An excellent eye witness account of what really happened when Titanic sank. Not entirely unexpectedly, Hollywood interpretations got most of it wrong ... and probably on purpose. Reality was much more sober and in a way more thrilling and scary.
Not only do you find a detailed account of the events, but also a whole list of suggestions for providing such disasters in the future. Some of them have been implemented in the meantime, which only supports the authors competence.
If you want to know, what really happened and who is to blame, this is a must read.
