As an apocalyptic book junkie, I really, really liked Pets. It can and has been described as Cormac McCarthy's "The Road" meets Zombieland. I thought it was funny, original and well-written. The story line has a really smooth, natural progression and I was never lost or bored. I gave it four starts instead of five because the charters were a little generic, but they worked really well within the story. Great read!
