Excellent finish to a mind-blowing series. Special Agent Waylon Brooks was given the mission of stopping the alien invasion, an impossible task. The aliens are already here. Rory can’t seem to go anywhere without the shadow following. There are multiple secret government installations where experiments are being conducted with the Tokens.

This is a very fast-paced book. You should plan on time to read it. I did have to put it down a time or two just to absorb all the intricacies of what was going on.

People who have passed on, have returned, but how and with whom? But weren’t they buried? What about the clones? Wait. there are clones? And more friends die. More tokens are found and now they’re using Rory and friends as guinea pigs, but who are “they”? What do all the tokens do when they’re put together? It’s not what you think. Who is really the key? Everyone is looking for the “Shepherd”. It’s important, but why, and is it some one or some thing? And who is controlling the invasion. Yes. They are coming. You’re just going to have to read it.

🌐🌏🛸😅complicated and amazing!

1996, Long Island, NY:

It was Silas Gunn's 3rd birthday and a few balloons were flying into the sky.

Peter Gunn observed everything from afar, very moved.
His granddaughter Clare twirled in her pretty floral dress...

**********

A captivating volume 3, rather complicated and very rich in events, present and past, rich in various characters, clones or not, quite difficult to follow in the first third of the book.

We find the characters from the first two volumes, the story becomes more complicated, you sometimes have to go back in reading to better understand the events and interactions.

I don't know if I finally understood everything about the evolution of the story.
Certain events surprised me, as did the end of the novel!

I recommend this captivating reading and series (to read in a row so as not to lose the thread of the story).

A fantastic book to read. Reading about the continuous adventures of Rory, Silas, Waylon and the others as they struggle to find those who have the tokens, the Shadows, the clones, and the unknown of what might happen next. And who is on who's side? The Department of Outer Space (D.O.O.S.), the FBI, the President? And being able to move through space to travel to the Moon, Planet B and across the States in the blink of an eye. This was such a joy to read. Thank you, Nathan Hystad, for another great book to read and enjoy. I love the way your mind works.

Shadows of Earth

Rory decides she’s done with the alien device and wants to settle down. She takes a teaching role and to finish her next book. Silas tries to get back to normal but he and Cody feel the need to see this through and begin to work with Waylen in a new govt agency as civilians. Everyone is looking to Waylen to solve it all but who can he trust and does he want to go through with this or rekindle an old flame.

There’s several twists and turns that come out of nowhere. Can we trust our government in the event of an alien invasion?

With more of the tokens being found daily, enough Deltas and Shepherds for control, the stages were set for an invasion and takeover of the Earth. The plan was in place, thousands of aliens poised on the moon and Monroe had aliens on Earth doing his dirty work eliminating competition. All the true colors are out, sides are set, the plan unfolds. The characters are amazing and fight the storyline as it chews them up and spits them out in shadows. The Tokens comes full circle and finishes an amazing tale. This is a good read!

Well, two sets of aliens are definitely a risk to Earth, Waelen's efforts notwithstanding.
Even my two favourite characters, Rory and Silas, seem unable to stave of the renewed drive of Phillip Brookes that wants the invasion of to carry on.
Pity. Especially with two new characters, Penny and Willow (mother and daughter) having caught my eye as well.
Yes, surprises galore are also happening every chapter, managing to raise one's blood levels to new heights constantly.
Author Nathan Hystad is a pastmaster in doing so.
Enjoy.

This is one of the best series I’ve read. Mr. Hystad has outdone himself, keeping the intensity high for all three installments. The well-written story lines continued twisting and turning all the way to the end. I was completely engrossed, on the edge of my seat, trying to figure out real people vs. clones, friends vs. foes, throughout. I highly recommend this series.

disappointed

I have read a lot of his books but this series was not very good. There was so much filler that this book could have been reduced to one book. The story line wasn’t too bad but could have been much better. Being drawn out made it no good. Maybe you will do better next time.

Great conclusion to this trilogy

I loved this trilogy of the tokens, as I've enjoyed other works by this author. He is one of my favorites and never disappoints his readers. I couldn't put it down until I finished. Highly recommend this series and other works by this author, Nathan Hystad. Keep an eye out for past and future stories. You'll be glad you did!

Trilogy worth reading!

I gave book 3 a four-star rating, because it had to do too much work reminding readers of scenes in the first two books. That made it a bit jumbled. Overall, tho, this 3-part story was fast, had good characters, and wild plot twists. Definitely worth reading all 3.

A fast paced conclusion to a great series. I was definitely entertained.

Lots of characters and storylines to keep track of, but well worth it.

It would be best to read all three books back to back.

Highly recommended series.

The third book is out and it was a fun and wild ride. Lots of surprises, twists and turns and me guessing what would happen next. Had to see how it would all play out and what would be discovered this time. I laughed and gasped and enjoyed the story and characters.

I really enjoyed this series. As always Nathan Hystad did not disappoint. Wanted more with every turn of the page. The description of the action made you feel you were there in the middle of it all.

Incredible series!

I loved this series by Nathan Hystad! I’ll say it’s my favorite science fiction series since the Rama books by Arthur C Clarke. I’ll definitely be reading more of his work.

Excellent!

Excellent trio of books with a very imaginative premise.I Well-written, with multiple twists and turns. Sometimes very confusing, even baffling, but the side stories all come together and are quite logical and believable!

Enjoy this three book series. It was thought provoking and captured my complete attention! I high recommend this series. Also liked the ending because it does leave open the possibility of additional novels.

Riveting, keeps you on your toes.

Good read. Had a minor difficulty keeping all the multitude of characters straight with characters morphing and others moving in and out of the story. Still an excellent read. Thanks

Release June 13

Release June 13.

Many of us who long for organized Space Exploration consider it a positive, expanding our knowledge of the Universe, and potentially providing new planets suitable to Earth life.
This Series takes a much scarier approach: what if something as simple as a Moon landing instead in effect "knocks on the Aliens' door," alerting some aggressive species that's there's a planet, Earth, ready to be ravished?

fabulous

The action is loopy and the characters mostly loyal. The good guys are honorable, compassionate and competent. I’m sorry to see them go.
