Then our paths collide again at my ex’s fundraiser. That’s where I learn the truth about who Gideon really is.

I also learn that he’s forbidden with a capital F.

I know I should stay away from him, but this “good girl” is suddenly ready to go bad. Very, very bad.

This is a beautiful love story. It's a little bit out of my reading comfort zone, but one I'm so glad I read. Fate made it so these two could meet and have one incredible night together. Then all shocks their real lives collide between the two. To the reading outside my reading comfort zone with the praise kink and the ex boyfriend's dad situation, but Lili Valente weaved her magic with her words and had me falling in love with these characters. You can't deny these two have a true connection though navigating it is a little tricky. I loved Sydney's friends in Maine. I want to be part of their book club. Fun times to be had for sure plus rescue kitties are involved! This book made me truly happy where the characters end up. Sydney has an old soul compared to her peers and her caring, giving heart fits perfectly with Gideon. I can see those two changing the world for the better. Be prepared for things to get very steamy between Sydney and Gideon. They burn up the pages, but it's special because of that deeper connection of their souls. I gobbled this book right up!

I knew about this book months ago and couldn’t wait for it to come out. I enjoy Lili’s books and it was nice to read something different than what I’ve read of hers in the past or what is still going on. This book had all the sweetness, tender moments and innocence you can get without being too naive or young adult. It knew when to be sweet and when to include heat and passion. I immediately knew where this story was going to go upon the first couple of chapters. The book wasn’t rushed and I felt like it built up Gideon and Sydney’s relationship. I thought for sure there would be feelings of regret, guilt or fear of falling in love and allowing yourself to become vulnerable. This book didn’t have any of this and it was so refreshing! You got two people who felt the chemistry with each other and weren’t afraid of it. The only thing that bothered Gideon was her age and that takes him a little longer to get over. What starts off as a one night stand, ends up setting the stage for lingering feelings and missing each other. Gideon and Sydney felt like they were each other’s halves and felt empty without the other. It brought feelings of loneliness and missing something out of life. Gideon helped her realize she needed to take a step back from her career and duty and just enjoy life and gain a sense of well being and mental health. Meanwhile, Sydney helped him rediscover his relationship with his son and allow love back into his life after getting put through the wringer with his ex. Gideon didn’t scorn love, he just felt like it wasn’t meant for him because of his mistakes, until he met Sydney. It was just nice to read a book with essentially little drama and no miscommunication. In this case, any concerns both of them had with anything, they talked about it or it was cleared up almost immediately. There was a lot of assumptions in this book and it was reflecting with what I was thinking as well, only to be surprised when what we think a situation might play out ends up being the total opposite. This book had surprises but was also predictable, everything I love about books and reading romance. Their lives were complicated but it didn’t steer them away from each other, instead it brought them together and you feel it in this story. You felt their honesty, but you also got a lot of vulnerability in this book too. I’d even say this book was full of vulnerabilities that both Gideon and Sydney weren’t afraid to reveal to each other because of their unjudgemental nature. It was nice to read about a hero and heroine that didn’t bump heads or argue with each other. It was a definite feel good story, and I am so happy I was able to read this and conclude that it absolutely deserves 5 stars.

Dare I say that this is Lili Valente's best book to date? I adore reading her romantic comedies, especially the ones that she's published over the past year because they've brought a much needed light in what's been a trying time for me; but Take Me, I'm Yours was more witty than humorous, and it just had this oomph to it that not only set it apart from the author's more recent work, but also from other contemporary romances that have the age-gap trope.

Twenty-four-year-old Sydney Perry-Watson and thirty-nine-year-old Phillip Gideon Gabaldon meet, they agree to one night and nothing more. But as fate would have it, not only would their paths cross again, but the reality of who they are and the ties they share make anything going forward unthinkable. The thing is, they haven't exactly stopped thinking about that one night, nor can they deny that the connection they share is far more than just lust. Are they ready to risk any and all the consequences that come with finally admitting that he's hers and she's his?

From the get-go, this story had me, and there was simply no way that grip Sydney and Gideon had on my heart was going to slip. That's in large part due to Lili Valente's writing, which just felt so inspired from start to finish. I loved the element of the forbidden, more so the acknowledgment that as hot as things were between them physically, this was true love for both and how they were willing to fight for what they had as a couple. There were pleasant little surprises when it came to the direction the story took, and I'm always a fan of an author who manages to do that, especially in an admittedly crowded genre like romance. Five-plus stars for the very worthy Take Me, I'm Yours.

Is it hot in here or is it Gideon and Sydney… “Take Me, I’m Yours” is a steamy and heartfelt age gap romance that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let go of me the whole time.

Sydney is in Maine for the summer visiting friends and also helping out an animal rescue. When she gets the call one night that a pilot needs help and shelter from a storm coming in, she instantly steps in. Gideon is a businessman and pilot who volunteers to help fly animals to new homes. The moment he lays eyes on Sydney, he feels an instant attraction to each other. Both agree to one night. And both are surprised when they see each other a month later and share a mutual connection neither was expecting.

From the first chapter, I was 100% hooked on this story. I loved Sydney from the beginning and instantly connected with her. She’s caring, loves animals and loves to read. Gideon had me swooning throughout the whole book. A pilot, businessman, and an older man who knows exactly what he’s doing. Their connection was sizzling and grew hotter as the story went on. I loved how they reconnected a month later and their connection that came to light. The two had a 15 year age gap and that was the perfect amount of years. She is 24 and he’s 39. They have some bumps to work out and do it with respect for each other and their situation. The ending was so sweet and the perfect way to wrap up their story.

There are few authors who can take tired old tropes, turn them on their head, and make me love them, but dang if this talented wordsmith hasn’t done exactly that.

We start on the east coast where Sydney is doing a summer internship. During a terrible storm, she agrees to give a ride to a pilot who's flying some rescue pups to their new home. Of course, the storm strands Phillip, and he and Sydney spend an unforgettable night in a lighthouse. It's a memory to hold close since they'll never see each other again.

Fast forward several weeks, and Sydney is back home in Manhattan and attending a fundraiser party as a favor to her ex-boyfriend because he needs a date. She's shocked to see Phillip there, and even more shocked to find out he's her ex's father. Not only that, Phillip is a colleague of Sydney's father. The Universe sure has a weird sense of humor sometimes.

While this one is a fun, entertaining read, I love the complexity of the characters. Sydney may be young, but she's an old soul, wise to the ways of the world, incredibly kind, and so smart. I loved watching the character growth, especially between Phillip and his son, and the twists and surprises were breath-taking! A top-notch, phenomenal read from beginning to end, you definitely won’t want to miss this one!

Overall 4.75 ⭐️ Typically, the secretly-dating-my-ex’s-dad is a trope I despise, but something told me to give this one a shot and I’m glad I did. I appreciated there was an actual plot and storyline and that the author didn’t fill the pages with a dozen close-call scenes of the ex finding out, which seems to be the norm with this trope. The MC’s relationship was a good match and there’s a perfect amount of spice.🌶️

And, major kudos to Gideon being a pilot that volunteers to rescue dogs, especially pitties. 🐶🧡

I knocked off a 1/4 star because the angst scene towards the end left me scratching my head asking wut??? For the entire book, Sydney was this thoughtful, mature, well-educated woman, but in that scene when she wakes up to seeing her best friend blowing up her phone with text after text after text BEGGING her to call her about something bad that has happened, she’ll help Sydney get through it, etc, Sydney decides she needs to walk out on the balcony to make that phone call, but wait, first she needs to pick her clothes off the floor AND put on mascara “because she always feels more confident with it on.” I could understand if that scene was written because Sydney was purposely stalling to not have to call her friend back, but that wasn’t the case.

Also, um hello…press criminal charges! 😡🤦🏻‍♀️

Messy beautiful love

I loved, loved Sydney and Gideon’s age-gap, forbidden, ONS, virgin, beautifully messy romance. This story had the perfect balance of humor, love, real life issues, and spicy spice with a generous amount of supportive friends, messy families, painful pasts, and unexpected curve balls. Sydney is a 24 year old virgin who’s a perfectionist and has spent her life trying to please her high powered father. Gideon is a 39 year old billionaire father with a 22 year old son. When Sydney and Gideon meet in Maine, they have an instant and intense attraction and chemistry which results in a steamy ONS. They part ways amicably planning to never see each other again. When they meet again in NYC, they discover Gideon’s son is Sydney ex-boyfriend (who she was not intimate with) and that’s just the beginning of their complications. Deciding to stay away from each other is harder than it should be but should they stay away or embrace what they could have? The journey to their HEA involved all the good baggage unpacking and angst inducing character growth. This complicated and heartwarming story was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters, and an engaging storyline.

**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

Oh. My. Gosh. This book is panty melting and I totally fell in love with Gideon and Sydney. Both characters are smart, go for what they want and Sydney certainly is an old soul in a young body.

Gideon may be fifteen years older than Sydney with a son her age, but never has he found a connection like what he finds very quickly with the young woman who picks him up from the airport one night in the rain.

Sydney has a lovely group of friends around her, even her ex Aides who turns out to be Gideon son, however when Aiden finds out about the pair, he is more supportive and sweet than I thought he would be.

I loved who the characters were not afraid to go for what they wanted, had a grownup relationship without shying away and avoiding the hard topics and were there to support and encourage each other as individuals and their wants and needs. The chemistry between them certainly heated up the pages.

I really enjoyed this book and would certainly recommend for those who like a streamier read.

Major Swoon Alert!! Hands down, ladies you will fall head over heals for Gideon! I mean who does not love a man who has a sense of what he wants and desires! My lawd, I was reading through every page, every chapter absorbing this story as if my nights were dedicated to this book! Who needs sleep, right? I could not get enough of Take Me I'm Yours!

I loved Syfney and loved she was in the right place at the right time, even though there was a bit of a hiccup meeting Gideon. And then who knew fate had other ideas for these two with another catch up - but with a bit of an awkward situation.

I loved how Lili brought this story to life. I whole haertily feel for these characters and burned the midnight oil to get to the end. I loved it all!

5 steamy heartfelt stars!!

Oh my! Lili Valente took the forbidden trope with a “good girl” kick and turned it into a heartwarming, intriguing story.

Gideon is a swoon of an older man who Sydney meets one summer night in Maine. They spend an unforgettable night together, but since she is significantly younger and they are both headed in different career directions - they agree that’s all it will be.

Until…fate intervenes. Once they meet again - it is hard to deny their chemistry even if he is Forbidden on several fronts.

Sydney and Gideon just get each other and it’s been a while since I’ve read a steamy, kinky romance from Ms. Valente, but it’s just as good and really even better than all the previous ones.

I adored these two on so many levels and when betrayal happens - it just makes them fight for each other even harder.

Absolutely loved this story!! 5 steamy stars with real heart!

I voluntarily requested and read an advance reader copy.

5-Star Surprise!

Take Me I'm Yours popped up on my Facebook feed, and I'm so glad I read the blurb! Clearly the algorithms have me nailed, but forbidden age gaps are becoming more and more popular, and many are not as good as this one.

I inhaled TMIY; it was engrossing and sexy and romantic from the very beginning, and the story held my attention till the end. I will be reading the bonus epilogue momentarily, excited for that last small treat, to find out even more about Gideon's and Sydney's HEA. This author is new to me, and I loved this book so much I will be browsing her catalog for sure.

TMIY is age gap / boyfriends dad done well and very entertainingly. It has a gorgeous Maine setting in the beginning that I love, strong female relationships, shady characters who redeem themselves, and last but not least all-conquering romance and very well-done spice that makes TMIY a new favorite, and a definite recommended read.

Another delightful novel from Lili Valente! I've read a few of her books, not all, and I've always enjoyed what I've read. Take Me I'm Yours is no exception. This steamy, sweet love story is just what I was needing after finishing up a few dark romances. I knew I could count on this author to bring back the sunshine and smiles to my life!

Gideon and Sydney may have had an age gap between them, but it was clear from the start that they were meant for each other. How they navigated their "one-night-only" relationship to a "lifetime-together" one was not always easy, but they managed to get there nevertheless.

I thoroughly enjoyed all the twists, turns, ups and downs of this story. The characters were all interesting, believable, and held my attention throughout. The story flowed well from beginning to end, no crazy choppiness here. The ending left me super-satisfied with a big smile on my face. Couldn't have asked for more! Two-thumbs up for this one! I loved this book. Take Me I’m Yours was a steamy and emotional read that was a lot of fun. Gideon and Sydney were a perfect match despite their age difference. Their attraction was instantaneous, but the bond that they developed was deep and everlasting.

I loved both of these characters. Their interactions were full of heart and flirty banter and the chemistry between them was off the charts. Both were passionate about each other and the things they cared deeply about. Despite the many obstacles in their way, they were able to strengthen the feelings between them and stay true to themselves. I loved their journey and how they handled every issue that was thrown at them. Take Me I’m Yours was an fun insta-love read that with great, well-developed characters that will have you rooting for their HEA.

After a very hot night together, Gideon and Sydney go their separate ways. Although they had a great time together, they don't have room for more at this point in their lives. All is fine until they unexpectedly see each other at an event. Gideon has now been placed in the forbidden category. Yeah, that's going to make him less attractive, right? Still not having time for a relationship, they decide a no-strings fling works for them. Until it doesn't.

You had me at steamy age-gap and praise kink. I loved everything about this story. Gideon and Sydney were made for one another. I enjoyed seeing their journey from meeting and how they navigated everything. The unexpected twists. And there's a book club in this book. Always a great idea to add a book club.

Lili Valente and Ryan West did a great job narrating this beautiful story.

Started strong. I liked the chemistry between the characters. I like how strong and independent Sydney is. I was intrigued to find out what the challenge was for their relationship, what brought them back together. And then…60% of the way through the story stalled. The challenges/plot lines didn’t feel established enough. I wanted more depth and character development.

It was one thing to have Gideon be Adrian’s father but then you throw in the conniving ex and it was kind of a half ass attempt. There is no third act break up, which is nice but the “conflict” was weak.

I honestly thought this book was about 50 pages too long. I skipped/skimmed the last spicy scene.

This was a fine read, if only a bit too long. I’m not sure I’m going to read the next book because I fear it’ll be a repeat of this book - age gap, daddy issues, good girl/control kink with a subpar plot.

Holy smokes what a story! Sydney is 24 and Gideon is 39. They had some major chemistry for their one night together! But, they both agreed it was a one-time deal. However, neither can get that one night together out of their mind!

Sydney is here just for the summer, but what a whirlwind summer she has! She attends a function and her ex talked her into being his plus one, but as usual, he's being a juvenile jerk. Gideon walks into this function and spots Sydney with his son's arm around her (aka Sydney's ex). Oh, boy this is where the story gets very interesting and impossible to put down my kindle!

Such a great story! I loved the characters! From Chapter 11 on, this story had me captivated and my mouth wide open, laughing and saying "OH NO".

3.5 stars. This book was okay for me. I was thrown off in the first chapter when Sydney mentions that her closest friends have no idea who she really is - heir to a fortune and about to take over the running of a global billion dollar company. I thought that was disingenuous, and wondered if she had ever been her true self with anyone. She even continues to hide her identity with Gideon until he finds out incidentally. I guess I’m just used to reading books with strong female leads who are confident enough to be themselves. I really liked Gideon, but the reasoning behind why they couldn’t be together seemed blown out of proportion. And the camera thing?? Ridiculous.

This is one of my top favorites from Lili! The passion, their connection, the steam. I loved everything about Sydney and Gideon's whirlwind romance!

Everything about how these two get together was perfect. They go from a chance encounter to an everlasting love. Gideon treats her like a queen, worships her, and believes in her. Sydney puts him first and gives him the chance at love and family that he has always wanted. I love how they navigate through the obstacles in their way. They never stray from one another's side. Beautiful! Love, love, love them!

Loved this book!!

I loved this story of Gideon and Sydney!! When they met, they didn’t realize their connection. Their attraction was instantaneous. They shared one hot night with no promise of another. They returned to their normal life, thinking that they never see each other again until one night at a fundraiser, they realize the truth. I love these two together!! They really are perfect for each other. I love this book and can’t wait to read more on the book club girls I highly recommend this book. I literally could not put it down.

Surprisingly Good

I’ve only read one other book by Valente and it was a pleasant read, but nothing out of the ordinary. I had nothing I wanted to read and decided on this after the blurb just expecting a quick pleasant time filler. It surprised me. It’s really good. The characters are super engaging and you definitely root for both of them, which I find somewhat rare in these mostly genetic trope heavy genre romances with one usually making low key stupid decisions or having ridiculous attitude to keep the plot going. I’m going to have to look at the rest of her work now.

Contemporary romance from Lili Valente, so steamy you'll sweat your make up off! ;)

This is a steamy, insta-attraction, maybe insta-love? novel. There are puppies, best friends, surprises from the past, no real black moment, a super smart heroine, a super smart, respectful hero, and a great happy ending!

While this is different from Lili's romcoms, it's 100% a Lili Valente-style novel with all the heat and intelligence!

Lily Valente's latest triumph, "Take Me I'm Yours," beautifully narrates the love saga between Gideon and Sydney. Despite their age gap, their souls instantly connect upon their first encounter. Though initially agreeing to just one night together, it becomes apparent upon their reunion that their connection transcends such limitations.

Having devoured all of Lily Valente's novels, each offering its own unique charm, I must admit that Sydney and Gideon's tale lingers in my thoughts long after the final page. "Take Me I'm Yours" is a captivating and enchanting romance that held me spellbound from start to finish. It undoubtedly earns five stars, but if possible, I'd gladly award it even more.

I don’t always love this type of age gap romance, but my this was so sweet (and spicy don’t worry) that I just love Sydney and Gideon. Their meet cute, their chemistry, and everything was just perfect! I couldn’t stop reading and just wanted to know how Adrian, Gideon’s son and Syndey’s ex, would find out. And that scene is wild but added to the drama.

The whole story was well paced out, I enjoyed all the characters and loved the different personalities which was a lot of fun!

Amazing story, must read

This is an unusual book these days. Gideon and Sydney have their lives in order when they meet, but their chemistry is off the charts. While there are some issues I didn't miss women who thought they were invincible but had vulnerabilities. Very little angst, lots of love, intelligence, care for others, and drive to achieve the best for anyone who would be impacted by their lives. Very well done Ms Lili. Keep up the good work

The book was quite interesting. Although I had a hard time getting through all the drama with Adrian, his father, and Sydney. Gideon is portrayed a bit too much like an angel. Adrian, on the other hand, is a terrible child. I feel like some moments were left out, while others were overly drawn. Adrian's 180-degree transformation was quite unnatural. He suddenly accepted both his father and his relationship with his ex-girlfriend. It was far-fetched and hardly believable.

I probably won't read it again.

Sydney & Gideon...sighhhhhhh
I mean what can I say about them? They were hot and heavy very fast. They had a hiccup so to speak. I mean it was a very big hiccup to over come. But these two were straight fire that totally knew how to ignite when needed. I love how Lili can pull you into a story.

I liked several things about this book.

The story had a great start pulling the reader in - I always appreciate that. A strong female character even though she was inexperienced, she knew what she wanted and communicated it well. I really liked how both characters didn’t beat around the bush getting to the heart of a problem or facing it head on.

Bottom line good, not great.

Lovely Butterfly

Such a beautiful story. Characters were well liked and passionate about each other. Couldn’t put the book down. Glad for the HEA. It was well deserved for these two. An old soul and mature man, who lost out on the good parts of a young relationship. Glad he found his butterfly 🦋.
Thanks for the escape.🩷
