A marriage proposal from a deliciously handsome and wickedly charming prince sounds like a fairytale.
But for a nerdy scientist with severe social anxiety, it’s a horror story.
Prince Torin O’Grady, with his mischievous blue eyes and cocky grin, is always in the spotlight. And he needs to marry me to inherit the crown.
But we have nothing in common. He’s a future king. And I’m perfectly happy slogging through mud in my work boots.
So why can’t I stop thinking about him?
Maybe because he won’t stop texting me. And sending me gifts. And making me feel like everything I find awkward and weird about myself is special and amazing.
And there’s also that little detail of him offering me my dream job and telling me that together we can change the world.
Well, I could probably work for him.
And if I have to marry him temporarily to get what we both want, then fine. It’s for the greater good.
It has nothing to do with the way he kisses me. Or that dirty mouth. Or the royal treatment he gives me in the bedroom.
Fine. Maybe it does. Still, it’s only a year. Then I can turn in my tiara and come back to my normal, boring, behind-the-scenes life.
But Torin is determined to turn me from reluctantly royal to royally his.
Erin Nicholas is the New York Times bestselling author of over sixty sexy contemporary romances. Her stories have been described as toe-curling, enchanting, steamy and fun.
She lives in the Midwest with her husband who only wants to read the sex scenes in her books, her kids who will never read the sex scenes in her books, and family and friends who say they’re shocked by the sex scenes in her books (yeah, right!).
This is the PERFECT marriage of convenience royal romance book!!
I was lucky enough to beta read this and y’all!! We get lots of “my wife”, he falls first, boy obsessed, prince falls for nerdy scientist, found family, cinnamon roll hero that dirty talks 🤌🏻🤌🏻
There’s so many things to love about this book🤭 the set up for this series is great and I can’t wait for everyone to read it!
RELUCTANTLY ROYAL is the first in Erin Nicolle's Royals Gone Rogue contemporary series, about the royal family of a small fictional country in the north Atlantic.
Cara may not have a big footprint on the map, but this book? HUGE.
Crown Prince Torin O'Grady has a big problem. He needs a princess. And not just any princess. He's set his eyes and heart on nerdy scientist Abigail Landry.
Whether this is the first or fifteenth you’ve read by Erin Nicholas or Erin Nicolle, you will be supremely satisfied. Readers of Erin Nicholas will find even more to love in Erin Nicolle's writing--all the feels, all the heat, all the heart!
Torin and Abi are the epitome of opposites attract. Torin is outgoing, loud, and attention seeking, whereas Abi literally throws up whenever she has to speak in front of others. The couple have some pretty extensive challenges to overcome, but their HEA was beautiful. I absolutely loved, too, how informative the book felt in terms of farming alternatives, climate issues, and world hunger. I didn’t feel like I was reading an informational article or anything, but the research the author obviously did added so much more depth to the entire story.
Overall, this was an excellent book and I’m definitely looking forward to book 2!
Having been a long time fan of Erin Nicholas and her quirky small town romances, I KNEW I was going to enjoy her book Reluctantly Royal under a new pen name, Erin Nicolle. What I didn't realize was how she'd absolutely knock me on my butt as a reader in the process! Wow. Just, wow.
Reluctantly Royal is book 1 in the Royals Gone Rogue series, and brings us, FINALLY, Torin O'Grady. We've met him a few times before in previous books in the Bayou, but I could never fully figure out how Erin would spin this, or where he'd end up. We apparently just needed him to meet his perfect match in Abigail Landry. She definitely didn't make things easy on Torin, which was PERFECT. He needed someone he was willing to work at it for. Someone who would make him see his world through fresh new eyes, see the people of Cara in a different light. See his grandfather differently.
I can't even fully figure out how to write this review, because I'd spoil everything by wanting to talk and talk and talk all about it. If you want small town in a new place, you'll find it here. Marriage of convenience? Done. SPICE? Check check CHECK. Torin. He may be soft and gooey for Abbi, but in the bedroom? Get ready for a new level of heat in this book that Erin truly knocked out of the park!
Once again, I could blab for a while about this one, but please, do yourself a favor and add it to your TBR now, preorder it, and just get ready to devour this story. I know you won't be disappointed!
I loved this book! The characters are intelligent and fun. The romance is just the right amount of spicy and plot is well thought out and executed. Best of all, it made me think! Lots of romances provide everything you want for an afternoon of escape, Reluctantly Royal provides all that along with the depth many Romances are missing. I highly recommend it.Reluctantly Royal
When I first heard the title of this book, I thought it such a clever title referencing Abigail's reluctance to become a Princess. In fact the title applies to Torin as well.
This new series has all the character and world building typical of an Erin Nicholas book, but also so much more. The challenges facing the fictional country of Cara mirror challenges facing much of the world today. I loved how Abi's studies and passion complement Torin's hopes for the future of his country. Together they help each other to grow and overcome their fears. Their future is bright and I cannot wait for the rest of this series!
4.5/5⭐️ 3.75/5🌶️ 5/5🎧 What a cute freaking book! I loved the introvert representation and how well it was written. Introverted girl genius and agricultural scientist, Abby/Abigail, meets Prince Torin at her sisters’ weddings. Once at one, and another time at the other’s. From the first one, Torin was enraptured. Abby wasn’t like most girls and that’s what reeled him in. That, and people don’t say no to the prince, but Abby did. Two rejections and Torin was smitten. When Abby agrees to marry Torin in a mutually beneficial relationship, it opens a door to new experiences Abby never had and new feelings neither of them have ever felt. It was such a refreshing listen. And the spice good lawd. My eyes almost popped out of my head and my jaw definitely dropped a few times at the pure fucking filth coming from that man’s mouth.
Jason Clarke and Shaina Summerville did a phenomenal job on the voice acting. It was as if I was living that story. I loved the timid, demure shakiness to Abby’s voice and the deep rasp of Torin’s. And in the sexy scenes together…ohemgee. EARGASMIC. They played their parts SO WELL 👏🏼 I needed more!
Wow! This is by far one of the best books I’ve ever read and I’ve read a lot of books. This will be one I read over and over and over again. This book has all the best feels. I loved Torin and Abi together. I don’t want to give anything away. You really need to read for yourself. You’ll see what I mean. Erin just keeps getting better and better.
What an epically royal romance! This book was engrossing from page one and was not easy to set down once I started reading. I had a smile on my face the whole time I was reading unless I was fanning my face, that happened a few times… Watch out for Torin’s mouth, yikes was that HOT!! Abigail and Torin were not your typical couple- he was a prince and she was an introverted science nerd. But when together they brought out the best in each other. Abigail had big ideas in self sustaining farming but her fear of public speaking held her back from taking these from ideas to reality. Torin had the ability and money to make her ideas a reality and in doing so was showing her how much he believed in her and what she wanted. Torin fell hard and fast for Abigail and he showed her loved her but held back from telling her the words because he was afraid she would run. After all she may have done that a time or two when they first met. Abigail felt the same way about Torin but she was in denial of her feelings and never admitted the truth to herself either. Especially since they both agreed that this marriage was temporary, a way to help Torin become King and for Abigail to see her farming project come to fruition. Torin only agreed to the temporary status because he thought that was the only way he could get Abigail. These two were seriously so hot together and I didn’t want the book to end. I am so excited for this new series of Royals.
First of all, Erin Nicholas can do no wrong. This is my first book under her pen name - Erin Nicolle and I will be reading more! I always recommend her books in audio format because they are just that good! You get lost in the places that she has built in her series. I just want to live there!
Prince Torin and Abi make the perfect couple. This for fans of these - He falls first, Possessive/jealous MMC, marriage of convenience, cinnamon roll MMC and found family! This man would do anything and go anywhere to make Abi happy. The ends of the earth, people! Truly swoon-worthy!
I loved Abi’s nerdy side and learning about all the things she did and her dreams to help others. She has the best heart. And she’s a Landry so that will always be a positive in my Bayou-loving-heart!
There is some heavy steam in here, so know that going in. 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5 on the spice scale. This man is a DIRTY talker!
Overall, I really enjoyed their love story and can’t NOT wait to read the next boom in the series. Highly recommend.
I love this new series from Erin Nicolle! Everything about the Royal Family of Cara, is perfect. Torin is my new book boyfriend, but Abi can claim him as her husband.
As we begin this series, we have the marriage of convenience, well sort of arranged marriage, long story short, the King lost one of his grandsons in a poker game. But the betrothed goes a little sideways, and Torin finds himself, the Crown Prince, with a woman who hates the spotlight. I loved everything about this fun story. I am excited to read more.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
This book hits all my favorite things about romance/romcom!! ✔️ ROYAL (a reluctant prince) ✔️ A smart and shy heroine ✔️ He falls first( and what a fall!! Swoon!) ✔️ Fake marriage (at least in her eyes!)
Erin had me falling so hard for Torin and his grand gesture that gets Abi to agree to their terms.
I loved this love story and it made me fall in love with Erin's books all over again!!
Torin was smitten from the very beginning and let me tell you, I was absolutely obsessed watching this grown man absolutely adore his girl. Abi was so passionate about her work and I could absolutely relate to Torin’s adoration. This was so cute!!!
Thank you to the author, Erin Nicolle and The Author Agency for the e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Easy read. I haven’t read a nice fast book in a long time so I enjoyed. Loved the couple a lot. Got annoyed with them sometimes because I felt like it was repetitive at some points.
Sometimes you need a break from everything going on in the world. Reluctantly Royal will give you that respite. Erin Nicholas, writing as Erin Nicolle, delivers a heartwarming, entertaining story with a swoon worthy prince, an amazing and brave scientist, friends that are like family, expectations both family and personal, and a journey that gets you thinking about some impactful topics while still getting our hero and heroine to their happy ending.
It will give you all the feels and, if you’re like me, the occasional small knot in your stomach as Torin and Abi navigate to their HEA. It’s a fantastic start to her new Royals Gone Rogue series. I can’t wait for the next one!
OMG! This book is everything and more! Once you pick it up you will not be able to put it down! What girl growing up doesn’t want to be a princess?! Then you throw in a super hot, outgoing prince?! Torin and Abi were meant to be. They had some challenges that got in the way for them getting right to the happy ever after but it was how they overcame them that mattered.

Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Narration 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧
I loved this book! I am a sucker for marriage of convenience and he falls first books and boy did he fall first. Abby is such a brilliant mind but she’s also so socially awkward and gets social anxiety so bad that it’s debilitating. And it makes her so relatable, not only to us as the reader, but to our super charming hero Prince Torin as well. He is enamored with her from first sight and he turned the charm all the way up. These two are as opposite as two people could probably be, but they also work so well together. Torin needs a wife in order for his grandfather to pass the throne down to him, and Abby wants to end world hunger by building community indoor farms. Torin’s small remote country off the coast of Denmark and Ireland would be the ideal climate for her to put all her research into practice. Will they get through the year of their fake marriage in order to win over the people of Cara with Abby’s farms in order for Torin’s grandfather to pass the crown down to him?
The audio for this was absolutely phenomenal. I was not prepared for how freaking scorching Jason was going to be. Between an Irish accent and Torin’s dirty mouth 🥵🥵🥵 and Shaina did such a stunning job bringing Abby to life. Abby had a lot of vulnerable moments with her social anxiety and I think Shaina did a great job portraying all of Abby, but her vulnerable moments especially.
I loooved this! Omg, I don’t even know where to begin; so I saw this come up on my TikTok fyp, and admittedly recs from there can be a hit or miss for me, but I devoured this, and she is thiccck like almost 500 pages long! While there is a lot of info dumping, it adds to the plot and to the romance between Torin and Abigail, and I’m so fucking obsessed with them; I fear, I’m entering the worst reading slump because of it!
Why did this have me up till 1am grinning like a lovesick idiot, screaming into my pillow because Torin was so freaking obsessed with Abigail.
It was kinda insta lust on Torin’s part, but it also didn’t feel like it was. He saw her at a friend’s wedding and was immediately drawn to her, and they danced, but that was all it ever was because she had slipped away before things could go any further. Two years later, they meet again at another friend’s wedding (Abi’s sister is getting married) and he’s determined to get another dance with her, oh and Torin is of royalty, a prince on a small island of Cara, in the North Atlantic Ocean. He’s also in need of a wife, a princess, as he’s currently locked in an arranged marriage, with a woman who is in love with his best friend. Torin is adamant about it being Abigail, he just needs to convince her first.
To be loved is to be seen; the man freaking built her a farm, because he’s so obsessed with her, and he’s read her academic papers, and she’s always wanted to build a farm in her hometown. She’s really passionate about wanting to eliminate child hunger and agriculture, and Torin sees that, and her for what she is and he genuinely wants to help her. So, he made her dream a reality.
The only reason as to why I didn’t rate this 5 stars is because of the miscommunication towards the end; I thought it was a little drawn out. Torin, knowing how passionate she is about farming, and how excited she gets when talking about it, got frustrated at Abi because she didn’t have the same passion for him like he does for her. And then, in Abi‘s pov, she felt frustrated that Torin wasn’t able to come and tell her that he is in love with her, but felt comfortable enough to tell a crowd of people. Like, I just think they could’ve just went about communicating it better, without freaking each other out.
I did really like the cowboy element that it had to this. It was very different, given that the leading theme was about royalty and Torin one day becoming King.
In spite of the slight miscommunication part towards the end, I’m never getting over this book.
Omgg, there’s going to be six books in this series! 👀😭

Age gap Marriage of convenience He falls first Opposites attract Royal Prince x commoner romance Social anxiety rep
The only mystery for me in this delightful fantasy romance is why the author suddenly felt the need to change pennames from Erin Nicholas to Erin Nicolle to spin off and finish her series about the imaginary royals (the O’Grady family) and their friends from the imaginary North Atlantic island kingdom of Cara? If she hadn’t already written Princess Fiona O’Grady and her now husband Knox’s story or Fiona’s body guard Colin’s, and in those books hadn’t already introduced us to the rest of the royal family and some of their closest friends, it might make some sense to me. But she had, so I am clueless as to the reason for the name change. Whatever. It’s truly not important to the story. Abigail Landry is a true anomaly. Not because she’s a genius who graduated university with two master’s degrees and a Ph.D. by the time she was twenty-three. No. It’s because in an immediate and extended family of charming, extremely outgoing extroverts (including her two older sisters) she’s seemingly the only introvert in the bunch. Due to a combination of her introverted nature in a family of extroverts and being accelerated through school skipping ahead three grades which meant she couldn’t relate to kids her own age nor the much older and sometimes cruel ones in her high school and college classes, Abigail has never felt like she fit in anywhere. She believes everyone sees her as “the weird one.” She’s happy in her fairly solitary life, working in her experimental gardens where she’s finding solutions to world hunger and reading books. She has developed such a case of social anxiety that just being expected to say a few words at her sisters’ wedding receptions in front of family and friends is enough to make her want to vomit. Torin O’Grady is the Crown Prince of Cara. He and all of his siblings had abdicated their claim to the throne and relocated to America. But when it becomes clear his grandfather the king intends to groom his young niece Soirées (Fiona’s daughter) to eventually take his place, Torin agrees to return home and revoke is abdication so that Soirees can be free to grow up normally and chose her own path. It’s not really that Torin doesn’t want to be king someday. He’d love the opportunity to help make life better for the people of his homeland. But his grandfather’s consistent refusal to adopt or even try to implement any of his ideas sent Torin’s flying off to America living there for ten years, where through Fiona he met and became close friends with the Landrys of Autre La. You can read all about the Landrys and their friends and lovers in Erin Nicholas (not Nicolle) series Bad Boys of the Bayou, Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild and Badges of the Bayou series. As this story opens Torin is back in Cara still at loggerheads with his grandfather who won’t listen to his ideas and doesn’t give him any real responsibilities to occupy his time. Yet he’s constantly criticized by his grandfather and his subjects for jetting off to the U.S. to spend time with his siblings and the Landry family. He returns to Autre for the wedding of Charlotte “Charlie” Landry (Abigail’s oldest sister) and her fiancée Griffin. Which quite honestly seemed like most marriages in the Landry family to be a long time coming after their engagement. There he meets and becomes infatuated with Abigail. He talks her into a few dances but then she ducks out on him. Sometime later he returns to Autre for Abigails other sister Adison’s wedding to Michael. Which was really just for show to celebrate with the town because Adi and Michael were already married months earlier when they discovered she was pregnant with their now newborn daughter. Torin hadn’t been able to forget Abigail Landry since first meeting, flirting and dancing with her. Between weddings he had researched her and discovered she was a brilliant scientist working on developing indoor farms to feed people in areas that couldn’t normally grow crops. Which the island of Cara with its rocky soil and harsh climate desperately needs to enable the people to feed themselves rather than having to import everything. He again helps Abigail get through her stage fright to say a few words at her post wedding reception toast and convinces her to dance with him. And then just like at Charlie’s wedding Abigail excuses herself to use the ladies room and ducks out on him and the rest of the reception. But this time Torin won’t be deterred so easily. You see he has a plan to help both Abigail and himself and his people. It seems that years ago his grandfather was drunkenly playing cards with his best friend. In order to keep playing he agreed to put up one of his grandsons to be the husband of his friend’s granddaughter Linnea as collateral. Since Torin is the only remaining male heir to the throne and he and Linnea are now in their early thirties the king tells Torin he has six months until he officially announces their engagement. The king and the people of Cara adore Linnea. Torin considers her a good friend but he doesn’t love her and she doesn’t love him. She does love his bodyguard and BFF Jonah which makes things awkward for the couple since the king sees Linnea as the defacto princess and future queen. Not to mention Jonah as an American is deemed unsuitable for Linnea who is also Cara royalty. Torin sees marrying Abigail as the solution to both of their problems. He’s attracted to the beautiful introvert. Possibly in love with her. By marrying her he removes Linnea from the equation and gives Abigail the opportunity to start actually building these indoor farms she’s been writing and dreaming about but has never tried to implement. When he first suggests marriage to Abigail she thinks he’s crazy. Even though she’s attracted to Torin she hardly knows him. And with her social anxiety she’s hardly suited to be a princess. As Torin patiently woos her and they get to know one another, the idea of marrying him for a chance to help him become king and test out her ideas of indoor farming becomes more and more appealing to her. As does the idea of having sex with the first man she’s ever truly been attracted to. Now here’s where the real fantasy in this story begins. Abigail agrees to marry Torin but she adds a few caveats. They’ll marry in a small private ceremony in the U.S. so as few of her family and friends as possible will know about it and she won’t have to be the focus of some huge public ceremony in Cara. Even though she intends to live with Torin, the man of her dreams, fully as man and wife, she doesn’t want emotions to enter into the relationship. So yeah, they’re going to live together, work together, sleep together (and have lots of sex because they can’t keep their hands off of each other) but keep true emotions out of their relationship. And lastly, since Abigail with her social anxiety issues can’t see herself ever being able to fulfill the role of queen, after a year when Torin is crowned king and her farms have proven viable, they’ll divorce and she’ll slip away back to her quiet life in America. Now what could go wrong with that plan? For a brilliant woman, Abi’s fear of speaking in public blinds her to its obvious flaws. Torin and Abigail falling more and more in love while they make love about a hundred times a day and support each other in every possible way until Abigail finally accepts she has no real choice but to sometimes step out of her comfort zone and accept her role as the future queen makes up the bulk of the story. Hey, this is a contemporary romance with a guaranteed H.E.A. so I don’t think any of that info qualifies as a spoiler. This is truly a fun, sexy fairy tale read with a minimal amount of angst.
**Audio Review** Yes, please, your Highness! Reluctantly Royal by Erin Nicolle was a sweet and spicy marriage of convenience, royal romance that did dirty delicious things to my heart. I was not quite prepared for Torin’s perfect filthy mouth, but did I enjoy it? Absolutely. Torin and Abigail’s opposites attract undeniable chemistry, which captivated my attention from start to finish.
Shaina Summerville and Jason Clarke perform this audiobook in duet-style narration. Shaina is a new-to-me narrator. Her lively, spirited tone sprinkled with touches of vulnerability captured awkward, passionate Abigail perfectly. Plus, I loved her performance of the gossip podcasters too. Jason’s deep slight Irish accent complimented Torin’s charismatic and devoted persona. Plus, Jason’s demanding delivery of Torin’s dirty talk will definitely make you blush. Both narrators created an explosive chemistry between Abigail and Torin.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. If you are a fan of a royal romance with a hot dedicated prince, a hard-working nerdy scientist turned princess, wedding dances, sensual hair braiding, safe words, good girl moments, pink cowboy boots, green rubber boots, island of Cara, farming, all the steam, reverse cowgirl, gossip podcast, a prince charming vibe, social anxiety, meeting the royal family, chocolate covered strawberries, more spice, lavender fields, overcoming your fears, and a HEA that will rule your heart, then you will love Abigail and Torin’s story. I’m looking forward to more from Erin Nicolle.
Two years ago, Torin rescinded his abdication of the throne so his niece wouldn’t be forced to be queen. Feeling discouraged at every turn with his grandfather, it’s made worse when he’s given a deadline to marry the person he’s arranged to marry. Torin has other ideas and they involve a shy lady from Louisiana, Abi. Abi hates the spotlight and knows she won’t make a great princess but she loves what Torin is offering her. So what happens when things turn real and Abi’s forced to make a choice?
Torin and Abi get their happy ending in this standalone book in a series.
Torin was amazing! I loved how much he wanted to help people but also how big he loved. I feel Abi was the perfect balance to him but he also helped her grow so much. I can’t wait to read Jonah and Linnea’s story to see how these two continue to grow and how much Linnea will help in the future of the monarchy!
Reluctantly Royal was a swoony, spicy, marriage of convenince romance and I loved everything about Abigail and Torin’s romance! These two have completely opposite personalities but Abigail is completely relatable with being shy and introverted, completely content with doing what she loves to do and helping people. Torin is a prince, cares and protects the people he loves and his country, knows what he wants and goes after and brings all the swoon with the way he supports Abigail and her dreams. I could not get enough of these two from start to finish and didn’t want to put this one down!
Shaina Summerville and Jason Clarke perform this book in duet narration. Shaina is new to me and I loved every bit of her performance bringing the shy and passionate Abigail to life. She also narrates the podcast throughout the book and I loved the personalities she gave Lindsey and Jen as they kept the island up to date with what was going with Cara’s newest royal couple. Jason was the perfect choice to bring Torin to life, he brings the swoon and captures Torin’s protective and caring personality.

Summary: Torin, Prince of Cara, needs to find a wife to become his princess and he knows just the girl he wants. The problem is that Abi has severe social anxiety and only wants to focus on her career and not on the Prince who has consumed her thoughts. Torin inspires Abi to come home with him to Cara to present her idea of indoor farms to his country with the small catch of marrying him, at least temporarily. However, Torin has fallen head over heels for this woman, and he is determined to make her his.
I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I love how Abi was not shy in telling others about her social anxiety and the stressors that she lives with in front of large crowds. Torin not only saw her distress but tried to help her in those situations, even coming to her rescue a few times. Abi went through such a transformation in her time with Torin, going from having no interactions with others to deciding to step before the people in the country she is now the princess. With the love Torin gave her, she was able to take risks she never would have dreamed of before. Torin is such a cinnamon roll MMC and when he fell for Abi he fell hard. I love his determination to show her his love not just through a gift of pink cowboy books, but also by bringing her dream of indoor farms to life in her hometown. The two might be opposites but they were certainly made for each other! I can't wait to see Linnea and Jonah's story in Reluctantly Rogue in May.

Who knew a royal romance could be so sweet yet so steamy? I just can’t imagine the British royal family having a mouth like Torin (and not that I’d want to imagine that if I’m being completely honest). Unbelievably charming and outgoing, he was the perfect hero to compliment the introverted Abigail. These two just seemed to work so well together, I couldn’t help but smile at each of their interactions.
After meeting on separate occasions at both of her sister’s weddings (and running away after their dance), Abigail is stunned when the loveable rogue Torin asks her the last question she was expecting. From this point on, this story had me full on, back of the hand to my forehead, Regency novel swooning. Torin’s love language was obviously acts of service, and there wasn’t anything he wasn’t willing to do in order to win Abigail’s affections. I loved the fact that he wasn’t buying her Abigail obvious expensive items like jewellery and clothes, but instead invested in her ideas that she was so passionate about. I think it’s one of the (many) things I loved about Torin and Abigail’s story, the fact that he took the time to get to know her and wasn’t trying to woo her with cliche platitudes.
If you’re looking for a book that will put a massive smile on your face, then look no further. Torin, Abigail and their wonderful love story was like serotonin in written form.

A new spin off from the Landry’s of Louisiana has arrived…
Get ready for some royal shenanigans! Erin Nicholas is writing as Erin Nicolle for this new series that introduces readers to the royal family from Cara. Fans know that Fiona, a beloved member of the Autre Louisiana group, is actually a princess. We now find out about the place she comes from, and first up is Prince Torin. Torin is someday King and a natural leader to say the least. He has fallen for Abigail Landry, probably the quietest Landry of all, and convinces her to become his Princess. This is not your typical “fake marriage” it’s all real, just with an end date, but circumstances; their connection and the people of Cara, do not make it easy to ignore the growing feelings between them. Abi is amazingly relatable and fans will adore her. Torin will have readers swooning from the start with his romantic gestures, sweet words and genuine feelings behind them. The addition of a hilarious podcast duo from Cara adds a great amount of humor throughout the book and without a doubt this series will be a bestseller from day one!
Abi is whip smart, creative thinking and dealing with social anxiety. Torin is the complete opposite and he's a prince, so he's always in the spotlight. Ability prefers the edge of a crowd, or better yet, at home. He falls first, and second and she runs away. But he pursues and finds a way to speak her language to win her over. I so enjoyed their meet ups but the best part was on Cara. Erin writes books where I love the characters, their towns, everything. And this one is the start of a new series and we know most of the characters already! But I am most intrigued by Declan and fear his book will be last. Enjoy!!
