"The Long Yesterday" is a tightly written and slickly illustrated book set in the golden age of the Hollywood studio system that starts as a pulpy Noirish crime tale and very quickly evolves into a convincing and compelling time travel story. Readers who like "Chinatown" as much as "The X-Files should give this one a try.

I borrowed the ebook from the library based solely on the cover, so I was expecting more of a hardboiled noir. Instead, it was a nifty short time travel story that felt a bit Heinlein-esque.
