Cute legend. My kid read it to me a liked it but he figured it was for younger kids maybe k to grade 1.

Such a sweet little book based on an old Indian folklore tale about how the elephant lost their wings. The elephants, when they had wings, flew around and destroyed houses and trees and farmlands with their antics. The gods decided that while the elephants slept that they would remove the wings and give them to others, like the peacock. Lovely pictures, and fun activities to do in each book. Most enjoyable!

I remember this being the first book I ever read in my life...my mum uses to read it to me when I was around 4...it's nostalgic and although it took me less than 3 min to read ..I still love it and would read it to my kids
