Desperation permeated the air as I dialled his number from the airport, his weakening voice whispering, "I love you," before slipping away into eternity. A single daughter to him, I grappled with the cruel reality of being denied the solace of a final embrace.This collection of poetry, written follows his pathway explores the five stages of grief and my estrangement from my family as a result.

Victoria Reiby is an Australian author who writes thrillers and mysteries shaped by the harsh grit of the Queensland outback.
