He's checking his list, checking it twice. Which agent's fate will be sealed tonight?

That ending though!!!!

Best one in the series so far. The entire team is in danger and the story does not slow down while they take hit after hit. The team is racing to solve the case, but between kidnapped and injured members they are struggling. Each member is shown in their own light and I really liked Mia and for the first time Danae. Leo was not as present it felt, and the relationship angle still irritated me, but with the ending I am conflicted. Vance just annoyed me. Jacinda is an all star and honestly impresses me in every story, this one especially. I couldn’t put the book down and I am so ready for the next book because there are three life’s on the line right now, and, regardless of that outcome I think Emma has some explaining to do to Leo and Jacinda!

This one had me on the edge of my seat. I couldn’t put it down! I’ll tell you one thing, I don’t want to wait until September to read what happens next! Even though this “villain” isn’t my favorite of the series, I felt the most anxiety and anticipation reading this book than I have with the others. The ending has me going crazy! I’m impatiently awaiting the next book!

This continues the series featuring Emma Last, the ghost-seeing FBI agent, and her team. This time, an assassin is picking off FBI agents with the intent of murdering their entire team. The ending was a very satisfying cliffhanger.

This is the 9th book in this series and I love them because they are Kindle Unlimited, quick and easy reads, and perfect for fans of Criminal Minds which is one of my favorite shows I always go back to. These are not the greatest books by any means but it’s such a comfort series for me at this point that I can’t not pick up the new ones as they are released.

This was an interesting one in that it was much more of a continuation of the previous book and the team was targeted directly which made it more emotional as a reader. Emma is such a badass especially in the interrogation scene and it has been good to see her getting back to herself after grieving Oren’s death and I feel like she showed some serious character development by becoming the rock while the whole team dealt with Mia’s abduction. The explosion scene was so intense and while this one took me a bit longer to get into once that scene took place I was on the edge of my seat.

Death Stalks the FBI

Special Agent Emma Last and the Violent Crimes Unit is on high alert after a young FBI agent is killed. Someone is stalking the Agents and threatening to kill them all. Along with the young FBI Agent a cop is also killed. The team will need to watch their step with this case. Who is stalking and killing the agents and cops? How many and who will die before the person is caught?

Last Resort has everything you could want in a book. It has action, drama, grief, suspense and is an emotional roller coaster ride. Personally, my emotions were all over the place and the ending left me in tears. I highly recommend the Emma Last series. You can read them in any order but it would be better to read in order to get the know the characters and backgrounds.

New FBI Agent Valerie Lundgren from Cyber-Security Division expects to become engaged tonight at dinner, so she stops at a local liquor store to pick up a bottle of “bubbly” for the celebration. Later that night she is discovered dead in her car where she bought the bottle.
Emma and her team are working the crime scene and Emma strikes up a conversation with a PD officer who is set to retire at the end of this shift.
The story has lots of turns you won’t see coming, making it another read straight thru story.

Another great ARC from Mary Stone and co author. Emma and the team are trying to get over their last case involving gangs in DC. Now a mysterious voice has called and said he is coming for the whole unit. As they try to come to terms with this, they get the call that an FBI agent has been found dead and her computer has been used to access information on the whole unit. As the team investigates all that is going on they realize that they are one step behind this mysterious individual. Will they find this person before others, including themselves, die?

You sit down to read this book and you will not get up till you finish! And that’s the truth about this intense very personal thriller. The villain is so gone beyond reasoning. He wants to destroy the FBI and it looks he will succeed. The Other is not helping Emma at all, just the opposite . This is another winner among the latest books Mary wrote. Get ready you may not come out with bruises at the end, but def. with the sweat spots and wanting more.

FBI agents Emma, Jacinda, Danae and Mia along with Leo and Vance at at a loss. Where can they find the answers and how fast. With Agents and Police men being murdered, they are all in a quandary trying to find answers.
I have enjoyed the Emma Last FBI agent. To see how they all work together trying to solve this case before more people are murdered.
If you love Murder, Mysteries and Solving them before the Agents solve this, you will enjoy this book.

The wolf is howling louder than before. Tracking down the person who has murdered a FBI agent and just retired policeman plus threatened the rest of the team is crucial especially as one of their own is kidnapped. Can the locate and take them down without any more deaths? Or, I’ll there be more lives lost?

In Last Resort Mary Stone has crafted a chilling story with nail biting action. From the get go this book promises heart stopping action! Her writing talent creates the most frightening villains. The terror they bring into being makes this story and others unputdownable. This Emma Last book is a must read for mystery thrill seekers.

Emma is still plagued by the Others, but sometimes in a good way with help on cases. Her team is being hunted by a cop killer & they seem to be the main victims. When one of their own is kidnapped, they have to put all their skills together to find one of their own. What an exciting book that will not disappoint!

It's time to reveal

Emma Last is a most unusual FBI agent. Did they get to Mia in time to counteract the crystal clear? Does Denae come back? How does Emma explain her ability to see into the Other to her team, especially Leo? Only Mary Stone knows the answer to those questions. Hopefully, those questions are answered in the next installment. Looking forward to Book 10.

FBI Agents

The FBI team became a target for an individual who wanted to take over the selling of Crystal clear meth and eliminate the government. One could hardly keep of reading the story to figure out what was going to happen to the team. At the end of the book one still didn't know about what was happening as three agents were attacked but do they survive?

I could not put it down!

This is an intense read. A lot of action, many surprises and quite a believable yarn. The only downside is the team: there would never be only one team on a case like this. In spite of that, this story continues to entertain and get the reader to think about our world today.

A little far- fleched for me

Perhaps if I had read the 8 books before this one I would like it but having just started reading Stones work I am finding FBI Agents who see and talk to ghosts a bit too far off for me to fathom! I am going to find book 1 in this series and see if it becomes more enjoyable.... I do not give up easily.

Another winner from Mary Stone. This book grips you from the first chapter and doesn't let go until the last chapter. A real page turner with a shocking end. Cannot wait until the next book in the series. I am an ARC member and this is my honest review.

One of the newest recruits has been killed, and now it seems that someone is out for the team. Emma keeps searching for a ghost to help her figure who is doing this and why. The threat is serious.

This part of a wonderful series reminds me why marathon reads are so great! As a full story keeps you enthralled as if you’re there, glimpses of what’s past & future keep you ready for others. Go for it!
