The book 101 Facts...Bears! has many facts that are unknown to many people and include pictures to understand them. Below is a review for the book: The book 101 Facts...Bears! is one of the most interesting book I ever read. It includes images of different kinds of bears doing different things. Also, if you read it on your Kindle there are links to videos of the type of bear on the picture. There are many interesting facts. For instance, did you know that there was a type of bear called a sloth bear, which is the only bear that carries their young on their back. They also have an extremely shaggy coat. You probably think that all bears are taller or bigger than an average human being, but that is not true. The smallest bear in the world is a male sun bear, which is 4 feet. However, they have an extremely long tongue that is 20-25 centimeters long. Bears are going extinct because some parts of their body are used in Asian medicines. Their fur is also used in making carpets or rugs. This book has a slight implication that bears are being used for the wrong purpose. They are wonderful creatures that may have some harm, but can be taught to not hurt humans. I would give this book 4 out of 5 stars because it gives a lot of knowledge about different kind of bears and how their lifestyle is. It also includes many pictures that show a visual of how the type of bear that is stated looks like. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes bears (of course) and anyone who wants to read a book with interesting facts that are not that much to many people.
A very nice book with interesting facts. This is a book I should have had when I went to school and had to do some write-up on South American animals and the teacher said there are no bears in South America and I could not prove her wrong with the books I had.
Great way for kids to learn about bears. Colorful pictures make it engaging. There are fun and interesting facts for all kind of bears. Little animal enthusiasts will surely enjoy them.
Did you know that not all bears hibernate? Did you know that Koala Bears are not bears at all? These and many other facts are well presented (and hints are given on how to say the long official names of bears) plus photos you can double touch to enlarge AND great videos to watch (at least on Kindle Fire.
IP Factly has done it again! With lots of pictures and information, you will learn about all types of bears, what they eat, where they live, etc. Despite the fact that in this book there some talk of evolution, which IP Factly does have sometimes, it was a great book and I would recommend it.
This book contains lots of information about bears. It discusses the types of bears, where they live, what they eat, how they behave, interaction with humans, and myths associated with bears. The author has a series of books with this 101 Facts format and offers a free book at the end of this kindle read.
Reviewers have reported problems with the layout and some of the links contained within the text. There is a reference list of pages and videos, all of which are supposed to be clickable. All in all, it reads like a reference book containing a list of facts. Children may enjoy the photos but there is way too much information with little organization. The overall impression is that of opening a Wikipedia page.
I would recommend the book as a starting point for an older child doing a research article about bears. Young children will soon lose interest in it.
An eye-opener on BEARS! This book is just amazing, the pictures are astounding the videos amazing and there is much to absorb about bears! Amazing how they live, what they eat – response to humans! We saw the brown bears a long time ago in Yellowstone National Park, see them at our local zoo just never thought a whole lot about them. A very educational experience. The videos in this book were a big help in learning about the various bears! I never knew they had been around as long as they have and or what other animals they are related to. Truly entertaining, educational and fun to read!
My children love these little books. They thoroughly enjoy each and every story, as if they are all unique and individual without any cause for similarity among them. Even though sometimes, they might seem tedious and repetitive to me as a parent, I do enjoy being able to read short-stories to my children that are clean and respective.
Author freebie. Suitable for all ages. A brief oversight of bears and bear like creatures like a koala. I would think that more bears would be classified as herbivores, not carnivores.
This book is excellent for school research projects, or if someone just wants to learn more about bears. There were many facts I had no clue about and I learned a ton reading this book. Highly recommend for the curious mind.
I never knew that there were so many different types of bears in the world. I especially liked the photos of each variety. I would really like to see them in person! Thank you for a fun and informative book.
A book filled with some interesting facts and photos. It was easy to read making it accessible for younger readers. I learned some new facts as well. I think it is worth reading.
