THE GERMAN’S OBSESSION

Warning‼️ This book contains abstruse topics such as Dark love, Abuse, Violence etc.
You have been warned.

A innocent encounter with a stranger at a bar turns into a living nightmare for Haile. Little did she know, her drunken ramblings to the stranger ignited the obsession of a powerful psychopath, notorious for leading the German Mafia with an iron fist. The moment his gaze fell upon her, she became his possession. As Haile's life plunges into darkness, she regrets ever encountering this sinister figure.

"I thought after 3months of dealing with my anger, when I finally saw you again the desire to skin you alive and add your pretty skin to my collection would have died down." he said camly looking at me. His game on pause for a second. My heart dropped to my feet. My eyes were wandering between him and the items close to him as I blinked the tears away.

"Sylas- please. You have to understand-" I felt more scared seeing as his attention was back on the board and not on me. Dying was an exceptional thing for me but death by Sylas I couldn't even begin to imagine.

"Sprich nicht."(Don't speak.) His native tongue did something to me. I gulped being unable to look at his eyes even though they were on the chess board.

"What did you think was going to happen Mäuschen?" he asked giving me his full attention. Every Fibre in my body wanted to run, my mind was screaming for me to run but I knew that wouldn't get me anywhere, it would just make him more excited.

"Lay your hands on the table." he commanded moving the chess board further from him. I now wished he continued with his game. I didn't want all of his attention. I complied to his instruction with trembling hands knowing I had no choice.

"Which finger did you use?" he asked casually grabbing the hammer and standing up causing a sob to wreck through me. I harshly bit into my bottom lip to stop the begging that was at the tip of my tongue, I knew he wouldn't listen, he only just wanted his answer but I had no control over my tears.
..

She wishes she never met him, but wishes only come true in fairy tales.

Dark story

Sylas was pure evil and crazy. Haile did the right thing by running. It was sad she had no one. Sylas family was plain crazy. I wonder will there be another book. There were parts in the book difficult to read. If you like dark romance, this would the book, with the exception of the romance. A little lacking in that area.

3.5/5
This probably one of the most terrifying books I've read help. I've read his dark mercy before but I didn't like it as much as the German's obsession. I liked the fact that Hailie was much smarter than Zoe, she understood that whatever she was dealing with, aka Sylas, was released from hell and she had to be careful.

I liked how she was mindful about his anger and did everything to not trigger said anger. Sylas omg, he's crazy, nothing else to say about that. He's actually worse than Matteo and Lachlan. I was genuinely happy when he croaked in the end only to find out he didn't eww. I would have appreciated my girl Hailie having some respite from his maniacal ass but ig that's too much to ask for 😭.

I really liked the jump in narration from the past and present. It really made the plot interesting, with an explanation as to what she was talking about in the beginning when he found her. I liked that writing style with constant switch ups towards her emotions as well. Overall, it was a good crazy book with a fast-paced plot.

Did anyone edit this? Proofread? A horrible mismatch of scenes thrown together with no coherent flow. Too bad this book wasn't written by a author with talent, I think it had promise

This book is so badly written, yet for some reason I kept reading. The author jumps between the past and present, which is horribly done because the author can’t seem to even remember what she wrote two paragraphs before. It’s like the author wrote random scenes and then later tried to connect them. For instance, the lead female is taken to a mental institution to meet with the male lead. The author never explains why they are there, the female just wakes up in bed the next morning. Why did you write them in that location if it meant absolutely nothing to the story?

There seems to be no logic or reasoning done by the main character, the author just writes her doing random things to create a situation that the author wants to write about, but that doesn’t logically follow the story. For instance, the female gets her finger crushed with a hammer, she passes out from the pain, wakes up in a bed, showers and dresses and goes to a bar to drink where she hangs out with another man… in what universe would that sequence of events make logical sense? None. The author just writes random things to put her character in a situation.

It was a train wreck that I couldn’t look away from. The writing was so bad and made no logical sense. It was so odd that I actually became intrigued in what nonsensical event would happen next and it kept me reading.

Crazy, Very Toxic and everything I love..

I love couldn’t put this down I was so excited when I saw a second book from Amethyst Moon I don’t know how long I waited. I read “His Dark Mercy” so many times I throughly enjoyed Dark with or without trigger warning books. This is a truly dark, disturbing and extremely difficult to read everything that I look for when choosing a book. If you are looking for mushy romance this book is not for you. If you like dark, volatile Anti-Hero everything that will have you second guessing yourself this is for you. Sylas is everything you warned your daughter about! I’m not going to give anything away cause I hate when readers do that. Editing could be of some use. The story was so well done I only wish the Past / Present part was in order it took a couple of pages for me to get it. Overall for all my super dark readers this for you. I will be looking forward to seeing what’s next from Author. I will definitely be re-reading this as well as purchasing.

Sylas is insane. Not even like an acceptable amount of insane, but like needs to be shot on site insane lol. I have no clue why I enjoyed it so much considering he was literally so abusive. A couple examples are sylas choking Halie and almost crushing her throat, sylas banging halies head against a glass shower wall because she was texting her male friend, sylas putting a knife in her throat and sylas smashing her left hand with a hammer because that was the hand she used to escape. That is not all he did but definitely top 5 times. I felt so bad for Halie and in the end she had his kid. On top of that she doesn’t know sylas was still alive and was coming to get her. In the epilogue, he was literally saying that the only person that could fix him is Halie. Like dude you were the one beating her😭. Very sad book but very entertaining. It hits different when you understand the cycle of dv and how 9/10 halie would have been killed sooner rather then later.

This is a completely trigger heavy read. This isn't Dark Romance, its pitch black, abusive and psychotic. MMC physically and mentally hurts , not in a good way, his FMC. After that being said, I did find myself hoping hed redeem himself somehow. The Epilogue could lead to another installment. The sexual side of the book was very tame and vanilla, you're not really present for the sex just the start and aftermath.

Best Book

I loved this book so much. Even when I just read the sample on Wattpad. I hated Sylas he was a monster but hopefully he can change for the sake of Haile and his baby girl. I usually cry when I finish good books and this one brought me to tears plenty of times.

Overall best book ever!!

The German's Obsession

This is my first read by Amethyst, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I just wish there was more to the ending... maybe a bonus epilogue to delve more into the reunion and Sylas' growth. If dark romance is your thing and TW don't bother, you should definitely give this book a try.

Interesting story

But unbelievably bad, and I mean bad, editing. Or maybe lack of any editing. Ms. Moonn, I enjoyed your work enough that if you try again, I’ll edit for free. Just let me know.

Good Read

I really enjoyed this book. Shows reminded of a part in "his dark mercy" when he was at Mateo home and Mateo asked him where was his woman. Silva's responded that they were playing a CST and mouse game. Will there be a part 2

Scary

Imagine having someone that obsessed with you? At first it was kind of cute, but as the story went on, I was a little on edge. I could see someone being that unstable in a relationship. I’m hoping for a part 2. I’d like to know how tat would go.

Dark

Well I had read some of this story on another app. Well it was like just the beginning but it was worth finding it on here. It was never dull and keep me interested, but it does need to be proofread a little more. Also I hate the ending unless there is a part two coming.

If you like extremely dark romance, then you'll probably like this. If you've read the Stolen series, then I'd say the darkness level is comparable. The author badly needs an editor, but the meat of the story is good.

I really wanted to love this book because I absolutely adore German MMCs, but the writing style jarred me from the beginning. Solid story idea, however the prose just did not work for me.

This was a story of pure abuse, if we're honest. Yeah, The German (I refuse to acknowledge his name) may have been a little bit romantic, but it didn't last long. I think it's clear here that there is a difference between love and obsession.

Look, I love a messed-up mc but The German took things to a whole other level. He was so cruel. There was nothing redeemable about him. He deserved nothing but death, and I wished for it the entire time. This is a very uncomfortable read, but the story was good enough that I didn't want to stop reading. All I wanted for Halie was to escape.

As I type this review, Amazon just delivered a copy of His Dark Mercy, the first book written by Amethyst Moonn which is twice as long. I guess I have signed myself up for more delightful punishments.
