Kindle Unlimited, although own 9 of the 10 and possibly some of the sets; wondering if should buy 10 so going to read on ku but first going to read 1 NOPE ALL GARBAGE, went through 10 piles of filth and garbage and sewage. Every story has cardboard characters, unbelievable and stupid nonsense situations, and that is IF can understand the broken/bad mangled sentences of 'English'.

This is, by far, one of stupidest things {ALL TEN} have ever read in entire life, and that's thousands of books across every genre. Did person writing this have English skills, because sure doesn't seem that way, and if it was translated that person needs fired, whoever edited this crap as well because there are misspellings, run on sentences, words in weird places, missing words, wrong syntax, pretty much unreadable mess. The switching of perspective in telling this mess is ridiculous. Switching tenses is ridiculously confusing and definitely wrong. When a 'story' is this bad, it makes it worse if that's even possible, when can't tell who is saying what or talking to or about who. This whole piece of junk should have warning label for graphic crap garbage.

I didn't like this one as much as the others but it certainly had a shocking storyline. I mean, wow. I never would have thought of that. Emma really goes through some crap. That is for sure. The eye ball thing was so gross!!

Enjoyed this book , kept me entertained! However a bit unrealistic on a detail at the ending , which I believe could have been done better ( about the science experiment)

Wish there was a bit more info to what happened to Soren & the others.

When Emma Frost’s graduating class is invited to a plush highly renovated hotel in upper Denmark, no one is the wiser to the real intention.
Only a select few arrive at the hotel, no host, no other classmates, no explanation as to what is expected.
When it’s announced that the host will reveal themselves at the 1st nights dinner, all the classmates become apprehensive with curiosity.
Then one of them is attacked.
This was one thriller that has reader’s trying to guess the killer and their the next move.

This is the first book by this author that I truly found disgusting. I did finish it but am truly unhappy that I did. The whole premise of the story was over the top ridiculous. The Emma Frost series is far less engaging than Ms. Rose's others. Are these revolting storylines typical of Denmark? Since that is where the stories are situated I have to wonder.

Definitely Not Quality

Don’t like to disparage authors but can give this no more than About 1.5*. Even as a free Prime monthly read it was wasted time. Some of plot loosely based on Agatha Christie’s “And Then There Were None," but this was both sick & silly. The big secret kept for 15 years was sick but not worth murder to keep secret. For innocents to be victimized, injured and murdered, without reason, lacked redeeming merit. The last time I saw a PBS performance of 1939 “And Then There Were None” wasn’t that long ago. Good writing endures.

I was fine ig. I wasn’t bored and the plot twist was interesting but like nothing that much shocking and surprising.
This was definitely the weakest book in the series so far so 3.5⭐️

Poor old Emma ..... she just keeps getting chewed up and spat out by the serial killers, but the surprise reveal of the "secret" had me gagging at the end. I don't know about you but I'd be lying on the floor in a fetal position if I found that out! Not to mention the method used for revenge ..... nup, nup, NUP!!
This is an excellent novel in the Emma Frost series - my favourite Willow Rose character. Who couldn't love a woman that cares so deeply for her kids and has a love of comfort food. Never get between a woman and her chocolate.
Onto the next exciting Emma Frost novel!

Oh lord. This one was just awful. I felt like I was reading a script of Scooby-Doo! My plan was perfect till those darn kids started poking around! Miss Rose seriously needs an editor, so many typos and weird usage. I've at least enjoyed reading the other books but I regret bothering with this one.

Needle in eye

For some reason, I just didn't find the usual good twists I am used to, and really enjoyed in the other books.

A bit disheartening

Living all these years with a secret that was worth killing over. Filled with mayhem and torture, there are so many uncertainties. I thought the secret to be revealed after all those years would be a complete devastation, but I was left discontent. Sure, it was a terrible problem, but was it really worth it.

The characters all seemed to be disfunctional and that would have been appropriate, as we all are. But these lot had murderous intent and at the same time, blew these menacing occurrences off; like it was just another normal day. The reference to the book/movie was overused and made it feel artificial.

I was anticipating some tremendous revelation, although from the mid section of this read I already had my speculations on what was going on.

Emma Frost gets an invitation to go to her high school reunion out of town at a luxury hotel. She decides to go and is anxious to see her former classmates. However when she gets to the hotel only a few people show up. Immediately she decides to make the most out of it until one of the classmates screams out in pain. He says someone in a mask attacks him. The rest of the guests start to panic and set off with the hotel staff to search the hotel. At the same time, a terrible storm hits and cuts off any phone access. Then another classmate gets attacked and now they realize they are all in danger. Someone has lured them all together to reveal a secret from their past and possibly kill them all.

My 6P review: Premise, Plot, People, Place, Prose/Pace, Praise

Emma Frost has attended a high school reunion in the Northern most part of Denmark. This isn’t your normal reunion as dark secrets are revealed.

I was definitely intrigued to begin with but the more the story continued, the less I was invested. I felt it was very childish at times and the plot just didn’t deliver.

The setting was great, as all Rose’s books are.

If you’re going to compare a story to the great Agatha Christie, you need to make sure you can deliver. This book simply did not.

The ending was merely okay. I am looking forward to seeing what Emma does next mind you. I’m hoping this was a just a glitch in this series.

My first Willow Rose - won't be my last

Review: This story was easy to read, and kept my attention. Ex-classmates meet for a 15 year class reunion. They realize, no one knows who organized it, invited them, or their host. Of course, there's a secret that several are aware of and begin to believe that's why they've been invited. Even though reading you begin to think Agatha Christie - even the characters see the similarities - it still holds your interest. Several of the characters are really unlikable and a quarter of the way through, you can understand if they're done away with, why and won't miss them.

What a bizarre tale!

I can't imagine long time friends acting this way and treating each other so bad. I can't relate to the levels of pride, conceit and jealousy in this bunch of supposed friends. But their interactions in the setting of a high school reunion makes for a captivating story.

The story is full of surprises. Who planned the reunion? Why did so few people show up? And then when the terror begins, who is behind this and what is the reason. It all comes out in the end, but it is unbelievable that people could be so cruel.

Don't read this if you are at all squeamish at the thought of human suffering. I was glad when the story ended.

Emma Frost review

Once again Willow Rose has added a good new scary book to her Emma Frost series. An invitation only school reunion brings together old classmates and old secrets. Only Emma Frost is clueless as the terror begins and leads to a surprise ending you won't see coming. I enjoyed "Cross Your Heart and Hope to Die" very much and am looking forward for the next Emma Frost book.

As usual with the Emma Frost series, this book has plenty of plot twists and nasty surprises. It also has a surfeit of unpleasant characters. If I hadn’t kind of hoped they would all put each other out of their misery, I would probably would have given it four stars. However, it also had an abrupt ending that seemed designed to just get it over with. I’ve liked her earlier books better than this one, so I’ll probably read the next one.

Willow Rose is very good at writing mysteries. This is no exception.

This story was about some weird people. Secrets are never a good thing to have. They usually get you in trouble.
Every time I pick up one of Ms. Rose's books I know I'm not going to put it down till finished. Read it you won't be sorry.

Went from intriguing to stupid

If someone eats or drinks greedily in any future books in this series, I'm going to scream. Expand your vocabulary, okay?

The plot was interesting to begin with, but got kind of silly. "Boobs?" If you read that far, you probably know what I mean. I was rolling my eyes by then.

Kept me reading. Recommend this book.

Once I started to read I didn't want to put it down. The author goes to the past and then present so it is better to keep reading but it all comes together in the end. Very good book. I have found a new author. My problem is I read some books in the series but then forget where I left off. I should mark them down.

One of her best books!

I loved it! I couldn’t put it down and at first I thought I was going to hate it but I kept going and I have to say it was one of the most creative storylines I have ever had the pleasure to read. The author has been a favorite of mine for years but THIS book was amazing. Thank Willow Rose do a great one day read!

A little disappointed

What can I say about this book, well for a start. A deserted hotel a group of old school friends trapped by a storm and Agatha Christie is mention and this is poor copy of 'and then there were none'. There is Murderer roaming free intent on killing them all and a stupid woman roaming round finding dead or injured people. Not very scary to be honest.

Very disappointed

This is the first book by this author that I did not finish. Got to 40% and there was the F bomb. First time I remember reading that in any of her books. Will not finish or read any more of the series. SO TIRED OF READING BOOKS WITH VULGAR LANGUAGE. Glad it was free and I didn't waste any money on it.

An Emma Frost Mystery, Bk 4, @ / / 2014, Read 8/31/2025, EBK-M, Kindle, Fiction, Mystery.
I read this book all the way through and I'm so very sorry I did! I didn't like a single character, they were all totally disgusting. The grammer and editing was very poor.
So called "friends" attended a class reunion at a very remote setting in northern Denmark, and terrible things started to happen to them. If these people were "friends", you certainly couldn't handle any more enemies!
-1☆ = I didn't like it! - Don't waste your time -- doesn't even compare to Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None", as was hinted at in the story! YUCK!
