Unexpected but i actually really liked this!
I'm not a fan of 3rd person but i thought I'd give this a go since it's short and I've seen so many people raving about this series so i was feeling a little fomo but wow.
I really enjoyed their story and it has one of my favourite tropes.. size difference and this one was huge!

This was my favorite of all the giants. They were both so stubborn yet needy. In the end they found there souls connecting. They were just meant to be. I wish I knew what happened next in there cave....

The Giant’s Gift was the perfect addition to her Salt Planet Giants series! This prequel takes us back 10 years before the events of book one and I LOVED IT! This gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me!

Brinn and Katia were so CUTE! Brinn is an absolute cinnamon roll despite working through his heartbreak. (Side note I LOVED the connection of his rejected mate to book three!) He falls hard and fast for his little human and isn’t afraid to show her what he has to offer.

Katia is sassy! I love her banter with Brinn and how she slowly realizes she wants to stay with them. They each fill a void in each other’s lives that they didn’t know what there!

Overall I loved the story and seeing the OG couple. While they don’t live anywhere near the Skarr’s land, I hope one day they make the journey back and get to see all the Skarr/human pairings that have formed!

Reseña — The Giant’s Gift de Sara Ivy Hill

Punto.

🔥 “I only eat females if they taste good and ask nicely.”
~~~
Katia is awesome! She’s brave, strong and knows how to survive on her own. Even more, I loved that she never hesitated to face any challenges thrown her way. And I absolutely loved her sassy attitude and resilience. Katia is a wonderful woman and I loved her so, so much!
Brinn is an absolutely incredible male! He’s sweet, protective, resourceful and I loved his sense of humor. He truly has so much to give to the right female. Honestly, Brinn is a giant (pun intended) cinnamon roll and I couldn’t help but adore every single thing about him!
I absolutely loved everything that happened between Katia and Brinn! Katia is running for her life when she gets help from the most unexpected creature - a Skarr giant. And together they embarked on quite the journey. I adored those two! Their easy banters, the teasing… Oh, they were so adorable, sweet and so much fun to read. And I loved every moment they spent getting to know one another and realizing that, despite their original plan to part ways at some point, neither of the two could actually leave the other behind. And when they finally admitted how they both felt, the passionate moments they shared were so hot. No - it does not fit, but yes - they find other creative ways! Katia and Brinn were absolutely perfect for each other and, after everything both went through in their lives, absolutely deserved to find happiness and love together!
Overall, The Giant's Gift is a fun, cozy, sweet, naughty and heartfelt story and I absolutely loved every page of it!
I liked the story, they were both idiots so they fit well together ;)
Katia killed a guy, and was running for her life from the authorities. The guy was an alien lord, so the authorities following her were winged and were tracking the scent of blood on her. Naturally she got naked and ran through the forest until she was too exhausted to run anymore. That's when our hero found her talking to herself, singing and dancing bare ass naked in the middle of the woods ;)
Brinn was a heartbroken giant that wanted to get his pain out of his system by smashing a few barns and other human-made structures. He was lonely, the last unmated giant female he was in love with got mated to the chief of their clan and he couldn't stand being there any longer. When he found a naked human woman he felt like he had to take care of her. So he did steal clothes and food for her, and then took her with him to keep her safe from the authorities.
Their journey was so cute, I loved how he was carrying her and she was holding onto his ears. Their banter was funny, they were both shit-talkers with hard exteriors that hid very mushy hearts.
The giant Brinn, from Scarr, no longer, because the girl he loved chose the chief of their clan over him whom she professed to love. She was the last free woman in their clan. Filled with jealousy and hurt he left the safety, security and familiarity of his village. While traversing the vast lands although enormously encroached on by humans, this was also causing angst within his people. He hated humans because they were doom for his people. He came across a beautiful but unique human woman. Katia was beside a river, completely naked and muttering and shouting at the sky. He was very surprised that he was able to pick up her feelings. She was afraid, lonely, desperate and full of frustration and anger and pain. This story is underpinned with an unbelievable basis but you want it to work although you know it is impossible. Emotional and filled human fortitude and monster humour. Suspend your belief as good stories enable you to do and enjoy. Great!
It was my first book by Sara Ivy Hill.
I am quite impressed that in such short story author has managed to contain a really decent world building, plot, characters' background and sensible romance. 🤩
Few words about details:
1. FMC is a desperate woman on the run. She is witty and definitely not a fainted heart.
2. MMC is a lonely giant monster alien with sarcastic sense of humour ❤.
3. The plot and romance are fast paced but still logical and bit funny.
4. Spice 🌶 is right on the spot 😉, concentrated on size differences and mating rituals.
Overall it was enjoyable, easy and fast reading.
I will definitely come back for more!
Cute, different, sexy romance between a half-Nephilim giant and a human who collide when she’s on the run from the predatory creatures controlling the town in which she was living.after she defended herself from an attack which resulted in the attacker’s death.
The pair set off together after he rescues her from the elements. As they spend time in each other’s company they grow to trust one another and act upon their unlikely but undeniable mutual attraction.
Quick, unexpected read that I really enjoyed.
This was a short and SWEET romance that had me giggling! Size difference takes on a new meaning to me after this one. Katia is a strong little human on the run from the law and Brinn is a brilliant Giant who scoops her up and takes her in from the cold where they then embark on a journey together before settling down. I loved how they interacted together and they had good banter. I would love to see read more about them as Katia is very sassy which is what I like in my MCs.
(they don't bonk but man they make up for it in other ways!)
This was actually really freaking cute! I really enjoyed it—the characters' banter was absolute perfection and had me smiling the whole time. Even though it’s a short story, it packed in so much heart, humor, and charm that it didn’t feel short at all. The dynamic between the characters was engaging, and the story had just the right mix of tension, warmth, and fun. I’m super excited to dive into the other books in this series and see what else this world has to offer!
Amazing. 5/5
I loved the prequel and learning about Brinn and how he got a HEA even without Briannica.
Katia was tough and sweet and vulnerable and I loved her. The miscommunications weren’t overdone and resolved quickly and sweetly. I loved it.
Wonderful.
Giant. Alien. Size difference. Different peen. No OMD/OWD (mentions of his past love). No cheating. No breakup. No angst.
First book ever rad by this authormand will definitely be reading the series.
I laughed from the moment Brinn arrived on the scene. The constant banter, fake fighting and inner dialogues from both made the book quick and sooo good.
Yep, this author is on my favorite list just cause of this book!!!!!
I enjoyed all the Salt Planet books. This is a prequel and it is both touching and steamy. The way Brinn feared losing Katia and they both hid their feelings for so long. It was touching and I roote for them. I loved the epilogue and the way it was written as an update on Katia and Brinn so there are no loose ends. I'd wish I had my own sweet Brinn all to myself. Very nice story.
Read this for funsies and it's great!
Katia's running away from the human settlements while Brinn doesn't want to live in the giants' home and when they met, they opted to team up.
So quick, easy to read and very fun. Requires no brain power at all, and a great palate cleanser.
A super cute read of a “giant” with a normal human woman. There’s no intercourse purely because of his size, although I was hoping that some sort of magic would happen to make it possible lol. This did not happen but I am gonna read the other giant stories from Hill and see if it happens there.
