Rate this book
Both have what she wants … but only one has what she needs.

Working with professional athletes and helping them recover from their injuries has always been Kate Townsend’s dream, but after an accident left her scarred and heartbroken years ago she refuses to let what happened in her past happen again. Staying focused is the key, as well as not letting her feelings interfere with her job … no matter the circumstances. All of that is easier said than done when not only one, but two men crave her healing touch, igniting every single desire she’s denied herself for so long.

Cooper Davis, NFL’s star quarterback and most eligible bachelor, packs up and leaves his home to move across the states to the East Coast after an injury results in the embarrassing trade to another team. Bitter from the pain, he deals with his problems through drugs and alcohol—almost ruining his football career—until he meets the one woman who makes him want to feel; the same woman who refuses to give up on him no matter how many times he screws up. He has to have her, and he’s not going to stop until he makes her his. Especially, now that someone else threatens to take her away.

Motocross champion and local bad boy Luke Collins never takes no for an answer. For the past four months he’s used his charms to get what he wants, and now he’s so close to getting the girl of his dreams … if she’ll give in just once. One time is all he needs, and he’s never been known to fail, but he’s also never had to fight for a woman’s affections. Only one man will win their way into Kate’s heart, but which one will intercept the other and take what they want? Which one will she choose?

L.P. Dover has scored a TOUCHDOWN with Intercepting Love!!!! She has done it again. First off, I want to say how much I love this series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but the way each book intertwines with the other is absolutely brilliant. In Intercepting Love, we get Cooper's and Kate's story. I got to know a little about Cooper in a previous book when he was dating Claire. I really felt bad for Cooper in Meant for Me, because he seemed like such a great guy. I was so glad L.P decided to give him his own story. Kate is their team physician. She loved working for the football team. She didn't have to worry about the guys making moves on her, because her brother was on the team and he made sure he told them. I was glad that the story switched POVs between Kate and Cooper. Being inside both of their heads let me connect with both of them even more.

Cooper and Kate both have skeletons in their closet. I love how both become what each other needs to get past it. They lean on each other and are there for each other during their lowest points. That is what love is after all. Being at your lowest point and having that one person there to help push you through. I love how protective Cooper was of Kate and Vise Versa. When Cooper first arrived, I loved how Kate wouldn't even give him the time of day. Cooper never gave up though. He was a very persistent man and a huge flirt. Kate had no chance.

There was a love triangle in Intercepting Love. Luke is the best friend of Kate's brother. He has a past of being a player as well but there was something about Kate that he wanted as well. They were friends for so long and he tried to get her on a date several times. When she finally agreed, Cooper came into the picture. Luke seemed like a great guy. I hope I get to see more of him in the future.

This story was beautifully written and the the character development was perfect!!! Kate and Cooper both grew so much by the end of the story. This story felt so real and life like that I was able to feel everything that the characters for feeling. I felt as if I was there the entire time rooting for them. The suspense was killing me in this book!!! Even though I knew who was doing it, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time waiting for them to strike again. Intercepting Love was a real page turner. It was full of love and suspense from the very beginning. I was hooked after the very first page and did not want to put it down. I can't wait to see where L.P takes us next!!!! I highly recommend this book!!!!

L.P.Dover has done it again writing amazing stories. Once I started this book I could not put it down I had to know what happen next. Kate just finished Med School and has a job as a Physician for a NFL Team. She meets Cooper who is a football player he can't seem to stay away from her and there's her brothers Best Friend Luke which Luke has had a thing for Kate and finally Luke asks her out on a date it's hard for Kate to agree but she finally does. Can Kate ever Love again? Or we'll her past keep haunting her forever? Who we'll she choose Luke or Cooper? I could go on about This awesome book but I do not want to ruin it for you!!

I was given this book for an honest review. As always when I read ANYTHING by L.P. Dover I fell absolutely in love with this book and could not put it down. Such an enjoyable and hot read. This can be read as a standalone although it is part of the Second Chances series. Everytime I read one of these book in the series I fall a little more in love with all the characters. I just love how the author weaves them all together. I absolutely adored Kate and Cooper's story. This is one story you do not want to miss!!!

Man oh man, how am I supposed to pick and stick with a book boyfriend if every time L.P. Dover writes a book I have a new one?!?! I love love love love that L.P. Dover did a fifth book to her Second Chances series, and decided that this time it was going to involve football. However, I do miss the MMA fighters, any sports athlete is fun! This story was no exception. LP Dover really knows how to write a story that involves, love, friendship, drama, and sports. I love how realistic she makes her stories and how relatable the plots are. These kind of situations can actually take place and I'm sure have taken place we just haven't heard about them. I also love the plan on words with the title and how it always always is a play on the specific sport that is written into the character!

"I know I definitely wouldn't want you spending time with another man if you were mine."

Intercepting Love is a sweet story about two people who have deep, sad, and messed up pasts that meet and find that they can be loved and can find love again!

"My fingers ached to grab a handful of it and hold her to me as I claimed her lips with my own. She was so goddamned beautiful."

Kate Townsend, experienced something quite traumatic two years ago that no one should have have to experience, especially when it involves a loved one. This very traumatizing incident has left her feeling as though she is not worthy of someone's love every again and therefore she throws herself into her work as the physicians assistant to the NFL Charlotte Panthers. Never really able to let go and completely move on Kate deals with the pain everyday and even worse on the anniversary of it until she meets the new quarterback for the team, Cooper Davis.

"I'm sure you'll figure that out when the time comes. If you want me to kiss you, I'm not going to do it until you place your soft lips on mine first. If you want me to touch you, I'm not going to unless you beg me for it. It's all on you now, love."

Cooper Davis, former quarter back to the Oakland hurt his shoulder his life went downhill. Eventually all the spiraling got him kicked off the Oakland football team, however one team did want him and he was traded to the Charlotte Panthers. Never receiving any positive support from his parents Cooper always felt like he would never be good enough or felt as though he could be loved until in walked Kate Townsend.

"Hope that one day you will see in my eyes what I see in yours. There's a craving deep inside of you that I can see each time I touch you. It burns brighter every single time. I've never seen that with anyone, and that is how I know I have a chance."

Immediately Kate starts feeling nervous around Cooper and his dazzling crystal blue eyes, but keeps telling herself that she can't possibly fall for someone like Cooper, someone that is only into the sexy and drugs according to the many tabloid stories. Meanwhile, Cooper makes Kate aware that he is going to wear her down and she will eventually be his and that he never gives up.

"It's because I love you, Kate, and people aren't supposed hurt the ones they love."

Eventually, Cooper does what he said he would and kate gives in! The chemistry between the two of them is fun and intense. Each being what the others needed to move past the pain from the past. Both being there for each other when they really need it and trusting and loving each other is what gets them through their bumpy love story. It just takes that one person sometimes to help you realize that you are worth it and that people can change for the better. I love stories like this because if gives people out there hope that there is someone for everyone and you go through certain experiences good and bad and that things happen for a reason.

"Nothing and no one is going to keep me away from you…..None of that even compares to you."

When I was reading the story nothing seemed as if these events and type of relationships could never happen. Not every relationship is easy…pretty much none of them are and that is why I love the stories that sum up the Second Chances series and the characters of each story get just that a second chance, however they have to work for it it isn't just handed to them. They have to earn this second chance in order to make them not take it for granted. Real life lessons in this story and the others. Never give up and always fight for what you want and never feel as though you don't deserve what you want.

"I'm always thirsty for you love."

I can't wait for the next installment to the Second Chances series. Thanks to L.P. Dover for writing such great stories.

If you like sports, romance, sexual tension, great friendships, a bit of drama/action, and strong characters this book is definitely something you will want to read. Cooper Davis is one sexy character and my new book boyfriend.

Angela's 4 Star Review

A copy of the book was provided in exchange for an honest review.

The story is based on a love triangle (not your typical one) of Kate, Luke and Cooper. Let me just emphasize there is no cheating in this book. This story is about learning to accept love and be loved again, being there for that someone no matter what they have going on in there lives. Trying to help them heal from their past mistakes to prevent them from occurring again. It's about taking a chance on the one you love, accepting them, and willing to open up to them about your past.

Kate Townsend suffered a tragedy two years prior in her life and has never fully recovered from it. Moving on from it has never been easy for Kate but each day she puts one foot in front of the other, thankfully she has a job she loves. Kate's a private physician for her hometown NFL team the Carolina Cougars. She has her brother Evan to thank for since he's the star wide receiver and he encouraged her to apply for the job. Kate's a strong, caring, loving person who swore off dating two years prior and focused all her time and energy on her job, that was until Cooper Davis breezed into her life.

Cooper Davis, NFL’s star quarterback and most eligible bachelor, packs up and leaves his home to move across the states to the East Coast after an injury results in the embarrassing trade to another team. Cooper has a dark past and has done everything in power to cover it up. He's a very bitter man and uses drugs and alcohol to help him through his pain, almost to the point of ruining his football career.
Cooper's was in love in the past and had his heart broken, he's now decided to move on from it and focus all his time and energy on his football career, that was until he meets the beautiful Kate Townsend who could help him feel again, maybe even love again, the woman who would stand by him and help him no matter how many times he screws up in his life.

"There's a craving deep inside of you that I can see each time I touch you. It burns brighter every single time. I've never seen that with anyone, and that is how I know I have a chance."

Luke Collins, motocross champion and bad boy, best friend to Kate's brother Evan. For quite some time now Luke's had feelings for Kate and he's finally ready to let her know. He finally asks her on a date this is his one and only shot to prove his true feelings for her. He's not the type of guy who fights for a woman’s affections or takes no for an answer. Once Kate accepts to go on a date with Luke can he show her he's the man she really needs in her life.

Will Kate finally take a chance on love again, or will she continue to live her life unhappy?

The bigger question is who will Kate choose to be happy with, the NFL quarterback Cooper Davis with the troubled past, or motocross local bad boy Luke Collins?

"When I want something I'm going to go for it, and when I see it I'm going to take it."

Intercepting Love will have you hooked from the prologue to the epilogue. The story has romance with some sexy steamy sex scenes, also thrown into the mix you got some suspense, emotions and heartache all which makes for an excellent story. There's some twists and turns you won't be expecting.

"I want to spend the rest of my life with you. You know how hard it was for me, but yet you stuck by me and always saw the good. You never gave up on me when so many others in my life did."

L.P. Dover's Second Chances Series brings together two aspects of the romance genre that I love - sports and a second chance at love. Readers met Intercepting Love's hero, Cooper Davis, in Meant to Be, where he watched who he thought was the love of his life choose someone else; since then, he's been in a bit of a downward spiral. Cooper is now the damaged football player whose past actions have made him a favorite with the tabloids and an outcast among the NFL, and now, he finds himself with one last chance to get back to being the confident, winning quarterback he used to be. Coop comes to his uncle's team looking for redemption on the field, but it's the woman on the sidelines that just might be who he needs to get back to being not only a player but a man worthy of victory both on and off the field.

Kate Townsend has a past of her own that has prevented her from getting close to anyone, fearing the damage that she could cause another person. So, she keeps to herself, focusing solely on her job. But a certain motorcross superstar, Luke Collins, who just so happens to be Kate's brother's best friend, is slowly changing her mind, but just when Luke finally persuades Kate to take a chance on him, she gets a call from the coach of the NFL team she's a physician for to come check out their new quarterback - Cooper Davis. Now, there's two men vying for Kate's heart; a heart that she doesn't know if she can risking giving to either one.

I'm not a big fan of love triangles, so at first, I wasn't sure this was going to be the book for me, but this is not your typical love triangle. Early on, there's a clear cut winner regardless of how much the other guy doesn't want to face that fact. So this story isn't really about two guys fighting over the same girl; it's about the hero and heroine fighting for each other. It's about seeing past someone's external persona and diving underneath to see who s/he really is. It's about feeling like someone has your back no matter what's uncovered. The story's about so much more than who gets the girl.

I loved getting Kate and Cooper's perspective as everything begins to unfold as well as unravel. It definitely helps to understand where they are both coming from and what they're risking for each other. Kate is an incredibly strong woman, but she internalized her guilt so deeply that it controlled her life until Cooper helps her to see beyond the pain. L.P. captures Kate's struggle brilliantly through the first person point of view. Cooper hit rock bottom, but with Kate's assistance, he slowly pulls himself out and makes amends for his actions. I don't think readers would be able to clearly understand how far Cooper's come without hearing it from his perspective. Kate and Cooper's road to redemption needed to be told through their own eyes, and L.P. does a fantastic job of allowing their story to be told.

Intercepting Love has a great mix of angst, suspense, steam, and romance. At first, I found it a bit hard to get into, but once the storyline picked up and secrets started to be exposed, it had my attention until the end. Now, I need to go back and check out the first four books in the series!

I Received A Complimentary Copy of This Book From The Author In Exchange For My Honest Review!!!!

I'm a huge fan of LP Dover and she's actually one of my one click obsessions. What does that mean you ask? Well that means that whenever she releases a new book I automatically go out and one click it on Amazon. Her writing ability is amazeballz and she has a way of pulling the reader into the story. You end of feeling like you are right there with the characters living a life with them and being part of the story. Though all of her Second Chance books can be read as a stand alone I recommend reading them in order just because you are introduced to some of the characters in these books in previous books.

This book had it all romance, a love triangle, mystery, suspense, danger, and yes tears and sometimes there are lots of those ugly snotty nose crying tears. Kate Townsend is a physician for a NFL team in Charlotte, NC. She has a troubled past and doesn't date because of the guilt she carries over the way the last relationship she was in ended. It's been two years and now that she's decided to give dating a shot again she finds herself stuck between two hot and sexy alpha men.

Cooper Davis, who we got the pleasure of meeting in Meant For Me, is the new quarterback for the Carolina Cougars. After losing Claire to Mason in Meant For Me his life went on a downward spiral which only got worse when he got injured. He got into some trouble that got him kicked off his old team the Oakland Raiders and "traded" to his new team. He's attracted to Kate when he first sees her and when he discovers that she's not married or dating he decides to pursue her. I feel for Cooper and everything he's going through especially after meeting his mom. A woman who I despise and you will all discover why as you read the story.

Luke Collins is a motorcross champion, the best friend of Kate's brother Evan, the local bad boy, and a player. He's been friends with Kate for a few years and for the past four months she's been helping him with physical therapy after a mototcross accident left him with a broken leg. Now that the therapy is over he wants more from Kate.

This is a story about overcoming obstacles and being there for the one you love regardless of what they are going through or what you are going through. It's about opening yourself up to someone and taking a chance on love. Helping the one you love move on from their past mistakes or pain and finally begin to heal. Being there for them so that they don't go back down that road again. This story was a real tearjerker at times and by tearjerker I'm talking that snot nosed crying. I can't wait to see what LP has for us next.

I recommend going out and one clicking this baby now. l promise you won't be disappointed and while you are doing that don't forget to check out the other books in her Second Chance series. She also has a Fae series that is absolutely amazing. L.P. I just want to say you're a whole lot of awesomesauce and amazeballz rolled into one. A will remain a fan of you and your books for life.

I just adore this series and I always look forward to the next book! I was really excited about this book when I heard whose book it was going to be because both main characters really intrigued me when they made appearances in the previous books! The plot of this book was amazing! There were a few times where the plot did slow down, but then it would start to build again! There was also a bit of suspense in this book, but I felt it was over too quickly lol! I would have loved it if more had happened to make the suspense build more! I really enjoyed it though and there were plenty of hot scenes too, which I loved! I also couldn't put this book down until I had finished it! I was really drawn into the plot and the characters! The characters were amazing! Kate was the main female character and she was such a loveable person! There was something about her that just made me love her and connect with her! I have to admit though that I didn't make the connection that Kate was actually in one of the previous books in this series until it was mentioned in this book lol! I recognised the scene as soon as it was mentioned though! My heart also broke for Kate in this book as well! Something devastating happened that changed the way she was and I cried so much when everything was revealed! It really showed how strong Kate was though and it showed what she had been through! Cooper was the main male character and also the main love interest of Kate! Cooper was introduced in the third book in this series, but he was only in it for a short time! I loved Cooper! He was so hot and I loved how protective he was of Kate! I could see how strong his feelings for her where! Cooper had a few secrets of his own in this book and I didn't know what was going to happen when they revealed! I was really happy with the outcome of it all though and I liked that Cooper's secret stirred things up a bit! I loved that this book was written from both Kate and Cooper's point of views! It helped me connect with both characters more and I loved getting to see their feelings for each other develop through both of their eyes! There was a love triangle in this book, but the synopsis tells you there's going to be! The love triangle was between Kate, Cooper and Luke! I was Team Cooper from page one, but I did like Luke! What I loved about the love triangle was that it wasn't the main focus of the story! There was so much more going on and I liked that the love triangle didn't overshadow that! It did add a lot to the plot though! I'm really excited to read the next book in this series! It's going to be about a character whose story I can't wait to read, so I'm excited! The cover for this book is absolutely stunning! It suits the other covers perfectly and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it! Big thank you to L.P. Dover for an ARC of Intercepting Love and to Enticing Journey Book Promotions for having me on the Blog Tour!

"I love you, Kate," he murmured in my ear. "I never thought it was possible to love someone so much." Keeping up her pace and clenching her body tight all around me, she shook her head and let the tears fall. "Nothings wrong, everything actually feels right. For once I feel ... complete." These have to be two of my favorite lines from this book... you can just feel the emotions in them.

Now as for the book... we meet Kate as she is getting ready to move into the next stage of her career path which is graduating and finishing her medical degree. She has just accepted a job as a physician with Carolina's football team, which her bother plays on as well. Unfortunately her world is shifted upside down when she goes over to her then boyfriends house and discovers him dead. She could not understand why he would commit suicide because she was moving and how could he do this right now. Left completely torn apart from this even two years later Kate is still trying to recover, and feels that she is not worthy of finding love again.

Cooper has hit rock bottom. The only team willing to take a chance on him in the NFL is that of Carolina which his Uncle Joel coaches. Not having any other choice Cooper leaves California and moves to Carolina to start the next chapter of his life and to try and leave the demons in California behind. What he doesn't expect is to meet the one person who will change his life for the better, but can he prove to her that he is nothing like what the papers has presented him as?

I am a sucker for a good romance story. Through in my love of sports and it could not be a more perfect combination. Kate and Cooper have both been dealt blows in their lives that have all but knocked their feet out from under them. Not willing to give up and both prepared for a fight of wills, they help each other through some of the most difficult moments that they can face. Because of the support that they give one another, with emotions running high, they both find themselves in a positions of not knowing how to deal with their feelings. This is one of the parts that pulls you into this book. Add to the suspense of who is actually trying to tear them apart and the fact that Luke, Kate's brothers best friend, wants Kate's attention and affection as well and you have one hell of a story. This is one of those stories where it just goes to show that the heart will win over mind ever time. I love the way L.P. Dover writes her athletes and their girls. I can honestly say that yes this is a book that I will pick up and read over and over again, just because it gives me the warm and fuzzy's. If you want a book that is light and just fun to read then this is a book for you. It is four bar worthy for sure. Nicely written Mrs. Dover.

L.P. has a way of just sucking me into her world and making me comfortable. I really loved this book. I loved that L.P. brings back characters from past books in the series and makes use of them in the current situation. I loved seeing those glimpses of them, just to know that they were doing well and that they were happy in the path they chose.
I enjoyed meeting the characters in this book and seeing Cooper again. I had been hoping he would get his own woman who loved him as much as he loved her. He did. He just didn't know what a ride he was in for when he found her. Erin has been through a lot in her life. Things that most people don't even have to think about dealing with. Luke is Erin's brother Evan's best friend and has convinced himself that he's perfect for Erin. He finally convinces her to go on a date with him when Cooper enters the picture. Cooper enters Erin's life when he's traded to the team that she works for. After hearing nothing but negative things about Cooper in the press, Erin's not certain that he is what the team needs. She goes into the meeting with Cooper expecting to dislike him immensely. Everyone expects Cooper to be a handful and then some, so it's a pleasant surprise when he's not. Cooper has been dealing with a lot of issues himself, and being traded to a new team is not something he wanted.
Cooper deals with everything with a grace that he had to have gotten from his Father, because his Mother is definitely not graceful or even smooth. I despised her for what she did to Cooper, I mean, how does a Mother betray her child in that way? She hurt not only Cooper, but Erin as well. Erin, Cooper and Luke all are involved in the things that happen surrounding Erin. Erin's past is reaching out to drag her down, trying to ensure that she is never happy with anyone. Once Cooper finds out what's happening, he's on it. He doesn't want the woman he cares for being hurt, and goes to Mason for help in the matter. Once Cooper finds out what's happening, and what has happened to Erin, he intends to make her safe. Erin finds herself falling for Cooper, despite herself. Once they make that connection, there's no turning back for either of them. There are some twists and turns and bumps along the way, but Erin and Coper have found the one they've never knew they were searching for and they're not going down without a fight.
I truly love this series, and will continue to do so. L.P. writes fantastic story lines that pull me in and don't let go until the end, most times I still want more. I wish I could rate it higher because 5 stars isn't enough.

I received an ARC for my honest review.

Upon waking this morning I found this gem in my inbox and quickly became so engrossed in it that I have done nothing all day except for spending time with Cooper and Kate.

I don't want to spoil this amazing book for anyone so I have no spoilers in my review.
This book starts off with a BANG starting with the prologue and only gets better with each page turned. I must admit that when I read the synopsis for this book I was concerned I HATE love triangles and the emotions they envoke. Ms. Dover however managed to write an amazing story of healing and love without making us choose between two DELICIOUS men. Both who have amazing qualities and both who cherish our heroine Kate.
We first meet Cooper in Meant for Love and I knew immediately I wanted to know more about this man. His ability to help at Claire's vineyards even when his heart was broken showed just how strong he was.
Well he only gets better in this book. Yes he has struggles, demons and a Past he regrets but his confidence and willingness to change to become a better man shows just how special he truly is.
There are lots of twists ans turns in this story but I LOVED all the characters and their interaction with each other. It was great to catch up with some of the previous characters and to see how their lives are going.
Kate is am amazingly strong, independent, loyal woman who loves wholeheartedly and Will definitely make you love her.I am looking forward to the next book in this series and I have my fingers crossed that our hot motocross star will have is own book too. He is an amazing friend to Kate and I have no doubt he will be an amazing boyfriend.
You will not regret your time spent with Cooper Holden Davis you may however be sad when it comes to an end.

Another great love story by a great author.

We met Cooper in Meant for Me when he lost who he thought was the love of his life to another man. Now in Intercepting Love Cooper has been given a second chance to be the professional quarter back he was before his injury. Not only did he hurt his career with his injury but everything that followed after the jury made his team in Oakland trade him to Carolina Cougars. Cooper is definitely not happy about this trade.

Kate works for the Carolina Cougars as a Physician Assistant. Her brother Evan is a wide receiver on the team. Kate has had a rough few years and is just trying to stay focused on her career. She happens to be the physician on duty when Cooper arrives and has to do his check up. He also happens to have moved in 2 houses away from her.

Luke is a motor cross star and is also Evan’s best friend. He has decided he is ready to try and make Kate his after years of playing the field and having fun. Luke and Kate are close friends and so Kate decides to go on the date with Luke to see if their friendship could evolve into more.

Kate has 2 amazingly hot guys chasing after her and has to choose which one. I am not usually a fan of love triangles but this one doesn’t take the whole book to resolve since there are other more dangerous things that need to be dealt with.

Not only does Kate have the 2 guys trying to claim her but she has someone who is after her. I don’t want to give anything away.
I really enjoyed this book just like all of the other books by this author I have read. The characters are all well written and the storylines are great. I can’t wait to see which character gets their own story next. I hope it is either Evan or Luke. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a great love story with some mystery and suspense involved.

I was gutted when I didn't receive an ARC of this book as it seems like I've been waiting for it forever after I purchased all the books in this series and read them in just a few days. However, it made my day when I saw the paperback was up on Amazon already and I could get it to arrive before the kindle release. I just had to order it straight away and I got the in the post today--I squealed at the postman which he did look at me strangely for. I couldn't wait to start it and it was the perfect summers day for reading so spent most of it outside with this book. I just couldn't put it down. Once again this author captured my heart with her words and characters, creating a story I fell in love with and couldn't put down.

I will admit that the MMA romances in this series have been my favourite so I'm super excited for her new series with the other fighters but this books was just as good. It was nice to hear Cooper's story and the NFL and 'football' was interesting as being from the UK, it's not something that is common here or that I know much about.

Cooper was just a swoon-worthy as any of L.P's other male leads and I liked Kate's bite. I'm still not sure about Luke so I'm glad there wasn't as much of him in the book as I was expecting but overall the cast was lovable and worked well together. I can't wait for Evan's story as I found myself really growing to like him so now I'll have to begin the long wait all over again for the next release (whichever book that may be).

Overall I'd seriously check this series out if you haven't already. The author has a way with words and you won't be able to stop reading them.

Intercepting Love what can I say besides wholly hotness! This book was just incredible. I enjoyed every moment I spent reading it. I became absolutely drawn into this story and once I was there I couldn't put it down! I once again got to be in the world of Cooper Davis now he is one smoking hot filled with yumminess football playing male that just drives me crazy thinking about him! AS Cooper gets traded to a NFL team in North Carolina he meets the team physician Kate and discovers that maybe he could really fall for a woman like her but after everything he has been through already losing one woman to another guy he's not taking any chances of that ever happening again. Kate on the other hand has not had it so easy herself she lost love and is blamed for his death by his family she decides to swear herself from love and dating as she can't seem to move on from her loss. Cooper however, can't keep his eyes off of her and is determined to make Kate his!
I loved the way theses to characters completely played off of one another as if they had been together this entire time. The flirting was sometimes comical yet very honest and sincere. I fell in love with Cooper and Kate both and found myself at time clinging to the book waiting and hoping that it would all come together in the end and that Cooper would finally get his girl (woman) and that Kate would finally open her heart to love once more. I laughed, cried, cheered, and at times was a little miffed at myself for falling so deep into the story. Intercepting Love grabbed my heart and has held it captive as I fell in love with the book. LP Dover once again has not only had me go through an entire box of tissues but also managed to capture my heart and full attention to yet another captivating creation of romance.

*** This review is based on a complimentary copy of the work provided by l.P. Dover, in exchange for a honest review on behalf of a Redhead LOVES books.

This story is based on a love triangle of Kate, Luke and Cooper.

Kate is a sweet, strong, caring, loving person who is trying to move forward from a tragic heartbreak . Because of this she doesn't date or get close to anyone. Kate helps professional athletes recover from injury and is how she meets Luke and Cooper.
Luke is Kate's brothers best friend. He's had feeling for her for quite some time and has slowly been working his way in to Kate's affections.
Cooper is a newly transferred, injured athlete to join the team. He falls for Kate instantly and is also trying to fight for her affections and love. Cooper however also has his own demons and is addicted to pain killers and drink.

The prologue starts with a bang, that draws you straight in. After this the book builds nicely over the next few chapters to then completely hook you in.

I fell in love with Kate, Luke and Cooper, but esp Cooper. I loved everything about him. He's badass and smoking hot, but also so caring and loving to Kate. All he wants to do is look after her and make her happy. I loved how he was willing to fight all his own demons so he could be the man that Kate deserved.

As you get further through the book you get the feeling you know where the books heading....but it's not that predictable. There are a lot of twist and turns before the end to keep you wondering.

This is the first book I've read by L.P Dover, but I'll be defiantly buying the rest of the Second Chances series now, as I'm dying to find out about the other characters I've missed.

I love Leslie's aka L.P.'s books and with each new book of hers they just keep getting better and better with great characters and a great storyline. Intercepting Love is just that.

The story centers around NFL quarterback Cooper Davis who you met or will met in Meant For Me. You don't have to read Meant For Me to understand this book but I recommend that you read as many of Leslie's books as you can! Cooper after leaving California because he lost the girl in the previous book Claire and had his share of problems with both the team and medical issues comes to North Carolina to play for the NFL team there. It is here in North Carolina that he mets the team physician Kate Townsend. Kate's younger brother Evan also plays for the team as a receiver. Immediately Cooper is smitten with the beautiful Kate and wants to get to know Kate better.

Ok so here comes the problem.....Luke Collins a Motorcross Champion who is also taken with Kate and has been for years but there are two strikes against Luke first, he is a player and Kate is very aware of it and second Cooper Davis! Luke is Kate's brother Evan's best friend. Yes there is a love triangle here in this story but the story takes on much more.

There are ghosts from the past the have taken their tolls on both Cooper and Kate and having to deal with these ghosts and what lays ahead of both of them is what makes the story. Yes Luke is still in the picture and he has no intention of backing down to Cooper for that matter. So with this book you get dinner and a movie! You get a whole lot of stuff happening here my friends....

Who will Kate choose is the big question while caring for one and loving the other (both men are hot as hell in my opinion by the way).

Another winner for L.P.!

I have read all of LP Dover's books and this has to be one of my favorites! Each one of her Love's Second Chance series has been amazing and each has its own story line that keeps each one interesting. When we read Mason and Claire's story we fell in love with them, but what we only got a taste of what was the amazing character that Cooper Davis was going to turn out to be. I remember reading the book and feeling so bad for Cooper because he loved Claire so much, but she picked Mason.

Reading this story and knowing the Cooper gets his second chance at love was just perfect. Kate is a heartbroken soul that needs someone to help remind her that there is more than one love possible for you, and nothing should stop you from finding true love. I could not have imagined making a better counterpart for Cooper than Kate, they force each other to step up to the plate and fight for something that you want. Unfortunately we learn that there is always someone wanting to bring you down when you are your happiest and these two must truly fight for what they want and their happiness.

I can not wait for the next book in the series and I hope that the older characters keep making cameo appearances in the future books. If you follow my reviews you know I don't give spoilers, and I am not starting now. If you have not read the book, then go get it now! If you have not started this series then get to it and I will see you back here when are all a caught up! Have fun, and keep reading!!!!!

Intercepting Love is a TOUCHDOWN in my book! I love L.P. Dover’s creativity and thinking when she writes a book. She is able to create a world that you feel like you can belong in and creates characters that you feel in touch with. She has done just that with Intercepting Love.
The story follows Kate, a beautiful young girl who is a physician for a NFL Team. She has a zest for life, but yet skeletons in her past that can make her feel like she is struggling to free herself. She decides to give dating a shot after a devastating end to a past relationship. Instead of one person vying for her affection, it ends up being two. Luke, her brother’s best friend, and Cooper, the new quarterback for the team.
The story is not your typical love triangle; there is more to this story than who gets the girl. It’s a story of overcoming obstacles, being there for someone no matter what they are going through, and trying to help them heal from their past mistakes to prevent them from happening again. This is about taking chances on those that you love, and dedicating yourself to them, and to be willing to open your own past up and laying it out for the world to see. That is what this story is about, baring your soul to someone for acceptance, understanding, and forgiveness.
Intercepting Love has romance, suspense, and emotions woven into the pages that create a wonderful book. Ms. Dover has once again outdone herself in creating a book that the readers will love.

I really enjoy the Second Chances series. They are all standalones yet the characters are intertwined. We met Copper in Fighting for Love as Claire’s on again off again boyfriend. Had no idea what was brewing under the surface for him!

The way the author deals with and has them move forward with their issues and pasts is incredible. It’s not easy, solved in a minute problems. The demons that live with Cooper are Kate are strong and so deeply embedded that at times I wondered if either of them would be able to come to a point where they could be happy or feel love again. Watching the two of them work through it all made for a beautiful story. Neither of them are perfect, but the passion and innate connection and trust goes a long way to help each of them heal.

There is drama. Some mystery. A lot of passion. Funny banter and interesting dialogue. There were a few sections where the story faltered- the Luke side story line was awkward for me. Their friendship seemed to be the most important so trying to make it a romance was off.

Love how Cooper was able to get over his intense anger and ask for help from the most unexpected source. Kate was able to forgive even if she is never going to forget. Their emotional growth is astounding. As is the baggage that is disposed of. When truths are revealed- holy waterproof mascara! The sobs were intense. Kate and Cooper make sense together, love their story and can’t wait for more from L.P. Dover.

Book Worms reviewer Lauren left this Review, thank you Lauren.
This is book 5 in the Second Chances Series but can be read as a stand alone.

Kate Townsend is someone who helps athletes recover from injuries. With troubling thoughts, she has some trouble figuring out what she should do with her life at the time being. When Kate gets a letter that changes everything for her she decides to head to her home town. Where she runs into Luke Collins.

Luke is a motocross champion, and he really wants to be with Kate; whatever the costs. He's talked to Kate for a few months and is close on closing in on Kate when the one and only, Cooper Davis shows up.

Cooper, as we find out in the previous book (4) is an NFL star quarterback and is quite upset and angry after past events had led him to where he is now. But that all changes when he meets Kate.

This book is a suspenseful, romance. Who will Kate choose? Who will fight for Kate the hardest? Will Kate ever get to be happy in life? Find out by reading this book, worthy of 5 stars, and fall in love with yet another stunning novel by L.P. Dover.

Do not start this book right before your bedtime. Why? Because you will not go to sleep until you finish. Trust me. I couldn’t put this book down for anything. L.P. Dover has outdone herself again. If you thought her past books were marvelous then you will be blown away with this one.
Cooper Holden Davies, who you might remember from Fighting for Love as the boyfriend of Claire is one of the stars of this story, along with Kate Townsend. Both have a troubling past. Kate’s past has been haunting her for two years, while Coopers started after we met him in Fighting for Love.
With troubled pasts there always come difficulties in moving forward. This book takes you through the healing process of both Kate and Cooper and what they had to deal with in the past. There are some mighty hot and steamy scenes that will have you heating up. As well as scenes that will make you ball your eyes out (so make sure you have tissues handy), make you complete upset and angry, but also have you feeling deliriously happy.
There are some very shocking moments throughout this story. You will be surprised at some of the plot twists. I was. The ending is beautiful. You will love this book. If you have not read the other Second Chances Standalone books then I highly recommend that you do so. You will not be disappointed with this book at all.

I love Leslie and her books, and I'm glad she decided to do a sports romance, although I liked this book, I loved her MMA romances she writes the best. Cooper that boy is just a big ole' flirt, "Cooper lifted a brow. "Was it a girl friend or a guy? Please tell me I didn't let you borrow my car to meet up with another man." I was also very surprised that in the heat of some moments the boy could be considerate, "her breathing picked up faster the more I teased her with my tongue and lips. My co** hurt so bad that I had to unzip my jeans to give it space. I wanted to effing bad to make love to her right there on the table, but I knew it wouldn't be comfortable for her." Cooper he is funny when he is trying to coax a gun away from his woman, "Kate, let me have the gun," he said, prying my fingers away from it. When I narrowed my gaze at him, he held up his hands and sighed. "I don't doubt your shooting skills, love, but I'm pretty sure I have more experience. Now let me have the clip." I loved how playful he was when he was with Kate, it made me all ga-ga, "all right, love, you better cheer me on today. Why don't you get out there and dance with the girls," he teased, smacking my a**. "I think you'd be sexy as hell in those little skirts." I really do like the books Leslie writes, they're characters that you fall in love with, and hope for the best.

I fall in love with L.P. Dover's books each time, but Intercepting Love is now one of my all time favorites. A story about loss, heartache, mistakes, and of course second chances.

Kate has been through so much over the years. She has lost the one she loves. As if that wasn't hard enough, his family is blaming their loss on her. Making it impossible for Kate to even begin to heal. Sticking to safe and sensible when it comes to life Kate takes a job with her brother's football team. With him warding off advances life is just a little bit easier. That is until Cooper joines the team.

Cooper hasn't had it easy either. He lost his love to another man, hurt his shoulder, and went on a complete downward spiral. After getting kicked from his team and not having many other options, he joins a team in North Carolina. Little did he expect to encounter someone like Kate. A woman that keeps him on his toes and truly cares about helping him.

As they fight their feelings for each other you can't but to fall in love with them. Each one has had their heart broken and has been trying to survive life since. Now they are seeing for the first time that just maybe they won't have to survive alone. That is until someone arises that doesn't want that happiness to exsist.

A wonderful story that will have you racing towards the end and then wanting more.

I have to start out by admitting this is the first of the Second Chances series I have read. I was a little worried at first that not knowing any previous characters would lessen my enjoyment for the book. That could not be further from the truth. This comes as a solid 4.5 and I fully intend to catch up on the beginning of the series.

Kate grabs my heart right off the bat being just down right likable. She goes through this horrible experience that scars her for life in the first chapter. It sets a burning desire to see something wonderful happen for this girl.

In walks Luke and Cooper. Both stereotypical dream men in their own ways. Both are bad boys who just want to do good... for the right woman. Kate appears to be the key to not only their salvation but her own. Sadly she can only choose one...

In the end Dover did a good job taking what is a predictable romantic plot and spicing it up with plot twists and just good writing. And I can't go without saying the love scenes do not leave you wanting. I look forward to seeing if some of my favorite characters get their own series. Excellent book and I have high hopes!

'Reviewed on Behalf of Give Me Books'
This was a pretty good story about letting go of the past, loving again and moving forward. I give it 3 1/2 stars.

This is a story of Kate, who blames herself for what happened to Scott her first love and because of that she feels she's unworthy of loving or being loved. She finally gives in to Luke to go on a date but then she meets Cooper the new quarterback on the team she works for. Sparks fly between Cooper and Kate but there is resistance on Kate's part but with a little nudge from her friend/neighbor she gives in to Cooper and allows herself feel and love again.

Cooper has recently dealt with having his heart broken, abusing prescription drugs and a scandal he had to pay to keep it hush. He knows Kate is different and because of that he eventually opens to her about his past and asks her for help to help him with his prescription addiction. He realizes that he loves her more than he's ever loved anyone else and because of that he will do whatever he has to to protect her.

There is some mystery and crazy in this story but to me the most shocking part is when she gets a video Scott left her, I didn't see that coming. Though I'm glad she got it because of that she was able to stop blaming herself and she was truly able to move on. I love it when an author includes an Epilogue so thank you L.P. Dover!

I've always been a fan of LP Dover's work. The forever fae series is my favorite. Intercepting love is was no exception to how I feel about her writing. I've only read her forever fae series prior to reading this book and im now kicking myself that I didn't read her other books as well. She is a great writer and this book proves it. It starts off slowly introducing you to the characters and building their world so that you feel like your right there with them. At one point you forget your reading because you feel like your apart of there world and your right there with them as they are going through their story. The story builds nicely and sucks you in to the point you cant stop. I wont lie...I read the entire book in one sitting. I just couldn't stop till I found out what happened....it wasn't predictable thankfully, it was entertaining. Heartbreak, love, witty banter, dealing with life's struggles all the while discovering your stronger than you thought because you have that one special person by your side. It makes for an excellent story. I highly recommend this to everyone that wants a good read to suck them in and make them forget about their everyday life. I know it helped me escape for a few hours and I loved it. Bravo LP Dover...you've done it again!
