This is a great summary of Church history through the Reformation. It is succinct and well-written, providing a birds-eye view of Church history. A good read for anyone trying to gain an initial understanding of the Traditions developed by the Church over time.
This was meant to be my textbook for my Ecclesiology class, but I accidentally ordered the wrong one. It was a blessing though, as I didn't care for that class subject, but loved this book. It provided a simple and short overview of Christianity beginning with the first disciples, walking through the church's role in world history, and ending with Vatican II.
