Rate this book
Heiress Millicent Shelby, the younger sister from Book 2, THE WAGERED BRIDE, has been in love with Lord Marcus Clearbrook for years. But being much younger than the handsome lord, Milli realizes she must devise a plan to marry the stubborn man. However, everything turns upside down when a wicked fortune hunter enters the scene, and unless Marcus swallows his pride and admits his love, the young heiress will fall into the enemy's hands...

What a little mischievous vixen Milli is! And she leads Marcus on a very merry dance, trampling all over his emotions so that most of the time he doesn't know where he stands with her even though he thinks he does.
Brilliant romance, well written and very easy to read and follow.
I think I loved this story the most in this series so far.

Milli is very young and, in truth, Marcus is too old for her. Not my favorite.

The story was cute, but the ending needed an epiloge...
letting us know what happens to the family. I didnt like leaving Roderick and Jane story unresolved.

Still clean and romantic and I still like the family story but for heaven's sake is anybody ever going to admit their love before the last 2 chapters of the book?
