Alright now P. Wise got me feeling like it’s no limits on love. Baby you might just be able to find you something real while your locked down. This was a good story had my eyes open to see behind-the-scenes of some real life stuff. But also it’s telling you don’t be that girl who wanna make the extra bucks sometimes you know. Bound to a Savage was definitely a vibe and I suggest you read it.
This was a cute little love story. It was nice to get taken into the prison world/ life and how things would operate. I enjoyed the story more because it was based on real events. Manic showed from the beginning that he was never the one to be played with.
Graduating from college should have Keilani Milan excited but that is overshadowed by the fact she has to self-surrender in two days to serve 2 years in the Feds. Upon the start of her sentence she befriends a few and has eyes for a sexy green eyed someone.
Makhi “Manic” Frost who is serving time in FDC Philly never expected to be captivated by anyone especially not visiting court. Something about the way he locked eyes with Keilani that day he couldn’t seem to keep her off his mind. They say you miss 100% of shots you don’t take so when Manic shoots his shot with Keilani sparks fly.
Based off true events that happened to the author this was an entertaining read. I loved Manic and how he stepped when it came to Keilani. I loved Keilani relationship with Lena. Lena was a true friend/mother figure to Keilani. When others switched up on her Lena did not and she needed that stability in an unstable situation. It was also interesting to learn the secrets side of things that go on inside. I’ll never look at honey buns the same again.
I really enjoyed reading the author's story. It was a detailed journey of how one minute everything in your life is going great, but just that fast, it can all be taken away. I loved how Kei didn't let her situation bring her down. She accepted her wrongdoing and pushed through. Along the way, she met new people who looked out for her and showed her how to make prison life work for her. Manic was heaven sent and the best thing to happen to her. Although he had his own issues, he never gave up on Kei. I loved how they uplifted each other. I was rooting for them and hoping their life would continue on the outside. What a great ending they had. Looking forward to reading about Ms. Lt Grace.
This read was straight fire. You won’t regret reading it. I can imagine that the whole process was crazy for the author with it being based on true events. It’s a blessing where you were and how you turned it around for yourself it didn’t define you. Only thing I’m missing is seeing what Kei and Manic’s life on the outside, i could only imagine the possibilities.
I literally fell in love before they did. 🥰 This book was such a great read. I really wish I could have a #BowlBae outside of the prison though ( I’m delusional. I know…..🤷🏽♀️)
I know Grace was big mad. Lmao. My boy was standing on business and put a ring on it. I love it I love it. Ten toes down is the only way to be. Go girl.
Bay-be Author P. Wise did her motherfudgesicklestix Thang with this one. This is my second read, but first full read with the first being the snippet into this one. I ain’t gonna lie I didn’t think I would enjoy it with the main heroine changing, but I was so wrong. Tiffany needed to be humbled, cause she really let that 🍆 and title blow her head up. That is my only complaint. I loved the chemistry between Manic & Kei. Manic applied all the pressure when it came to Kei. He went above and beyond to show her that he was all about her. Although him cutting Tiffany h** a** caused them both to miss out on time with each other. That time apart only brought them closer, and had him doing whatever he could to ensure that she was good rather they were together or apart. You won’t be disappointed 🔥
Kelani knew she was going to get caught but she didn't know when. I like that they allowed her to graduate before turning herself in. She also knew she couldn't blame no but herself. She knew Brix wasn't going hold her down through her bid. Manic was trying to see what she about before stepping to her. Manic is running his business through hair system. And that where Lt. Grace came in at, she would try run off anyone she thought about getting to Manic or anybody he calling himself liking, he was just using her. She was jealous and bitter of Kei because she didn't have to do any extra for him to pay attention to her. I like how they poured positively into each other. He made alot of stuff happen behind bars. He kept his promise that he would be there when she got out. Thank you for letting us the inter workings of prison.
P.Wise has been mentioning this honey bun and this bowl meeting, so I had to see what was up.
Imagine someone talking through a toilet bowl. And you're talking back to them ... I still cannot imagine it and yet I've read the book now! Lol whew. I love that group. Keep it coming cause I am reading more. Especially this other P.Wise book which was name dropped within this story. That was very smooth, I do like when I see books of the author mentioned in the current book of theirs that I'm reading. Also I thank P.Wise for incorporating real life events into this story. Lena is that girl for sureeeee! She stepped in ready to help Keilani immediately. I'm definitely glad that Keilani had Lena there during her sentence.
I like it for the most part. But I could not tell if this was autobiographical or not bc it surely seemed to be. I’m not sure if this was an expose of the federal prison system or a tale of love found in an unusual way. Regardless of the answer to either of those it seemed scattered and in certain places rushed, especially towards the end, and in other places long and drawn out (some of the letters). Overall I would not recommend this as a place to start for a ntm reader, but if either description I listed earlier is what you like you’ll def want to check this one out!
Ummm I need a part 2 or something like it. I just loved these two for real. The way they were always real with each other and how they saw the best in one another. No outside influence them and u liked that. They got to know each other on a personal level and bring happiness in a place meant to bring you down. Now they both had tribulations but with prayer it all worked out. I just need to see a glimpse of them outside the walls and I will be fine.
I loved the book overall but honest my I feel like it started off slow and ended fast. It was a little all over the place in the end and a lot of chapters weren’t closed in my opinion. I would have loved this to have been a series I think it would have played out better for me. However I really enjoyed it overall. I’m a sucker for a good love story. Thank you for sharing your art with us.
Manic was not playing about Keilani! He was smitten at first & anybody who thought about coming in between them was in for a rude awakening. Lieutenant Grace worked my last nerve. She was using her power for the wrong thing, and it will backfire on her worse than it already did.
Kelani was living life on her terms. She had so much going for her until she met up with a family friend and was turned on to scams. She got greedy and was caught. Sentenced to federal prison for 2 years, how would she survive. She met new friends, fell in love and had unnecessary drama. But she survived! A great read!
Who would expect to find love so strong and real in a place so dark and corrupt. A love story like no other. This book will have you torn. Do I slow down and drag it out because it's so good, or do I hurry and finish to find out what happens? A great 5 star read don't miss it! P. Wise does it again!
This was one of the best books I’ve read in a while. The fact that it was based on true events gave me insight on what really happens in prison. Most have never experienced it. I truly appreciate this author sharing this book inspired by her life’s events. I definitely recommend this book.
Now this is how you tell a story. This author is new to me and I am so proud of her for writing this. Ppl don’t understand what goes on behind bars until you’ve experienced it and she told this like no other could do! I was not ready to finish this story but I did. Great Read!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Highly recommended!! I enjoyed everything about this book. Love how you opened up and let the world into what went on during your stay in prison. Everyone go run and download it if you haven’t!
Kei & Manic! What a couple! I wonder what’s going to happen to Grace? How is Kei going to enjoy society again? Will Manic stay down & make sure neither of them go back? So many questions! Overall great read!
It’s always unfortunate when we get into trouble that we knew better to get ourselves in. But hey you live and you learn. It’s so much better when you fight your way back to the top. This was a good read and I’m glad Kei made it out and has a wonderful testimony to tell!
This book was so good I was reading while at work on the road I can relate because I was gone to the feds for some years and came home got CDL and driving thank you for sharing your trials and tribulations I love your work
Great read from start to finish! Family is so important when you are locked up and Kei had support from start to finish! Manic was the dude, officer Grace was such a fool in my estimation! I can't wait for the next story!
Great read. This was a different storyline. Love makes you do crazy things for a man. Manic was savage and a man of his word. Keilani found a love a an usage situation.
I really enjoyed this book especially being from Chester as well. It was interesting hearing about what truly goes on in prison. I hope there is a continuation on life on the outside.
This book pulled at every emotion….It allowed you to feel every reaction to her pain. It made you cry at times but it was a page turner. I couldn’t put it down, finished in one day. Awesome job!!!!!!
Story captures your attention from the very beginning. All whole love story completely formed behind bars was quite different. The only thing missing was Grace getting n her karma.
I was so happy when they were released but I was not ready for the story to end. I need a part two!!! I truly hate that you had to experience this life and I just want you to know that I am proud of the woman and author you have become.
I enjoyed this book here P.Wise you did yo thang this book here had me hooked I couldn't put it down Brix did you spoil wrong but it paid off with Manic I'm not gonna say too much for the ones who didn't read it I'm excited for part 2
