I listened to the audible version. Great narration! I love a story that transports me into the “action”. I enjoyed the characters, how they were developed, and how they interacted. The small town vibe was charming and spot on. It’s a love story, a mystery, and a heartache all rolled in to one. I usually don’t like stories that go back and forth in time but this was well done and worked for me once I got into the rhythm. Five-star books don’t come along that often. The last one for me was probably a year or so ago. This book is special!
condensed versions all good reads, nothing spectacular Safe Haven is a typical Nicholas Sparks romance mystery The Sentry is a Joe Pike mystery (McGuiver type character) An Irish Country Courtship was a charming read about a GP doctor named Doctor O'Reilly in the Irish village of Ballybucklebo. The Provence Cure for the Brokenhearted was a romance about a young widow who takes her son to the family home in Provence France and falls in love again.
Safe Haven - 4 stars - very good story Sentry - 4 stars - love the Pike series Irish Country Courtship - 3 stars - The first two were better Provence Cure For The Brokenhearted - 5 stars - LOVED IT!
I enjoyed reading Safe Haven despite it being slightly predictable. Until the end. I was not really satisfied with the end. Which is to say really, that I was disappointed with Jo and who she turned out to be. I think the story would have been just as good, maybe better, without Jo. She
