I'm questioning my sanity after reading this sadistic and vile book. This book managed to gross me out and make me slightly uncomfortable so it's safe to say I enjoyed it and it did it's job as an extreme horror book. I look forward to reading this author's future work!
This is an extreme horror story, not for the faint of heart. That said, the premise, though familiar, felt very well done and the scenes that followed the main act were delightfully grotesque. My problem was with the writing: the text was too rough around the edges and needed some polishing to work properly.
I read Daisy's story in the Modern Grotesque anthology, and enjoyed it. This was a good extreme horror debut. The bonus ending was very good too. Can't wait to read more by this author.
