Buy one book and get a bonus - 2 stories!! I love K-9 stories and these do not disappoint! This is part of the Mountain K-9 Unit series but both are stand alone reads. Both stories have great characters, lots of action and suspense, and stories that keep you reading until the very end!! Plus the K-9s are important members of the team and have their own personalities. In Perilous Christmas Pursuit, the K-9 Bogi is the one in danger and needs protection from a major cartel who wants to end his career. In Lethal Holiday Hideout, the main characters are actually a little older than most books feature but, to me, that makes them more interesting. There is a lot of history between Sully and Cara but they have to put that behind them to stay ahead of the mob. I also like that even though Deacon (Sully's K-9) is well trained, Cara is trying to see if Mocha can make it through K-9 training. There is something so interesting in the parallel between the human and K-9 stories. I received an advance copy from the author but all opinions are my own.
Leonora Worth and Katy Lee teamed up to deliver an outstanding end to the series. Perilous Christmas Pursuit commences with shots fired and throws IT specialist Isla Jemenez with Michael Tanner, a special undercover operative, together to discover who is out to get them and why. Action and danger are the plot pushers with romance as a side. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Katy Lee's Lethal Holiday Hideout pairs FBI SAIC and Boss of D.C.s Task Force with U.S. Marchall Sullivan Briggs to stop a Cartel Lord from carrying out his murderous plans. Tension peaks between our protagonists due to their past relationship and muddies the stream of their attraction. I was particularly intrigued by this 50+ year old couple. Is love too late for them? The curious will have to read this novelette to find out! I heartily recommend these stories.
Excellent conclusion to this series. I thoroughly enjoyed these final 2 stories.

Both stories are a fantastic ending to the Mountain Country K9 series. First up you get to see Isla Jimenez find love. After this whole series and her trying to adopt Enzo, you knew she just needed a man, and when she has to help Vet Michael Tanner protect an elite K9 military veteran Bogi sparks are flying as fast as the bullets. Next up us Cara Haines whose sister has been compromised in WITSEC. She is forced into close proximity to her ex Sully Briggs and has to get over her past hurts to be able to survive and fall in love. If you've been following this series as closely as I have, you wil be delighted at this conclusion. Grab your copy today.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading these 2 stories as both contain suspense, danger, and intrigue. In Perilous Christmas Pursuit, bad guys are targeting Bogi, a K-9, who is danger. This story includes Michael having secrets from his past. Lethal Holiday Hideout focuses on an older couple in their early 50's. Cara and Scully have a history. Readers will learn more about Cara's backstory and how she has trust issues and has a hard time letting go and not being in control. Cara also is trying to train Mocha to see if Mocha will pass being a K-9. Will Mocha pass? Will Cara and Scully have their HEA?
Both novellas were great suspense stories with amazing K-9s in the Mountain Country K-9 Unit series. In “Perilous Christmas Pursuit” there was so much stress, trying to determine who was after Michael and Isla while fighting to stay alive and keep Isla’s family safe. “Lethal Holiday Hideout” was about keeping a sister safe and alive that was in witness protection. I particularly liked this story because Cara and Sully are in their 50s, still actively working, and still looking for happiness even if maybe they didn’t realize it. I voluntarily read an advance copy and purchased the book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I read both of these books in a day and a half. Couldn’t put this one down. Read while traveling. LENORA WORTH and KATY LEE write amazing suspenseful books. This is the first time I have read Katy Lee but will be looking out for more of her books for sure. Lenora Worth is a favorite writer of mine. Grab this book of 2. You won't be disappointed.
Lots of suspense and excitement in this book. I liked that there were 2 stories in the book. I love dogs so it is always fun for me to read about them. These K-9's are very smart and lots of training go into their care. I also loved hearing about the witness protection program and how hard it can really be on both the people in the program and their loved ones left behind. I look forward to reading more by both of these authors.
Worth and Lee each give readers a story of two sisters separated by the head of a drug cartel. When Sara's sister was found she was placed in a hidden location and given a new name. Cara would never see her again. These two novellas are a great weekend read. The second continues where the first ends. Do enjoy!
This was just a great set of stories to go with the K-9 books. It was great to see everyone getting through trials and helping one another and finding justice and romance. Well done also to the team of writers in the series.
I rated this two stars because the chase and pursuit scenes where the heroes were being chased by would-be killers seemed very unrealistic in both books. They were “too much.” Also being a big time dog lover the bond and love between dogs and canine handlers was stilted. Not like dog lovers at all.
