As seriously messed up as this book is, I devoured it, the upbringings the main characters had are awful so know wonder they are all unhinged.
It does have banter, it's hella spicy and has a fiesty fmc.
This is an extremely dark taboo romance with a heavy list of TW's, you have been warned!!!

Extremely dark and extremly taboo, please please please read the freaking triggers and tropes and everything in the beginning. This is not a fluffy book nor does it have any of those aspects. Seriously
Anyway I think it’s a really good book. There is a list that the book hits in all aspects and honestly it’s very well written and it is planned out nicely making you be in suspense but also answering questions soon.
The boys, amazing. Octavia has a spine and grows it more. Glad she wasn’t just a docile FMC

!!!Check TW list before reading!!! This book is not for the faint hearted!
That being said I loveddddd this book! I definitely think it could have had a bit more of a storyline to it but overall it was really good! It had really good spice scenes and I just genuinely loved the relationship between the three and how taboo it was! I absolutely loved how unhinged the twins are for her and how they’d do anythinggggg for her. I’m a sucker for a good book with 2+ MMC and I would definitely recommend this to others who enjoy it as well! Did a great job of not overdoing it with the twins relationship but made it taboo enough to draw you in! Super quick and easy to read! I wish the ending had more to it, I want to know what happens during the last scene after the wedding 👀😆

Very fast paced and spicy read. If you’re diving into this one headfirst, definitely read through the trigger warnings! This is the perfect read for those who want smut smut and spice spice galore lol there’s just enough plot to keep you interested and it had several plot twists that I didn’t see coming and it was incredibly well written!
I pictured their manor like the castle from beauty and the beast, it really had that aesthetic to me and I liked seeing the growth of the FMC. She’s definitely a stabby one. Iykyk 😂

Ayyooo wtf did i just read? Such a dark book! I suggest you read trigger warnings before proceeding this book! "Ouch", " WTF" Moments are just speechless! This is completely messed up book and dark romance girlies will absolutely love it! This is sure twisted siblings i have ever read! Bro learned applying nail paint just for her!! Maaannnnn!!! Where can i get man like this!? Again check trigger warning before reading this book! It's dark, gore amd forbidden read! Wow! Loved the ending! From scared little peanut to badass royal queen! I love her journey! Also check the freaking trigger warning list before you proceed! It's dark not only grey dark but a charcoal dark book!

Wow. OK. So first off... Be sure to check the triggers on this!! These aren't there as a soft heads up...theyre there as a hard warning!
Octavia has been summoned home after years squandered away at boarding school. Nervous at seeing her father and again and her older twin brothers again, Dorian and Bastian, she tries to reason as to why she's been summoned....
Fright night at velka manor has begun, but she still hasn't seen her father, just her brothers....
I'm really not going in to detail in this book! It's unique! The twists and turns it has are fun to read and anything I say can give aspects of the story away and I dont want to do that!
It was a fun read, be sure to check your trigger warnings and there's no reason you shouldn't find it the same. It's so good to see octavia finally being able to be herself, and for Bastian and Dorian to have her back. No matter their relationship.
Expect lots of heat and sizzle, there's an unexpected scene at the dinner table with the grandfather which in its own scene had so many surprising twists!

Let me first say, for me reading the trigger warnings gave away too much of the book. I had an idea of what would happen throughout the book because of them. If you have ANY triggers do not read. The only one I would emphasize is incestuous relations. I would also classify this as "twisted" more than "dark".
As I said previously, reading the trigger warnings took some of the shock factor out for me unfortunately. I do wish we had a little but more of the back story before jumping in rather than it being mentioned throughout the book, but that is just my personal preference. Octavia was always protected by her big brothers, until her father sent her away. Her brothers wouldn't accept that and took everyone down who got in their way. The twins' level of love and obsession will never be beat. Hands down my favorite character was Bastian. He just has my heart, he gives the story some levity being the light hearted twin.

Heat level: 4/5. 3.5/5 stars. There was quite a bit of repetitive phrases, a few rough edges that should've been smoothed out, and quite a few typos that should've been corrected by the editor. There was also quite a bit of repetitive puzzle pieces like how damaged they all are, how they're her monsters, etc. It was more tell than show in moments.
Instead of repeating the same stuff over and over, there could've been flashback scenes, had the characters reminisce about their terrible upbringing, or shown more of the people they are holding prisoner for her and had more people tortured or dying on page. This also could've freed up scenes that delved deeper into the secret society. The Bloodline is mentioned quite a few times with no real explanation as to what it does, what the people in it do, how they're so big and bad.
If this was smoothed out, the story would flow better and be more engaging. However the story has really good potential, the characters were interesting, and the spice was super hot. I LOVE Dark Romance and Forbidden Romance disguising itself as full on taboo since they keep the secret within the family. It hits all the kinks and triggers which made my Dark Romance loving heart happy.

I LOVED IT when I said this book is dark it is extremely dark and taboo, as always please check TW⚠️⚠️ and tropes in the beginning before continuing with this book. This book is dark so don’t think it's going to have fluffy material it’s not for the faint of hearts.
To me, this was an amazing book and well-written, the step up was well throughout, and I enjoyed the characters and how morally black both Bastian and Dorian are I even like Octavia and how she grew to have a backbone and don’t take shit from them. My favorite part was the nightmare scenes. The spice is spicing I highly recommend the book.

If you like dark and twisted , this book is for you! Wow was it unexpectedly good! The trigger warnings had me a bit worried going in but I’m glad I gave this book a fair shot! By no means is it for the weak of heart but if you can get past the three pages of trigger warnings this might be your new favorite dark romance! One of the spiciest books I’ve read in a month or two!

It is extremely twisted, messed up with lots of spice, and some twists I did not see coming!

First and foremost check the TW/CW before diving in scenes and topics aren’t for everyone.
Velka Manor is a fast paced, spicy, taboo, dark romance, with unhinged MMC’s and a twisted FMC. A lot of spice and enough plot and twists to keep you interested.
Winter did a great job with the story and characters, it was all really well written.
Definitely recommend for all the spicy taboo, forbidden romance readers out there.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novella. The trigger warning list called out to my dark, filthy loving soul and it followed through with a dirty time.
I absolutely adored the story line as I loved the tab00 elements mixed in with the gore and pure filth, but I felt it lacked more background that would have made it reach its full potential. That being said, Winter did a great job as it was a thrilling read and I would read it again.
I enjoyed the fear for the characters the novella instilled in me and it kept me on my toes during the read. It threw some curveballs that I wasn’t expecting and I was there for it! I love a read that gets me thinking.
Winter did a number on me with how unhinged these characters were. Dorian and Bastian were psychotic and pitch black, I looooooved them. Dorian was an evil, dark beautiful genius. I enjoyed how feral he was. He was definitely the darker of the twins. Bastian was the more fun loving of the two. He was still as unhinged but he was just more fun with it. He was, dare I say cheerful, loving and sweeter. They were the light and the dark and worked so well together. If I wanted a set of twins in my life that would burn the world to the ground for me, it would be these two. Their love for Octavia knows no bounds and to be honest, it made me swoon with how obsessed and possessive they were over her.
Octavia was a brilliant character, I loved how she came across as sweet on the outside but dark on the inside. The twins saw her for what she was; a fellow feral psycho with a warped mind. I enjoyed watching her come out of her shell over the course of the story; her character development was clever. She matched the twins and the dynamic worked well.

Stop what you are doing, I'm in love. I have been waiting a little while for this so I am super glad I have finally gotten to read it, I was honestly started to believe I hallucinated even signing up for it. I did though, so thank you Winter, for allowing me to be one of your readers for this book. I literally read it in less than half a day and I am absolutely convinced that even though I have only just put it down, that I need to re read it.
A completely forbidden romance, a young girl sent away from her two biggest temptations. We all know, the best temptations are always the most forbidden and boy does forbidden fruit taste sweet. The MC’s are seriously what dreams are made of.
My thighs held no control other the fluids leaking, right from the start. I also think I was sweating, drawling and had the highest build up of tension in my body that I could have possibly cried. So dark, I love it, I want to keep it in my pocket and take it out with me. This book is seriously going to become one of my comfort reads. Velka Manor is the place to be!! I wonder if they'll start taking bookings?!

First of all, thank you for the ARC!
As a pitch black reader, I do love dark twisted & psycho as well, and I don’t mind any taboo. I ate gore, depraved, deranged and as dark as it can be. In this case, this book does contain lots of tw - which includes taboo & twisted as well. As usual please check all of the tropes & tw before you proceed in case you’re a sensitive reader / have any that will ick you.
Honestly I like the idea of the mc being dark & twisted, yet for me it might be great if there are more plot than smut in this book. I need more scenes of tortures, gore, twisted things that they did / been through. There are some in the plot which totally make it more interesting, but then it’s been replaced with smut scenes too quickly for me. It’s too much smut - I get that the smut themselves contained twisted & those listed in the tw as well, but for me, their life stories are as interestingly twisted as well and should be explore & expand more in the story / into the plot instead of repeating how monster they are as in inner dialogue or brief flashbacks from characters pov only, like, I need more than the talking, I need you to show me how deranged you are exactly.
If you’re looking for all smut with dark & twisted background, you might enjoy this book. If you want balance or thirst for deranged, twisted / psycho characters that shows how dark they are, this might not really meet the expectations. Overall still a good one, got lots of potential indeed. Cute ending.

To be honest, I don’t remember even signing up for this, so I was very surprised when it dropped into my email. I thanked my past self for filling out that form, though, because this was one helluva dark and twisty taboo ride.
Needless to say, I love me some unhinged murder twins, and Dorian and Bastian do not disappoint in the very least. They embodied everything I would or could ever want and expect in obsessed, possessive, unhinged, abused murder twins in a secret society. The ways in which they spoil Octavia with their unconventional and inappropriate loving, while also loving each other, surprised and shocked me yet also left me feeling warm inside. With their horrid upbringing, they really did love Octavia the best way they could, and it was perfect for her.
I loved witnessing Octavia’s journey from scared and startled girl to what she blooms into at the end (no spoilers). They all give everything of themselves to each other, and Winter Brier captured every emotion and drop of blood quite beautifully. I will need to check out her other books because this was such an enjoyable and spicy dark romance with just a touch of taboo. Loved it.

So first thing I will say is this book has a 3 ish pages of trigger warnings and the author is very thorough about them. So if anything on the list is a no go for you then definitely give the book a pass
That being said this book was a wild read. The characters are DEEPLY unhinged, so if you're an unhinged girlie like me it's worth a read. But beyond being unhinged the characters have a fairly complex interpersonal relationship which is oddly sweet at times. If you're looking for a plot heavy book I don't know that this is the one, but if you're looking for spice, dark romance, and fun you should give this a try.

Wow!! Brier did an amazing job on this dark taboo forbidden love story. I highly suggest reading the trigger warnings before diving in but if you use them as shopping lists like myself I don't think you'll be disappointed. Be mindful however there is incest which not everyone is comfortable with.
The character growth of our FMC was done phenomenally, although some aspects of the book you could perceive what was going to happen it didn't take away from the book by any means. I also enjoyed the development of one of our main MMCs Rian who didn't feel he was worthy of love but after some time was able to express his feelings. I loved Bas from the beginning, I am a sucker for unhinged MMCs and Brier delivered with him.
I loved the ending although it ends in a form of a cliffhanger, which makes you know there will be further books which I'm definitely excited to hear more about these characters and others within the bloodline (grandfather and such).

Holy s***!! There’s dark romance and then there’s this. Darker than a black hole and let me tell you I AM HERE FOR IT!
I am a sucker for dark romance and this certainly delivered. If you’re a lover of dark romance this is definitely for you. Please be aware though this has extensive trigger warning and they are warnings for a reason and I was surprised at how dark it got.
I loved the storyline with all the twists and turns throughout. I’m usually pretty good at picking up twists and surprises before they happen but there were moments in this that I did not see coming, which is as someone who is always disappointed I pick up twists was incredibly refreshing.
Also, who doesn’t love a twin, why choose romance? I don’t want to give anything away with this one and keep you guessing, the suspense is worth it 😏😏

If you want dark, taboo and pure yumminess this book is for you. This is one that you definitely need to read all of the content and trigger warnings to make sure it is something you actually want to read. This book is twisted from the very beginning to the very end. Octavia has had dark and twisted desires for years. When her dad finds out he sends her away from Bastian and Dorian. Three years later she’s finally back home…. Back to them and those desires are still stronger than ever. Bastian and Dorian finally have her back where they want her. Now to show everyone what happens when you get in the way of them claiming what they want most…. Octavia. If you want two MMCs who are twisted and unhinged in different ways, this book is absolutely for you. Especially if you like reading when the FMC ends up down the dark and twisted path with them.

Let me start by saying, Your mental health matters.
Now on a seriously joking note, this book is messed up and f*cked up. I loved it which causes me to question, have a completely destroyed my mental health. Ykw, it doesn’t matter because are messed up as this book was, it was BOMB ASF! Dark. Unhinged. Taboo. Spicy. LOTS OF TWs. Brothers. My last three ARC reads have involved brothers. Is this a sign from the dark romance gods? Ignore me. lol This is NOT a fluffy book. I only recommend this to the individuals who truly have no triggers and nothing can shake you up. Also maybe individuals with no soul lol. Octavia is a feisty, take no shit FMC and Bastian and Dorian are morally BLACK. I repeat MORALLY BLACK. All I can say is WTF did I read and when can I read more!
P.S. I need this in an audiobook

I forgot to put my review for this book in a timely manner. Reader please read the trigger warning on the Author's website. This is a dark, taboo sibling romance. This is definitely not for the faint of heart. There is chasing, drugs, blood play. Remember this is fantasy and in no way am I endorsing any violence in real life. That being said the leading female character was removed from her household by her stepfather because he saw something he wanted to protect her from. But at the age of 18 she is brought back home where her two step brothers have been waiting for her. And they didn't give her a normal welcome home. Omg. these characters have a weird kink is all I will say. But this will get your heart rate racing and wonder why she just doesn't leave. But there are twists and turns and the plot gets twisted amongst these three. take a leap if you love dark romance.

This is a debut novel for Winter, and i’m honestly waiting for what she’ll come up with in the future! This was one of those books where i was enjoying reading it while simultaneously questing as to how i can enjoy all the unhinginess (is that even a word?) going on in this book!
I honestly would have preferred a bit more of the plot development and more clarity as to what bloodline is and does. But was i obsessed with the MMCs and our FMC? Absolutely! Was it a stark contrast when i realised that FMC was as unhinged as our MMCs? Hell yes! She was as bloodthirsty as her brothers and i was eating it up!
Definitely check out the trigger warnings, as this book is a taboo one so if you’re not into some taboo romance it will not be your cup of tea!

When I first got this book and read the LONG list of triggers I knew this was about to be a good one! This was incredible; it was extremely dark and twisted. If you love taboo with some deliciously unhinged men, this is the book for you! Twins just do something different in books and Dorian and Bastian did not disappoint. These two are completely insane in the best way. The chemistry between the guys and Octavia was amazing! The brother / sister smink in this.....if its not your thing I completely understand but if it is, you will love this ;) I can not say it enough to read the triggers with this one, there are a lot of them and it can seem intimidating with everything in this. But if none of those bother you, you will love this :)

Going to be honest, I really don’t know how to write up a review for this book. Not because it was bad, because like I can’t process what I’ve read. Do I want more for the bloodline story, 100%… probably says a lot about me but I’ll own it.
There is a line in the book “It was completely fucked up...and I loved it.” And I think that sums up this book.
Dorian is a refined evil, exuding sinister patience.
Bastian is the unhinged dark feral twin.
Octavia is the baby sister and maybe the darkest of them all.
She was taken away from her brothers for 3 years after her father found her journal filled with all the dark thoughts she had about her big brothers.
What their father didn’t count on, is how the twins felt about their baby sister and the lengths they would go to get her back.
The bloodline must continue…

This book is unhinged, the mmc’s are dark & disturbed & the fmc is a little dark & twisted. Even with the darkness the mmc’s see light in the fmc & she gives as good as she gets. This book was an easy read, more spice than plot but it worked well.
