A dark and twisted fairy tale of myth, mystery and magic...

For many years, the Ghost Tree was said to reveal the secret of your future love. The legend has been lost to time, the mystical tree forgotten as the forest grew around it. But some legends are never truly lost, only waiting to be rediscovered…

Six years have passed since Chloe and Lewis went into the forest on Halloween night in search of the Ghost Train…

Now, having moved into their Great Grandpa’s old cottage, they will learn of the Ghost Tree and the secrets it hides within…

An old soul in search of meaning and connection, one word at a time…

Born in South Wales, Lee Allen learnt the power of storytelling long before he can even remember - perhaps even bringing the passion with him from a previous life - becoming an avid reader and lover of books from a young age. He voraciously absorbed fiction and delved deep into many subjects of interest, each quickly becoming an obsession, developing intense fascinations with mystery and intrigue; horror and the supernatural; criminology and psychology; mythology, theology, and spirituality; literature, film, and television. Meanwhile, he had turned to creating his own stories, and hasn’t stopped writing since.

He completed the manuscript for his first full-length novel while still in secondary school, which was later published as his debut thriller "Those Crimes of Passion" in 2012, becoming the first of many books, including novellas and short stories; forays into gothic, horror and crime fiction for both adults and children, each tale blending elements of hybrid genres to explore what lurks in the shadows of the human soul.

Lee continues to reside in Wales with his feline writing companion, immersing himself in imagination and research; stories proving to be the perfect escapism, time and time again.

I enjoyed this short story. It was a children's horror story, and it reminded me of the horror stories that I enjoyed reading as a child, like the Goosebumps and Shivers books. If you're looking for a short story to read on Halloween, this would be a good choice.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. The witch is back to cause mischief and this time uses an ancient tree and a creepy man. The legend is quite sad. I'm curious about the magpie who helped Chloe and Lewis.
