This isn't a book it is some short, very short, notes on how all running problems can be solved by your form. Some can but not all.

Poor. Not worth reading.

This guy is the king of writing the email instead of scheduling a meeting. Valuable information in so little time. Stoked to give his running tips a try.

Really good advice

This is a short book, so the price is right.

That said, even if you only take two bits of advice from this book, you’re going to notice improvements in your speed. I struggled just getting around the block before, and after reading part of this book, I extended my run and went through additional parts of my neighborhood at a very high clip. I’m trying to train for another marathon, and I think the difference in speed this book made will really help me get there.

Great advice, especially if you’re just starting out.

Basic information that could be helpful.

The quality of the writing makes this book less helpful than I had hoped. Where was the sequence of actions that were to make me a faster runner, effortlessly? It comes across as a collection of activities collected from a few runner's notes over some years time.

Good basics of running

Exercises and having pictures of them is excellent! Nice short read for new and experienced runners alike who have never opened up a running book and just keep slogging it out on their own. We get into a rut.

Easy read

Great read. Very simple, not easy. Doing the stretches is hard, but it’s so straightforward and that’s amazing. I will keep this for sure as my reference.

basic

Covers pretty basic stuff. Seems a bit outdated compared to a lot of the running books that are available now.

I was 15 when I starting distance running in 1969. Unfortunately my high school coach was not a runner, and had no understanding of the finer, more subtle technical points necessary to excel @distance running. Therefore -> it was up to me to discover the simple, workable aspects that fostered my success and love for the sport. What I discovered is remarkable similar to that which the author articulates. The book is concise (a fast read), yet expresses a depth of understanding. Adam D’ Alessandro describes the basics in simple and easily understandable terminology. I highly endorse this work. I wish I had written it!
