Award Winning and a Best Seller, Jennifer Saviano is a crowned Queen Of Slow Burn & Plot Twists by her readers, and the author of the debut novel, Savior, which is the first installment in a unique Motorcycle Club Series. Oh my gosh. This is an intense novella. Great, but intense. There are A BUNCH of trigger warnings, so please check those before diving in. From the moment I picked this up, I couldn't put it down. With the meticulous plan being laid out as you travel along for the ride with Ryder, you slowly piece together what was happening. And the ending? I was not prepared. Overall, a great and quick read.

Ryder has been planning for this moment. She has contingencies, scoped out the route and got her alibi. Now all she needs to do celebrate her friendiversary with Joy the best way she can figure out how. She's always loved alligators (calls them swamp puppies, actually) so tonight they are going to the swamp. But that isn't all they are doing.

This was a really great short novella. If anyone has read the Savior series by the same author, this book takes play in the same world. but after the Savior series. I loved towards the end we got two surprise guests. and that twist did not see that coming. Jen Saviano knows how to write a good twist. The audible was really great. The narrators did a fantastic job. I'm familiar with Paige's work, a phenomenal narrator. This is the first time hearing Ali Dane and she did an amazing narration. Both are very talented. Highly recommend this book.

I listened to the audiobook version of Joy Ride and it was amazing! The characters were truly brought to life by the narrators. This was such a fun story of revenge and it had a surprising twist at the end. I highly recommend this, especially as an audiobook.

Joy Ride was a joy to read. It is going to be one of those stories that will stay with me due to compelling characters, exciting and suspenseful plot, and the perfect building up of the story. Miss Saviano brings in some special guest appearances from her series Savior which was fun and there are some Easter eggs from the Savior series that fans of Savior will enjoy looking for.

Joy Ride is a stand alone story in its own right and the very last sentence will haunt me forever.

A very special appreciation for the narrators Paige, Ali and PJ. It is remarkable how gifted the best of the best narrators can change their voices for each character. Understand how hard that is. Paige, Ali, and PJ are three of the best. Paige and PJ also read the Savior series.

This ride is very intense and exciting. Though it is only a couple of hours long, it is worth the price. I would have paid twenty bucks for this story. I will never forget it.

Jen!! You've reminded me why you're my instant buy, instant read, favorite author! You're storytelling is like no other! This story was so beautifully sad. A true tell of sisterhood and the lengths some of us would go for the ones we love. I'm in tears. But, on a lighter side. Thanks for the little tidbit/crumbs at the end. I screamed. Lol. Paige and Ali were fantastic!! I need Ali to join Paige and PJ in Legions story. I want more. Patiently waiting for that one. Love you, Jen! I'll forever be one of your biggest fans.

Omg this book delivers a punch. I wasn't expecting things to happen how they did. But damn it gave it that flare it needed. It weaves together events and details that drew me in. I was turning the pages, sitting on the edge of my seat in anticipation for what was coming next. It had me guessing all the way until the very end. It's a story the demonstrates the lengths that one would go to for their loved ones and I really liked that aspect of things. I also liked the little Easter eggs placed in this and the cameo appearances of some other characters. This hit me right in the feels. And that ending it wasn't something I saw coming or even expected. A exceptional story that I recommend reading.

God! Another amazing book by Jennifer! This short novella was awesome! It didn’t feel rushed or clipped or anything like that. Such a great story about love, friendship, hurt and the silent demons some are forced to deal with. And that ending! Wow! This was an absolute 5 star read for me! And the narrators were amazing! I love Page and PJ. And this was my first time hearing Ali narrate and she was amazing too! I definitely suggest listening to the audio while reading along! I loved it! Jennifer can write one hell of a book! And the Narrators really brought the characters to life!

Short but sweet

Trying to keep this spoiler free. I hope that this becomes something more...Would love to see an all female MC, Steel Vixens Yes! This is just a little novella. I wish it was a bit longer, but it got to the point. Ryder is a strong character that definitely did her research and got her revenge. Please read the triggers as the ending does hit you in the feels. Overall, soo good! Loved the little Savior cameos.

What a beautiful triumph from tragedy. Jennifer has a way with words like no other. The message behind this story is beautiful and EXACTLY what I would do for my friends.

Looks like Mrs Saviano is the new plot twist queen 😎 I hope we see more of the Steel Vixens too! Noted a few familiar characters…. Can’t wait to see where they come in!

Jennifer did not disappoint with this Novella!!! It had me anxiously turning each page to see where the story would lead me!!! And that twist at the end, didn’t see it coming!! It is dark, so be sure to read the trigger warnings! I really hope to see more of the Steel Vixens MC in the coming books within the Saviors Universe!!

So I listened to the audible version.

It started out okay at first a bit confusing I’ll admit. A bit long winded realizing it was building up to the point. A few chapters in It finally was getting into what the reason she was there for.

Narrater is awesome she spoke clear and narrated each character voice perfectly.

This is a short story can’t wait to read more. Definitely a book with a few trigger warnings but in the end everything happened for a reason you’ll only find out if you read/listen so get your copy today 💪

This short story was extremely intense for me. Following Ryder after she finds out some horrible things happened to her child hood best friend Joy on her quest to make things right. Inwas completely invested in the story. Friendship is something that you have to treasure, even if it means it makes you do things you wouldn't normally do. The last page of this story and the twist it turn definitely took me by surprise.

I finally picked up Joy Ride after having it on my TBR for over a year and honestly I was disappointed with a capital D. The story felt underwhelming and way too predictable. I kept hoping it would surprise me or give me something fresh, but it never really did. I am giving it two stars simply because it is a book and I did finish it, but it just did not live up to what I hoped for.

This was a 4.5 star read for me. I did listen to the audiobook, and I want to give a shout out to the narrators who did a phenomenal job or bringing the characters to life and added to the unexpected twists with how well they captured their spirits. Other than the short videos I'd seen advertising this novella prior to its release, I wasn't sure what to expect. I hadn't read anything else from this author yet, so I won't speak to the connection to the full series. I am rating this based on the story alone and the narration.

The amount of story and character development packed into this super short novella is astounding. It was like every paragraph would give a clue and then make you ask more questions. It was a mystery wrapped in a thriller wrapped in a story about love and friendship. Honestly, the only reason I rated it 4.5 rather than a full 5 is because there were almost too many twists that left me with more questions. I didn't feel like this plot was fully wrapped up, though I loved the way the end left space for more stories to come for some of the characters. It is definitely worth the read!
