Rainbow Magic features differing groups of fairies as main characters, including the Jewel fairies, Weather fairies, Pet fairies, Petal fairies, and Sporty fairies.
Narinder Dhami was born in Wolverhampton, England on November 15, 1958. She received a degree in English from Birmingham University in 1980. After having taught in primary and secondary schools for several years she began to write full-time. Dhami has published many retellings of popular Disney stories and wrote the Animal Stars and Babes series, the latter about young British girls of Asian origin. She lives in Cambridge, England with her husband and cats.
Sue Bentley was born in Northampton, England. She worked in a library after completing her education and began writing for children once her own began school. Bentley is the author of the Magic Kitten, Magic Puppy, and S Club series and lives in Northamptonshire.
Linda Chapman has written over 50 children's fiction books, including the following series: My Secret Unicorn, Stardust, Not Quite a Mermaid, and Unicorn School. She lives in Leicestershire with her husband and daughters.
Sue Mongredien was born in 1970 and grew up in Nottingham, England. She has published over 100 children's books, including the following series: The Adventures of Captain Pugwash, The Magic Key, Frightful Families, and Oliver Moon. She has also contributed many titles to the Sleepover Club series and written picture books. Mongredien created the Royal Ballet School Diaries under the pen name Alexandra Moss. She lives with her family in Bath, England.

I’m a wonderful painter — have you heard of me?
Behold my artistic ability!
With palette, brush, and paints in hand,
I’ll be the most famous artist in all the land!
The Magical Crafts Fairies can’t stop me!
I’ll steal their magic, and then you’ll see
That everyone, no matter what the cost,
Will want a painting done by Jack Frost!
This series should be read by all kids..I guess!!
They will find it very interesting

Daisy Meadows and her fairies are my childhood. I collected so many in my youth, knowing all the fairies and their importance, and sticking with the two special girls who go to be a part of the magic.
Years ago I had to give my beautiful collection away, now still part of my childhood school where little girls are picking their favourite fairies and playing pretend. It's fun to hear stories from my old teachers telling me how over the years so many students have grabbed these books and fallen in love with the tales of two girls, Jack Frost and the fabulous glittering magic that is the fairies.
On Christmas last year, my sister surprised me with a boxset of these books, but cause you cannot collect these darlings as easily anymore. I was over the moon!
If anyone has a little one who needs a little magic in their life, wants to read and needs a big creation to be hooked on...it is Daisy Meadows!

I thought Zadie the Sewing Fairy was really good.
Jack Frost's goblins have stolen Zadie the Sewing Fairy's magic thimble and no one can sew a stich while it's gone. Kirsty and Rachel leap into action, and help Zadie find her magic thimble.
I think they are all so smart and think a lot because, they get Zadie the Sewing Fairy's thimble back.
Thanks again, to Rachel and Kristy for their great ideas, and Zadie for her magic.

At a certain point while reading this series with my friends the book started to blend together since each was so formulaic. I can hardly remember the difference between this book and the others but when I was little I ate this series up.

A quick, fun read

2.5 Stars!
This book was decent, I just think there were a lot of missed opportunities and things I personally would’ve changed.
I think Zadie’s design is pretty cute, her wrist pin cushion reminds me of Tyra the Designer Fairy, so I like to imagine they work together sometimes. I just wish that either her shorts or her tights were a different colour because her current colour palette clashes so poorly.
The goblin in the suit genuinely wanting to learn how to sew was a good plot point. Evil but fair of Zadie to say she’ll only teach them once they get all the items back because the goblins never should’ve stolen them in the first place. (I wish they would’ve referenced this group of goblins in the final book just to show that the goblins were actually learning something, like how in Cherry the Cake Fairy, the Fairy Godmother had the goblin from that book help bake and decorate cakes as punishment, and then you see at the end of the series how he genuinely enjoys it now and is kind of good at it.).
Other things I want to point out because they were important to me:
-Okay, now that’s three Magical Crafts fairies that have popped up out of nowhere and given Kirsty a heart attack. (Are Josie, Libby and Roxie the only ones with manners? My only hope now lies in Violet.)
-Kirsty’s dismembered teddy bear looked like it came right out of a horror movie.
-I’m counting the goblin mummy as a throwback to Pearl the Cloud Fairy.
-Zadie’s thimble being under the goblin’s hat all along is just objectively hilarious.

I was shelving books at bookstore's new location and saw this book. Zadda means grandfather and this was so close, I had to buy it to use as a Z book. It may be for young children but it fit the bill.
