So many questions that need answers, but one of the utmost importance is now that Wesley's secrets are emerging to the surface, will Fifty and Wesley's newfound relationship withstand the aftermath?
Thankfully this series is complete or I’d be hot as fish grease. Book 2 was explosive, honey I mean every time I was given a moment of solace, Ms. Durst dropped another bomb. The character list moves fast baby, keep up!
-Amil Jr., so thoughtful and calculating in his last days. 🥹 -Ireland, a freaking idiot - there’s always one dummy in the family who’ll bring bad decisions. -I like Villian 🤣 we needed some humor in all this craziness. Some editing/inconsistencies here and there, but nothing too terrible. 4.5* 🤎
And hurricanes are rolling through too! That’s how bad everything is for fifty. He can’t catch a break! He’s the modern day Job! I feel so bad for him and the drama ain’t letting up! That cliffhanger was jaw dropping.
Sassy just dumb Smfh 🤦🏾♀️ I really hope she meet the consequences of her actions! Dirty literally told what to do and she listened to a fool and now she exposing her family to some more bs smh 😑 I don’t like sassy at all lol 😂
This was too much, idk I just feel like with everything they had already been through in part 1;part 2 should’ve been an easier read. Healing should have been well on the way. But it just added to the devastation of part 1. So I didn’t finish this one. Dirty should’ve never been killed off 🙄🙄 like come on. Then on top of that Wesley still was holding secrets bout whatever the reasons were that she didn’t want to speak with her mother. I think I will read just enough to get those answers. But I initially just skipped all the way to the end to write this review. I read what happened to dirty and that’s it.
This story hurt my soul with how it played out! It was definitely a page-turner and after coming to the end, I'm in need of comfort from some puppies and cute babies, cuz that was heart-wrenching! We're due for a happily ever after now, so here's hoping the author comes through! I picked up this series because I wanted to switch things up with my reading, and it definitely delivered!
I’ve decided to DNF this book at 77%. There were trigger warnings and while the things mentioned are not trigger for me, the sexual abuse just was a bit much. Multiple instances and with different characters. The first book mentioned it a little but it was a “flashback.” I tried to finished but once I got to the part about Sir and thats who held Jacob and Wesley all those years. The trauma was just excessive in my opinion. I was not intrigued enough to just “finish so I can see what happened.”
Why did you do me like this??? The development of the characters throughout each installment has been so thorough. The author really takes her time to peel back the layers of each person. My jaw has dropped several times the more the pieces of the puzzle are revealed. I can't wait to read the finale!
I just can’t believe what I just read. Thst amelia sassy brought all this on herself. I can’t believe she was so green. I’m so happy for Wesley her n Fifty gotta get it together . Damn Dirty
Why talk so dirty like that? I’m so sick of Amelia with her sick entitled behind self. I’m just about done with Sassy hormonal behind too. Ugh. Other than that I’m loving the series. On to book 3
Omg! This book is getting crazier by the chapter. WTF is going on?! I cannot believe this is happening! Please let it be one of those chapters where it’s really a dream and not reality! Not Dirty! Smh!
The way this book just hurt my feelings. We were riding on such a high to just get dropped like this. Oh my goodness it’s so good but i would be lying if i didn’t say my heart just broke 😭
Why would you do Sassy like this? She’s pregnant for goodness sake! My heart is racing, head hurt, nerves bad and I need a drink! Then poor Fifty can’t catch a dang on break. Lawd help!
OK we didn’t take a single break this book😅 I mean we jumped straight to it and never stopped I’m grabbing part three now🤣 My only drawbacks with this was Sassy and her foolishness, I really was getting irked by her, but I don’t know we’ll see what happens next😬
There was definitely a lot to unpack in the second part of this series. One thing that irked me to the highest mountain tops of irk-age was Sassy and naiveté. For her to think she knows everything and is so smart...she is completely clueless! And she is the reason what happened at the end of this particular book happened...I said what I said and no one can change my mind.
For her to act surprised that she and Dirty started having problems when she disregarded the dynamic of their relationship was wild. It just went to show how spoiled and selfish she was. Someone that she barely even knows (doesn't matter if they are so-called family) comes in and starts causing issues within your her home and she expects Dirty to just sit back and be cool with it. They had a conversation together as two people in a relationship who are building a family. They assessed the situation. They agreed upon a certain outcome together. And she just said "f* the plan" and let this stranger talk her into doing something else.
And Amelia was absolutely grimy. I knew from the first introduction of her that she was up to no good. She was also selfish and only looking out for herself. She chose to believe that everyone else was the problem...not her and her addiction.
Again, it was another good cliffhanger and I had to immediately start into book 3.
Book 2 - Fifty is accused of murder after a freak accident of his former stepdaughter. During the process Wesley comes to his aid and this sets a firestorm of events that reveals her hidden secret past. As the couple try to recover from one major issue, another one pops up, testing them and questioning if they should be together.
