Rate this book
Are you interested in learning about one of the most famous late light television hosts of all time?John William Carson, better known as Johnny, was born October 23, 1925. His parents, Homer Carson, worked as a power company manager and his mom, Ruth Carson, took care of Johnny. He was born in Corning, Iowa, but the family would relocate to Avoca and Red Oak in the southwest portion of the area to raise Johnny. They decided to move to Norfolk, Nebraska when Johnny was eight years of age. He was always a young man who was charismatic and charming, and making people laugh seemed to be what he did the best. He was a born talent, and when he was 12 he proved this with the purchase of his mail order magician kit he had discovered when looking through a magazine at a friend’s house. The kit helped teach Johnny many tricks, and two years later, he would perform his show for others, earning a cool $3 for his gig. In 1943 Carson signed up with the U.S. navy. While enlisted he received V12 officer training at two colleges and continued to perform magic, something he had an interest in since that first kit that he had purchased so long ago. While enlisted in the Navy Carson, also participated in another pastime that he enjoyed –boxing. He earned himself a nice 10-0 armature record. He would later become a communication officer with the Navy, at which time he was able to perform one of his magic tricks for members of the United States secretary of the Navy. What you'll learn Who Johnny Carson is- Why one should get to know his story- How he made the Tonight Show what it is- And much, MUCH more!

A synopsis at best of the of the greatest talk show host in the history of television. I had a hard time reading it because of the: poor grammar, atrocious spellin as well as the formatting.

In fact I find it hard to understand how it got published!
