Dreams come and go but their impressions Last forever. So I had no choice but to set down these words. No titles, no conformity. Just the feelings left by those very dreams.
Hello everyone. If you haven't guessed by now I have a passion for words and have numerous books published in a variety of genres and lengths, in addition to short story anthologies with other authors in the Mind's Eye Series.
Several of my stories are also included within several box sets with Paper Gold Publishing.
I cannot ignore my dreams, so many of them, with names and places and ideas that spark my imagination and compel me to write; to create stories, whether fantasy or horror, or mystery or psychological thriller or murder or even humour and adventure. So, my garden is sown, flourishing, with all manner of growth, and still the dreams come.
Julie Elizabeth Powell, my soul lingering within my imagination; maybe you’ll join me?
I really enjoyed this collection of short stories and poems.
The first short story is fascinating: what do characters in novels feel like? Read the story and you'll find out. It's a fun and imaginative tale.
Further in the collection you'll find a story about a crime writer who gets himself into trouble while researching his novel. Then there's a story about a bestselling writer who's murdered, but the mystery lies in who did it. The answer may not be what you think.
The final short story in the collection is a poignant reflection on the state of our world today.
I found a couple of the poems to be deeply moving.
This is a collection well worth reading.
I'm a big fan of this author's work. She consistently produces quality fiction.
A wonderful collection of beautifully written poetry and a few short stories, written from the creative mind and thought provoking soul of Julie Elizabeth Powell.
Each poem is heart felt and unique as the words flow off the pages. The short stories were original as well. Two about writers, one becoming a victim. And the Authors thoughts on what writers face (today) in getting their stories told and noticed and sold.
Once again, I do not do spoilers so I won't say much more. A good read for book lovers of all genres.
