Although this book had a few typos and grammar mistakes, I felt that it was pretty decent. It gave the reader an overview of Russia. There was something that I found pretty ironic though. This book was published in 2005, so it is a tad old. On page 45, it had a picture of their leader, captioned "the charismatic Vladimir Putin was reelected to a second and final term as president in March 2004". This surprised me. First off, I've never heard Vladimir described as charismatic. But, more importantly, it's 2014; shouldn't he be out of office by now? But of course, he's still there. So I did some research. Some rules were changed (obviously). And now Ukraine. I don't know; it just seems very fishy. But it made this book very interesting. The calm before the storm almost. Hopefully there won't be a storm.
