This is a prequel, when Kester Wylie was a captain in 22nd Regiment SAS. He is detailed to serve as a bodyguard for a Bosnian General who is pro British, and sent to protect the man during the war. He meets a girl there Kyla, who is a pa to a Bosnian minister. She visits Kester at the front line but the minister’s convoy is attacked by Serbian private militia. Kyla is savagely raped and killed by the attackers, who cut her breasts off and use them as tobacco pouches. Kester is enraged and goes into Serbia to track down the men and terminate them with extreme prejudice. Which takes him several months, during which he finds out where the Serb unit has stored the contents of a big Croatian bank they raided during the war, he meets and collects a few women during his travels and the loot from the bank, He spirits the loot away to Dubai, and invests heavily in Palm Island a new offshore building project buying 120 villas. These he sells for over £1 billion sterling when the project is completed.
