Jennifer and Harley’s story was pretty interesting and I enjoyed the family mystery. It was occasionally hard for me to keep track of who was who and who was related to whom, but it was overall a very enjoyable read. Would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys cozy mystery stories.

This Cobble Beach Romance is a powerful, clean and wholesome women's saga that is page-turning with exceptional world-building on Plum Island, where the sunrises and sunsets are majestically painted across the skies in vibrant colors like the rainbow. And the characters are realistic and captivating, while they learn to love and except themselves and the changes that are taking place in their lives whether they are good or bad. Their journey is emotional and enthralling as they navigate through it, Jennifer Gains left behind Plum Island five years ago and her aunt that raised her after her mother's untimely death. She has returned after being a successful editor at a prestigious New York publishing house who’s dragged back to her bittersweet past by a new television series. Coming back is bittersweet when she visits her aunt Betty to find the Beach Plum Cottage in despair and her aunt is gravely ill, she has a nemesis named Harley Donavan, the handsome nephew of the island contractor, sparks fly as their differences clash, Jennifer must confront her past, grapple with her aunt's failing health, navigate the island's undeniable pull on her heart in this exhilarating world of love, healing, and unexpected discoveries, against the enchanting backdrop of Plum Island, where heartwarming strong characters have a second chance at romance if they believe its possible and escape their past, there are heartfelt emotions that will have readers needing Kleenex or Puffs to wipe the tears threatening to spill down their cheeks, adventure, action, family saga, drama, and more that are emotional and unforgettable. I recommend reading this book by an extraordinary author who knows how to captivate her readers' hearts and attention with the cottage on Plum Island and a second chance romance that will have readers also swooning and rooting them on.

When Caroline's books are turned into a TV series (At Jennifer' s urging) she leaves her job in New York to becomes Caroline's agent. The Series is going so well and the connections she has made , have made her decide to return to Plum Island to live with Aunt Betty.(Who raised her and Liam after her Mother died and her father disappeared ,40 years ago.

Great book, so enjoyed reading it that I hated to put down. Recommend it to anyone who likes mystery with some romance. The hero Harley and the heroine Jennifer start out as enemies. It starts when they meet on the highway. Harley has trouble with his truck and Jennifer meets him after she accidentally runs over his emergency triangle that he had put out. After a big argument she drives off. Later she does call for road side help for him. When she gets home with her Aunt Betty, who she picked up from the hospital she runs into Harley again, literally, only to find out he is the nephew of Sam, her aunt’s best friend. Harley with Sam will be remodeling her cottage where she and her aunt live. Such the story begins and turns into a mystery with their trip into Boston where Jennifer and her brother Liam will have blood drawn to see if one of them can donate blood to their half sister Molly. From there the mystery begins. The twists and turns will keep you reading. In the end when you think a HEA will not come for Jennifer and Harley they receive get their HEA after they admit to each other that they love each other. All their earlier arguments were a result of both fighting their attraction to each other. Enjoy reading you will love getting into this book.

This is book #2 of the Plum Island Series. I read book #1, The Lighthouse on Plum Island and enjoyed it, so naturally I wanted to read the next book in this series.

The main characters, Jennifer and Harley meet under unfortunate circumstances. She nearly runs him over as he’s trying to flag down someone to help him. An immediate dislike between the two that later turns to friendship.

Many of the characters I loved in the Lighthouse on Plum Island are back to continue their stories.
New to this story is Jennifer’s father who left his wife and children 40 years ago and is now asking Jennifer and Liam to help his 15-year-old daughter, Molly, who has leukemia and one of them may be a potential donor.

Enter former Navy Seal and contractor Harley’s ex-wife, Angela, who is living in an insane asylum but manages to escape on a regular basis and claims she is still in love with him.

We also have Aunt Betty who is Jennifer’s elderly aunt that she has returned to Plum Island to help during recovery from an injury.

Same goes for Harley’s Uncle Sam who hurt his back and now Harley is helping him as well.

Add in a slew of other characters, some very likeable and a few evil and a couple of mysteries going on at once to round out this story. Why did Jennifer’s father leave for 40 years with no goodbye or explanation kept me turning the pages to discover what had happened to make a man do such a thing.

A love story between Jennifer and Harley warms up and an intricate mystery that kept me guessing till the very end. I enjoyed the story, the Plum Island location and the mix of interesting characters in this fun story and I recommend this book and this series.

Jennifer Gains is in for the biggest adventure of her life. Moving back to Plum Island, her childhood home, she becomes involved in mystery, intrigue and gets kidnapped. Oh, and she has a car accident involving a very handsome albeit rude (in her opinion) man named Harley.

Why did her father leave without a word when she was young? Who is BAD MAN? Who killed Claire and why? What’s Harley’s connection to all this?

I love Amy’s style of writing. She brings many unexpected twists and turns in all her books, this one is no exception. You won’t want to put this book down, so make sure you have plenty of time to sit and read.

Is a sweet clean later in life, small town romance with drama, suspense and no cliffhanger.

Quotes I love -- " I want to get out of here and sleep in my own bed where I'm not bothered every few minutes the entire night. No wonder people don't get better in hospitals. They don't allow us to sleep." ---
"Maybe it's good that the nurses and doctors wake me every few hours. At least I can ensure I don't wake up with a metal spine, halfway to becoming Robo-Cop."

Why did Jennifer and Liam's father leave them 40 years ago? Who's trying to kill Annie? These and other questions will all be answered.

The Cottage On Plum Island is hard put down. I can't wait for the next book to come out. I received a free ARC and this is my honest opinion.

The Cottage on Plum Island is the second book in this series which focuses on Jennifer who is arriving early to the island since her Aunt Betty broke her leg and needs a temporary caregiver. On her way she almost hits Harley on the roadway where his truck has a mechanical issues. They exchange fiery words at the time only to find Harley will be helping with the repairs on her aunt’s home. They continue their antagonistic exchanges until they realize they are attracted to one another. This enjoyable book has great characters, mystery, unexpected twists, past unresolved family issues, suspense, and a rocky start to love. The next book in this series is The Restaurant on Plum Island.

This is book two in The Cobble Beach Romance series. I love all things Amy Rafferty, but this story seemed confusing at times. Jennifer is moving back to Plum Island, because her Aunt Betty fell off a ladder and broke her leg. Sam and his nephew Harley are going to help fix up her cottage because it is in disrepair. Jennifer and Harley do not get off to a good start, can they make amends? Jennifer and her brother Liam are confronted by their father Andrew; who left them and their Mon forty years ago and never looked back. This is quite the tale to confront from forty years ago till today. Love the plot great setting, and strong intense interesting characters. I look forward to the next book in the series!!

Jennifer is on her way to Plum Island to help Aunt Betty. Her aunt is getting up in age and she needs Jennifer to come and take care of her. Sam, an old neighbor has been helping. Jennifer on her way to her aunts house almost runs over a man and they have quite a few words! When Jennifer gets to her aunts, she sees the house is run down and Sam has been fixing it with the of his nephew, Harley. The same one Jennifer almost ran over! Those two can’t get along. This book is packed with so many different characters and themes, you need to read it. Great book. I received a free book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Our favorite author is a genius in creating a story of antagonism into a successful love match. I always enjoy how her stories have a mixture of angst, joy, and mystery, always ending with a successful and beautiful finish. Our heroine is estranged from her father for many years, until she finally learns of the danger from the Bad Men group, founded by several rich and influential people. This will not disappoint you just like all of her reads have done for me. It is very moving.

Plum Island is going to keep me coming back for more. I don’t know what I expected from this book but I got even more than that. Jennifer’s first reaction to Harley is over the top. I think she must have taken every negative feeling out on him. Oh, Harley matches her, insult for insult. There is so much going on now that is affected by the past. We just have to learn the truth about that past. Amy Rafferty outdid herself with this book. You will definitely be surprised by the twists, turns and reveals. I loved this book and look forward to finding out what will happen next on the Island.

Wow! Just Wow.

There were some very intriguing twists & very unexpected turns for this story . And more importantly for the first time in a very long time I truly was shocked to find out at the end I had NO IDEA who the villains were ! This has not happened in many many years that I had NOT a clue who the guilty person(s) were. I'm so happy to say I was wrong in who I suspected & that hasn't happened in many years . I read several books a day & I'm generally correct in my guesses as to who the villains are - but happily I can say I was wrong!! Read it and you Too will be shocked as to who the villain is!

good story.

First the story is written in the suspense style. Where you can’t guess the culprit. It will keep you reading. Second there are mistakes throughout pro nouns are wrong or wrong words so you have to change in your mind to understand. Third The story got confusing and I had to really concentrate on all the players. I still don’t exactly know what family Duncan belongs too. I find my self wanting more in areas like why that happened ( trying not to give away). I might need to reread full story again to truly understand what the writer was trying to convey. Would still recommend just know to pay attention!

I love this series, I get a romance novel and a mystery novel all in one.
Jennifer has returned to Plum Island to take care of Aunt Betty. Her travel to the island was eventful when she almost hit Harley. He's on the island working with his uncle Sam in general contracting.
These two are like oil and water. They are constantly at each other's throats. But you know opposites attract.
The mystery in this novel revolves around Harley's ex wife and Jennifer's estranged father. How are these two people connected? And who may want yo cause them harm?
Great page turner.

Fantastic book!

Book 2 in the Cobble Cottage Mystery series is another fantastic book by Amy Rafferty. Amy is my favourite author and she has once again totally drawn me with a fabulous plot including intrigue and romantic tension. Jennifer, her Aunt Betty, Betty's friend Sam and Sam's nephew Harley all come to life in the book as strong, compelling, determined individuals. I couldn't put the book down and I can't imagine anyone not loving this book and this series!

I read this book as part of an advance reader team and am providing my honest opinion.

Jennifer Gaines has moved back to Plum Island to help her friend Caroline Shaw produce her mysteries into a series. Due to her aunt's health issue, she moved back sooner than expected. Sparks fly when she first encounters Harley, who is helping his uncle, a contractor, and when she receives an unexpected visit from her estranged father. As if that's not enough .... A very captivating and suspenseful read with twists and turns that leave you hanging onto your seat until the end. Received a free copy and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I read this book as an ARC reader. Loving this series.

Jennifer is back at Plum Island Cottage to work on television series with her best friend Caroline. Harley is helping his Uncle Sam fix up Jennifer’s aunt Betty’s cottage. Liam & Jennifer’s father comes back after 40 years of being gone to ask a favor from his kids. Everything gets crazy when Jennifer and Harley go to Boston. What a rabbits hole they have fallen into. Will they figure thing’s out or keep falling….

This is the second book in the Plum Island (Cobble Beach Romance) Series & is Jennifer’s story. There’s plenty of twists & turns in this mystery. Hidden secrets from decades ago, & complex family/partner relationships interweave with lies, kidnap & mental health issues. Pay close attention to the relatives.

Jennifer Gains returns to Plum Island even though she was not keen about it as she had a bitter past but  comes back to help her friend with her television series. Meanwhile she has to deal with her Aunt Betty's cottage which is in need of repairs and this leads to her meeting with Harley Donavan.  It is a intriguing read about  their relationship.  Plenty of humour to make it very enjoyable.  I am on the ARC team and leave a review. I recommend this book to other readers.

A Love Hate Relationship!!

I liked the way Harley And Jennifer met. She was absolutely angry with him meeting on the road her trying to find the cap on her water bottle almost losing control of her car. Later much later they fell for each other. The rest if the book was all about intrege of family matters keeping secrets and lost of life so many issues about a grandfather wanting to control his family even when they wanted nothing to let him control them.

Just finished an awesome book, The Cottage on Plum Island. This book was so good. Jennifer returns to Plum Island to help her Aunt Betty. She meets a handsome contractor and the story begins. Another visitor to the island
Jennifer is returning to the island to assist her aunt. A rather abrasive and abrupt meeting with Haley sets the scene up for an enemy to lover episode. Lots of conflict, twists and turns that you expect from the author, as the storyline unfolds
