so she can go back to her daughter, she'll have to survive in the Death Court long enough to see her home again, in one piece.

I really liked getting to know more about Siya, I found her chapters really enjoyable, and King Grath OHMYGOD THAT'S A MAN. I am so in love 😩😩. And the glimpses of Kar and Isay were EVERYTHING. GO READ FAIRIES OF DEATH.

Do I LOVE this? YES. Would I recommend? 100% yes.

Love you all and happy reading 💋💋

To begin, I’d like to say that I’m not at all upset that this is book two of the series. I will read the first, there’s no doubt in my mind. My obsession, alongside the mafia, has always been the dark faerie tales. I love them. My true love, albeit, will always be Holly Black’s series, A Modern Faerie Tale.

Believe me, and I lift my hand for this, this book does not disappoint in any aspect. For me, I’m a sucker for animals. I was pulled in with the description alone. A single mom who works too hard? If you get the reference, you’re amazing. Fantasy animals? A darkness that becomes something twisted yet too enticing to resist? The Faerie courts? Come on, it’s a rabbit hole of fun that deserves to be enjoyed. I will be exploring to see if I can find character art, I will be happily making a playlist based around the book at some point, and I am definitely encouraging friends of mine to purchase to read. You deserve a little spice and a lot of thorns in the best way possible, I certainly did.

“Nature Fairies” is technically the prequel to “Fairies of Death,” but I would highly suggest reading “Fairies of Death” first so you don’t get spoiled.

This is the first part of Grath and Siya’s story, and I have to say that Victoria Liiv did an amazing job setting the scene for that! I loved Grath and Siya’s interactions with each other, and I’m intrigued by them.

I really want to know more about Grath. He’s the king of the death fae, and he’s been through a lot of pain, which is part of the reason why he acts the way he does. I also loved how much he cared about Siya.

As for Siya, I think she’s a total sweetheart. Even though people look at her and assume she’s weak, I don’t think that’s the case at all. Siya has a kind of quiet strength that helps her make it through difficult situations.

The cliffhanger at the end of this book literally made me want to scream, and I can’t wait to see what happens next for Grath and Siya! I highly recommend Victoria Liiv’s writing style to fans of far/fairy fantasy romance!

After reading Death Fairies, the first book in the Belfean Courts series, I was dying to know how Princess Siya of the nature fairies and King Grath of the death fairies met and mated. This book does not disappoint, but jumps right into their story. There was just the right amount of sexual tension and sizzle, and I was pulling for them to find a way to consummate their attraction without someone dying. Unfortunately, we will have to wait until the next book to find out how they overcame it, but Grath did come up with some creative ways to work around his touch of death.

There is also a glimpse of Kar and Isay, the main characters in Death Fairies, getting their "meet cute", which doesn't go so well. A lot of backstory is explained, which was great. Victoria Liiv does such a good job of character development and world building that it is very easy to fall in love with the people in her worlds. I can't wait to read the next books to see how the two couples continue towards their HEAs.

I read an advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Nature Fairies ARC by Victoria Liiv starts with a captivating slow burn, carefully introducing each character, especially the intriguing Siya. Known from Fairies of Death, Siya takes center stage in this story. Her fateful encounter with King Grath is electric, with an undeniable spark pulling them together. Grath, the powerful and protective king of the death fairies, surprises by risking everything for Siya’s safety—even defying his own people. Their chemistry is magnetic yet complicated, as Siya finds herself torn between her responsibilities and the intense connection she feels with Grath. The unique pairing of a death fae and a nature fae adds a dangerous edge to their bond, making every moment between them feel high-stakes. Just when the tension reaches a peak, the story ends on a cliffhanger, leaving readers eagerly awaiting the next installment to see what fate has in store for this thrilling duo.

“Everyone wanted to accuse someone else, push the guilt around as long as it didn’t touch themselves.”

“Nature Fairies,” by Victoria Liiv

This series was so good. I was shocked at this one though, because I wasn’t expecting book 2 to be about the mother falling for the death fairy’s king. I liked all of it, beginning to end, it was a solid plot with good characters that I liked. I love how some of book 1 leaked into this book by showing how Isay responded to her mother’s disappearance by going after her which made me think she was even more brave than I thought in book 1 and Karmuth was fun to see when his emotions weren’t heightened by Siya, just a tiny glimpse of more about the characters I already fell in love with. The way they made smut when they couldn’t touch was creative lol. I really liked it, 5 out of 5 stars.

-Enemies To Lovers
-Fae
-Touch her and die
-His touch could kill her
-Multi POV

Thank you for the ARC, Booksprout.

Although I enjoyed this story; I wasn't really feeling Siya that much. A disowned Nature Fairy who was left to fend for herself after getting pregnant by another noble fae prince with a hidden agenda. Siya has an 18-year-old daughter who knows nothing her lineage or who she truly is. Siya would go out leaving her daughter behind as if she was a little child. Until the day Siya crossed path with Grath the King of the Death Fairies.

Death Fairies feed on Nature Fairies; so, imagine Grath's surprise when he recognized Siya as his second chance mate; but a mate he cannot touch without taking her life force. Throughout this story Siya tried to remind herself that the Death Fairies were evil but a small part of her wanted Grath. Siya and Grath had a complicated relationship and no matter how much Grath tried to prove himself to Siya, she remained stoic and pessimistic; not to mention she kept keeping secrets but wanted people to trust her.

This story is about Grath and Siya but also serves as a prelude to her daughter and Grath's son's story. So, expect a stepsibling, fated mate trope between their two children. This book actually ends on a Cliffhanger but if you've read Fairies of Death, you will be able to see what transpired after the events in this book.
