While I didn’t love this one nearly as much as the first one, there was a ton going on that kept me constantly on my toes, suspicious of every single person and being surprised more times than not. And that. CLIFFY! Gah, so thankful the third book is out already or I would be mighty pissed. Anywho, we pick up where book one left off. You know who is alive, albeit unwell, and so are several other missing girls. The bad guys are locked up and motives are slowly revealed. And some of them aren’t what you think, which was a fun surprise!
Katie and Nolan get closer and closer, and while everyone else’s life is falling apart, hers seems to be improving! And then another body is found, and Katie can’t seem to think that all this mess isn’t over. Of course she wants to bury her head in the sand, until she overhears a conversation that threatens to ruin her life as she knows it. I am SO suspicious of Nolan, he and Katie seem so random and surface level, but I hope he’s the real deal. Off to go read the last book as quickly as I possibly can!
