Noxus is a harmless prankster, a low-ranked villain who would never hurt anyone. He pulls harmless pranks on heroes using his control over air. Sometimes, he'll fling a pie into someone's face at a restaurant, or maybe he'll pull a cape over a hero's face while they're flying. Ever since graduating from Super Academy, he's been classified as a harmless villain that's mostly ignored by the League of Superheroes.
That all changes one day when his son is brutally attacked by a group of junior heroes. Noxus, the now self-proclaimed God of Air, is helpless as he learns that his son has been killed by a group of heroes on their first mission. Irate, he flies into a murderous rage. Now, he won't stop until everyone who had anything to do with his son's death is brought to justice. His brand of justice. He'll grind the entire League of Superheroes to dust if that's what it takes to get his revenge.
Extremely impressive considering it came out of a Reddit story. I do not like the excessive cussing but I don't mind really. Unexpectedly short because when you get the passion to write you put a lot into it but this one was just short and sweet. Really cool
I stumbled on this from one of those reddit ai voiced tiktoks of writing prompts. Saw the comments say it was on Kindle and figured why not, first chapter seemed intriguing. Ended up skipping house chores because I couldn't stop reading until I got to the end, heartwarming and sad at the same time. Well done!
This book was an incredible read Quick to the point no filler. The villain suffers a loss and he takes it out on the superhero community In the perfect format I would love to read more about this particular character And this world he's builder around this super empire
I saw the beginning of this book on tiktok and was immediately hooked. Noxus is a great anti-hero, but the world feels small, the dialog is repetitive at times, and the story lacks refinement. The author could have easily doubled or tripled the word count just by detailing the scenarios better and fleshing out character archs with more backstory and internal monologs.
The underwhelming confrontation with the final council member and the unaddressed insinuation of romantic tension at the end made for an unsatisfying climax and resolution.
I read this book after reading the beginning of it on a reddit post. The story is pretty good, if a bit formulaic however the supporting characters, specifically the women, were not well fleshed out and felt very flat. Other than those minor issues with a few characters, the world building was vague enough to prevent any kind of consistency errors while being rich enough that there was never a question of what was happening.
I think this story is a great narrative for how grief pushes one to act out of character. There were some moments of character conversations that were written a little weird. During those conversations I lost who was saying what. But I think that’s more of my level of reading than it is a reflection of the authors, writing skill.
Overall, I definitely will recommend this to anyone who just wants a story from a different perspective.
Im thoroughly impressed by this story. I came across the reddit thread on tiktok and saw a comment stating it was made into a book, so I had to read it, and im glad I did.
It was a really, really good read. Well written, too. Great storyline and all. I actually hope that there will be another book.
Small Indy book. I first saw a snippet of it and the premise was interesting. It had some highlights but it ends kind of abruptly but also seemed to go on for a little too long. I think it revels in the violence a little too much too. Overall I enjoyed it and worth a read for the interesting concept alone.
This story was so much more than I anticipated and I absolutely loved it. The play on morality and true justice, I was tearing up so much throughout this book and honest cheering on Noxus on quest for vengeance.
I saw the first chapter of this on reddit, and found a post the author made about publishing the rest on here. It's short, but a great read, love the premise, can't wait for the next installment.
For a Reddit story, this is one of the better-written stories out there and the writing prompt that it came from black much to be desired so to see that do so well is great.
It’s a good continuation of the Reddit story, I’m just sad Noxus didn’t get his happier ending, I kinda loved Sin and her character and would’ve of loved seeing them raise children together 😭
Loved how it showed why Noxus, turned into the big bag that he tried so hard up avoid becoming. Honestly, it shows how much someone can turn if someone you care for is murdered. Loved it.
I liked the story quite a bit, but it felt repetitive and the power dynamic didn’t make sense. I know it’s supposed to be “all powerful villain” but he didn’t have any counterpart/equal in any sense at all?
