This was an interesting start to the series. I wasn't blown away by it and definitely not my favourite start to a series, but I'd consider continuing.

I had never heard of this manga before, until I saw it in the shop recently. I really enjoyed the artstyle and the savageness of the main character. Very curious to see what happens in volume 2!

Where can I get a queer guardian ghost to enact revenge upon my enemies for me? Would be fun and it would fix a lot of my problems.

Anyway.

This is so much fun? If that wasn’t clear. What a unique and well-executed idea. I’m digging this story so far.

I support women’s rights—but I REALLY support women’s wrongs. I love unhinged women. More, I love vengeful, hell hath no fury women—and I get a whole lot of that here.

Ushiro is my girl. And, Masako is my other girl.

Two bad b*tches. Two dumb b*tches telling each other, “EXACTLY!” What’s the difference? lol.

All joking aside, I do very much appreciate when a story has a notably queer character in it but the character’s queerness isn’t their only personality trait. They’re a part of the main cast and they just so happen to be queer. Their identity isn’t being tokenized or fetishized. Love that. Want more of it in manga.

Totally looking forward to reading more~

GOGOGOGO-GO-GHOST! is interesting, because it's josei and semi horror too. Ushiro Akechi was in a relationship that ended her career and now she's rock bottom and the guy took off. The woman keeps drinking beer and ends up hitting her head, almost dying due to it. She meets this guardian spirit called Masako and the thing is horrifying at times, but promises to help our main character with her grudge. The two end up taking revenge on those that hurt Ushiro in the past. The setting is great and Ushiro's character is awesome. I love it how we don't know that much about Masako, but we get glimpses. The series is only five books long, which seems a good choice. This first part isn't that coherent though, as it's mostly small occurrences, but I hope the story gets a stronger red thread towards the end.

The art is superb and works well with the story. It's realistic, but still humorous. This is such an interesting josei series and I'm glad this was translated into English. I want to know what happens and what kind of a monster Masako actually is. This can only get better!

I really loved this volume! What a great intro to this series. It has a lot of things going for it:
•Office workplace setting for some of the chapters. It unexpectedly gave Wotakoi or Ice Guy vibes.
•Super fun supernatural sidekick character that acts on Akechi's every impulse. She does get skrewed over a lot but I love that she has evil thoughts that she can actually act on with Masako's spirit powers. Makes the characters morally grey and fun to watch
•The comedy really worked for me! I often enjoy comedy manga but it doesn't always make me genuinely laugh like this series
•The art is cute, impressive, and even a little creepy when Masako goes "Horror Mode"
•Masako is giving me trans vibes which is very cool! And I don't think it's just my fan canon brain talking it seems to be intentional.

I don't know I just really loved this. It seems to be quite underrated too so pick it up! You won't regret it

I enjoyed this. Reading manga with adult characters who have adult problems is refreshing. And I love the supernatural elements in this one. Who among us wouldn't love to have a guardian spirit too? Especially one like Masako, who is just as salty and petty as the protagonist. I'm definitely going to pick up volume 2.

This was okay. I'm not sure if I will continue the series. It wasn't bad, but maybe not for me. I was amused at times, but it was darker than I expected. I thought it would be funnier because of the name.

Fun volume about a woman and her guardian spirit seeking revenge on the people that screw up her life - workplace bullies, bad managers, loud people in the apartment next door, etc. Can't wait to see who gets it next.

Sassy corporate woman x cool vibey ghost x revenge themed? Count me in!

I totally enjoyed everything about the story, from the humour to the artstyle to the storyline. It feels pretty realistic to curse each one of the bad characters, and especially these kinds of people exist in our day-to-day life.

I’m really in favour with the manga illustrator one! It’s quite funny and heartwarming~

What if you find out you have a guardian spirit? What if that opens routes to revenge? Then revenge it is! Muhahaha!

I saw this manga up on Comics Plus and just had to give it a shot. I love funny manga featuring ghosts + revenge!

👻 I felt for Asechi (at least a bit given that she was still in an affair) with her stomach ache and then dying. I would also be WTF if I would wake up and see my body lying there, and oh yes, some ghost just standing over me, haha. That sure was a fantastic way to start this book. Plus, I could definitely understand that she had zero ambition to get back in her body, I mean, with everything going on (some of it due to her own stupidity others not so much). I loved how she restarted thanks to the fuel/motivation of revenge.
👻 I loved seeing Asechi grow stronger and develop a thicker skin along with a more FUCK this attitude. It helps that she knows she has a guardian spirit who helps her out with revenge and other things.
👻 The revenges were so fab and I loved seeing Masako and Asechi start them. At times subtle, at other times Masako’s horror mode was terrifying the heck out of me. I felt for the girl next door, haha. As for the others? Not so much. I am curious what more revenges will be done. I mean, we still got several to go and I am sure that Asechi will find some more as the volumes go on. I am especially invested in Yuu-senpai getting his dues.
👻 I loved seeing Masako and Asechi together, share beers (just offer it to Masako) and cigarettes, chat, and have a great time. It was just so fun.
👻 Masako was such a fun character, though I am sorry, I thought they were a guy for most of the book. Maybe I was just too tired and missed out the hints, but everything just screamed gay guy ghost to me. But still I loved Masako, and I hope that they are truly 100% a good spirit and not fucking around with Akechi. We do get some glimpses at times, for instance Masako has that horror mode. But then there are moments that she helps Asechi, like with the revenges, or when an accident almost happens. I hope we learn more as the story goes.
👻 I love how, when you are a ghost, you have that little triangle on your head. It is something you see at times in anime/manga, but not that often, so I like the detail.
👻 The cover and how it looks like a memorial photograph/frame that you would see in real life.
👻 The art style is really fun.

😒 People who know me know that I DON’T like cheating. And so yes, my view of our MC was a bit coloured learning that she had an affair with her senpai WHILE HE WAS MARRIED. Girl, fuck no. That is just a big no no in my book.

All in all, I definitely am happy I tried out this volume and I will be reading more (by the time this review comes up I hope to have read volumes 2 and 3). I need to know if Asechi gets all her revenges done and what kind of fun she has with Masako.
