Where Do You Draw the Line?

The argument over Immigration seems hard and fast. The Country where people are trying to immigrate has the right to decide who is allowed passage. In Portal to Xibalbá: Book Two, you'll have the opportunity to decide for yourself if that Immigration rule is truly unbending.

Book Two explores the issues of extraterrestrial communication in many surprising and creative ways. The authors weave a heart-rending mix of family relationships into the story, bringing a touching reality to life.
The world-building of Xibalbá is hard science fiction at its best, complete with details from Space to the deepest Sea.

My favorite part of both of the Portal to Xibalbá books is the depth of each character. At some point in the first book, I stopped being a reader and became one of the adventurers. I found myself crying with them, being frantically nervous, and finally resolving with them. I hated it when the book ended. That's talented writing—another highly deserving 5-star rating.

A return to Xibalba has unexpected consequences

Tyler is still infected with the worms and they are giving him premonitions of bad things coming to Xibalba. Meanwhile Diego finds out more about the disappearance of his mother and sets out to find her or at least learn more about what ultimately happened to her...
Someone is spying on the team...why and who do they work for?

This book is an entertaining and fun read but is lacking the peril of the first book (perhaps due to the been there already done that aspect of it). Nevertheless, the events do lead to more questions than answers (though we do find out the mum's fate and who is spying on them) and I look forward to the next installment to see what happens next.

fascinating

I’m going straight to the next installment. I love the plot now and the characters. I’ve read other books by Mr Rey and enjoyed them.
