This was a short, hot, and quick read. I don't really read shifter romances; I'm a contemporary girlie most of the time, but I'm intrigued by this.
And I really had fun with it, it was good. Also, the dirty talk and a bit of degradation work for me. I liked the chemistry between the MCs, and although the whole novella happened within two days, I still enjoyed the story. I loved the epilogue, too. So if readers want to pass some time, they could read this. 😊

I went to this book with an open mind, and even that didn't prepare me for the lack of plot, writing skill, and character depth.
Be ready to read the cringiest dirty talk of your life. Be ready for no explanation to the plot. It just drops from the sky, with no context.
The female lead is called the Queen of dirty talk, but I see that nowhere, even after her encounter with Oliver. Layla, as a character, has no personality. She is just horny. Oliver, as a character, has no personality. He is just horny and a caveman.
I do not recommend it, even just for the smut because it's crap also. The scenes aren't developed, and the intensity is average.

I hope that Olivia T Turner will continue writing shifter stories, and I love that she respects the fated mate trope, that our lovebirds are only ever with each other and no one else! I love that, we need more of that! I am also hoping Olivia writes more dual virgin romances in future, she writes them so well! This left me so happy and I wish you all HAPPY READING!!

Wow!! I was not anticipating being as in to an 89 page novella as I was, but damn, it was good! I enjoyed pretty much everything about the book. I like the lead up of each character's back story, their meet cute, instant chemistry, delicious dirty talk with amazing sex scenes, how supportive he is of her and enjoys all of her curves, and the extended view into the future in the epilogue. It was short and sweet, very to the point, and an easy to read book that kept me engaged the entire time.
I recommend reading this one if you need something short to read and I will definitely be checking out all the other books that are in this series!

Layla is an erotica author. She is sitting at her book signing and no one has showed up, she is so embarrassed. Layla is a virgin and she has no real life experience with men but she writes erotica like she has lived it. When the bookstore closed she asked if they wanted her to take her table down and bring it back tomorrow since her book signing was two days. The weather outside is terrible and Layla lives two hours away. Layla starts driving home and she can barely see. She is listening to one of her audiobooks when a crash of lightning struck a tree and it landed on her car. Oliver is a grizzly bear shifter. He is playing a game with his brothers Michael and Leo along with Leo’s mate Tara. The storm outside is getting worse and Oliver’s bear is getting really antsy. Oliver’s grizzly bear is terrified of thunder and lightning, he always has been but it is worse than before. Leo kicks Oliver out of his cabin before the grizzly destroys the cabin. Layla is in shock because of the storm and the tree, she is just sitting in her car until she smells smoke then she jumps out and immediately gets soaked. Layla hears something in the forest and then she sees a grizzly bear walking towards her. The bear stops and just stares at her and then he starts to shake and shimmer and then there is a naked man standing there. Oliver starts walking over to the woman standing in the road with her dress plastered to her body from the rain. Oliver knows that this woman is his mate. Oliver kisses Layla and she feels an attraction to him for the very first time. Layla’s car is on fire and Oliver goes over to put it out, when he opens the door he hears the erotica audiobook Layla was listening to. Oliver asks Layla if she likes dirty talk and she says yes. After Layla tells Oliver that she is a virgin he informs her that he is too. Oliver carries Layla to his cabin where they shower and then they have sex. Tara gets new clothes for Layla so she isn’t wearing the same clothes from yesterday. Will Layla get people in to the book signing? Will Layla sell all three hundred books? Will Layla move in with Oliver? Will Oliver impregnate Layla? Will Oliver’s grizzly finally be able to handle thunder and lightning? Will Oliver and Layla find love and happiness together as mates?

She then moves in and 12 years later she is still an author and now a mother of 3 kids and still madly and madly love with her mate. It’s so sad that when his mother died, his father sacrificed himself because he couldn’t bear it. It’s very confusing but also very sad.

She’s done it again! Ms. Turner can write some of the SEXIEST shifters I’ve ever read and this one was no exception.
I’m not gonna rehash the book, there are plenty of other reviewers out there that can recap it better than I can so I’m just gonna talk about some of my favorite parts.
First off, I think there’s just something so hot about a great big grizzly shifter with an irrational fear like Oliver’s bear suffered from for Oliver then to be so commanding and dominant and Layla ate. That. UP!! And for him to apparently be so new to dirty talk, he WAY more than excelled at it! He was hot, Hot, HOT!
Secondly, Layla, the FMC and an erotica author, was considered to be the queen of dirty talk in her books but, when confronted with someone as gorgeous as Oliver, she became a little timid and I loved it, I thought it made it that much hotter when Oliver made her say what she wanted.
Anyway, enough of my rambling, I think this book is awesome, for readers who love shifter romances or, if you’re just thinking about dipping your toes in, I recommend you start right here, you’ll be so glad you did. 5 STARS!!!
Just as a side note, if Oliver ISN’T the king of dirty talk, I’d LOVE to read a book about Tyson (the book was dedicated to him as the REAL king of dirty talk. I get the biggest kick out of reading the dedications, I never miss one, they’re hilarious.)!!!.

Oh my gosh, these characters were fabulous! Poor Oliver, having to contend with a bear that was terrified of thunderstorms. I could practically see him trying to control the enraged animal trying to break free, then rampaging through the forest. Awh. I get his family's reaction, but still, kinds cold to me. He was such an awesome person: encouraging, protective, caring, loving, nurturing, he truly deserved someone that would complete him.
Layla, for her part, was having rotten luck in life at the moment. While she was successful in authoring erotic books, the other aspects of life were stagnant, stale and listless. Something needed to give. That did not include getting Stranded in a thunderstorm on a muddy mountain road. Or did it?
These two were so hot together! Oliver completely came to life when Layla entered the picture. He was charming, funny, and oh so dirty!! You need to check this out. In typical OTT fashion, she won't let you down. Let your imagination run wild!

An author who writes erotica thinks she’s lost her mojo after no one shows up for her latest book signing. Then gets caught in a rain storm, a tree falls on her car, and a bear shifter whose bear is scared of thunder finds her, AND just happens to be her mate.
OMG, this book had me laughing so hard after bear shifter Oliver finds Layla, and she has one of her hot audio books still playing in the car which he gets an earful of when getting in it.
They are the perfect match, and this being a short read it didn’t take long for that dirty talking to start as did the spice! A cold shower may be necessary after their encounters.
Great story, loved the writing, characters, and the very perfect HEA.
Definitely looking forward to his brothers story next.

This book is a part of the Marooned for a Night series and focuses on Oliver and Layla. Layla is a romance author who has had a decline in book sales and is struggling to pull in the readers for her two day book signing. After the first day of the book signing, she is headed home in an awful storm when she gets rerouted through the mountains and ends up getting stranded and rescued by Oliver. As soon as Oliver sees Layla, he immediately knows that he’s found his mate and is determined to claim his woman. Oliver and Layla were great together and brought out the best in each other. I loved how supportive Oliver was with Layla’s career and how he was her biggest cheerleader. This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

If you like stories where dirty talk is going on, then you've come to the right place with this book, because man, man, what dirty talk. Layla is a writer of true books in which there is a lot of dirty talk, but at the moment things aren't working out and she decides to take a break from it all. During a car breakdown in an oncoming storm and no coverage, she finds a savior in the form of a grizzly bear who, to her surprise, later turns into a man. Oliver or his bear found her even though he hates storms. Both know from that moment on that they are meant for each other and he does his best, once he knows what she is combing with, to help her write a new book with delicious dirty talk. . Great story short and sweet and very steamy.

Depressed by the lack of sales at her book signing event, Layla leaves the bookstore to drive home in the rain. Not too far away, Oliver is having a hard time containing his grizzly while the same thunderstorm is hammering his brother’s cabin. He leaves the cabin to avoid his grizzly destroying it. What are the chances that he encounters Layla on the road? Really good! 😝
Read how an author of erotica finds a guy who can inspire her by naughty talk of his own. Readers who like things a lot spicy 🌶️ will enjoy this short story about the perfect mates. Hey, is this a glimpse of what Turner’s life is like? Maybe 🤔? Whatever the case, the story is fast paced, a page turner, thoroughly hot ❤️🔥, and extremely enjoyable.

I loved Stranded With A Dirty-Talking Shifter Marooned For A Night. Oliver’s best hates storms, it goes crazy. Layla is stranded in a storm and stuck without cell service. She’s surprised by a big grizzly bear who turns into a human. The second she meets Oliver her body knows she’s his. Oliver has waited his whole life for his fated mate. When he finds out about her career he’s more than happy to help her with material. But what happens when she can leave the mountain? Will she still choose Oliver? A short and sweet story, and I loved the characters. I would definitely recommend this book.

Olivia! You wrecked me. Oliver was so ah-mazing! This was beyond perfect. The sizzling chemistry between these two was coming off the pages. Tablet on fire level. I loved them both and especially together. I have to say this is my favorite of all of Olivia's shifter books. They are all awesome, but this one takes the cake. He was super growly, possessive, obsessed, completely smitten with his mate. Oh, and quite a good dirty talker. Way beyond good. 🤣 Layla was great too. She was sweet and smart. She wasn't afraid to follow her instincts when it came to Oliver. Dual v-cards. HEA. Perfect.
