Amanda Graham’s novel, The Hats of Marvello, is a gem. The story is original, with humour, magic and well-rounded characters. Amanda writes beautifully, and creates a strong sense of place, both in rural South Australia and an English village. Highly recommended for primary school children, and for adults as well.
