On The Run

In this book we find out which way Alexis ran whether it was to her love or to her father’s chosen. Danny is so thankful that Alexis showed up at his door but they know they both have to go on the run and figure out what their next move is. It felt like a chilling chase scene throughout which made Bases Loaded impossible to put down.

This book is done perfectly with just the right amount of steam all the while had me rooting for this couple. For some laugh out loud moments I couldn’t help but laugh at some of the names Danny came up with for Gregory. I feel so invested in this series and I can’t wait to see where Ms. Suzanne will take us next.

This book and this series—I can not get enough! As Alexis gets closer to Danny, she has a choice to make, and there is plenty of angst this time around. Her father is still a menace, and I need answers, book five can not get here fast enough.

I am not a fan of these never ending stories no matter how entertaining they are. 2 or 3 are ok 4 going probably to 5 is annoying.

The story picked up where it left off, of course it drove me crazy because as usual Lisa Suzanne certainly didn’t disappoint with the cliffhangers… mind blowing stuff.
This story however showcase the lengths two people who love each other will go to achieve their dreams, but at every turn their is always a roadblock and it’s beginning to look daunting for the two people so infinitely in love,
I however Can’t wait for the next book as this ending is a nail biter and Danny and Alexis 9 days of being together ends anticlimactic!

Did I mention how horrible these fathers are?
absolutely love Gregory the better choice of a father and I wish there would be some novella about this silent stoic bodyguard. . That’s how much I love this character.

But listen lovelies.. … stay tune to this incredible series as it draws to an end.
I’m so cheering for Danny who certainly has evolved into an incredible character and is very much the best book boyfriend ever, as he tries to reassure Alexis that everything would be alright once the eventually meet up her horrible dad and Brooks the man her father was forcing her to marry.
I however cannot wait to dive into the final chapter of the next audiobook!

This chapter of the BasesLoaded series takes us on a wild ride as Alexis and Danny try to stay one step ahead of her dad. This proves to be exciting, energizing and pure sexy fun. I loved getting to see more of these two together. They have fought so hard to be together and we are finally getting to see the promise of their HEA. I love a madcap On The Run road trip trope. They hit potential road blocks every step of the way but they have great support and breeze through. I am so excited for the final chapter to see the culmination.

Alexis and Danny are EVERYTHING. I'm not sure I've ever rooted for a couple as much a this. I also don't think I've rooted against anyone's father(in this case, both of their fathers) since I first listened to Everclear. Anyway, this part of the story has been absolutely breathtaking. From Alexis making her big life decision in the beginning to their adventures on the run, I didn't want this one to end. I'm honestly still processing this, but every bit of Alexis with Danny was fantastic. I absolutely LOVE the support from Gregory, Tracy, Anna, Rush and Cooper. I wouldn't have minded more scenes with those side characters. Bring on book 5, they DESERVE the happily ever after

Lisa Suzanne has piled up all the angst for anxiously awaiting readers of her Vegas Heat: Bases Loaded series. Book four is appropriately named after the series AND what's happening within it's heartstopping pages. Hold onto your seat and keep your hand over your heart! Chaos is heading your way!

Yikes! The chase was on as Alexis, Danny and a snap decision took me, and everyone else, on a wild ride with her Dad and 'fiance' hot on their constantly winding trail. With time NOT on their side, this determined couple tries every trick up their sleeves to fly under the radar and get what they want most of all.

Will the last book, Grand Slam, bring closure and guilt- free happiness, with a beautiful forever and ever to Danny and Alexis's story? They sure do deserve that and more. My heart was pounding so hard and my last nerve was frayed at the end of this crazy book.

I read and am reviewing an early copy of this book.

I am screaming at the end of this one with the cliffy! I was in such bliss as were Danny and Alexis for majority of this fourth installment of the Vegas Heat: Bases Loaded series. There was obviously some anxiety about what was to come, and the tension is thick, but utter bliss Danny and Alexis were living in for their 9-10 days away from the world, ugh I wish I had that and I’m not even a celebrity! 😂😂 anyway, in true Lisa Suzanne fashion, she has kept us on our toes and I am DYING to know how this wraps up with a nice little HEA bow on top!

Alexis faced a crossroads...and chose happiness. I really enjoyed this book, seeing Danny and Alexis really blossom and show each other how they feel. I love Gregory and his protective character...I think he and Danny are going to be a great pair in the last book.

If I wasn't in love with Danny and Alexis as a couple already, I definitely would be after reading Bases Loaded. After the cliffhanger of book three, we get to see which option Alexis chose - and she chose right. She finally chose what made her happy, not catering to the whims of those in charge of her career. She chose the love she shared with Danny and just watching their relationship evolve even more...I had a smile on my face for almost all of this book. I also laughed quite a bit, as the teasing Danny did with Gregory (who has to be one of the best side characters ever!)...added some much-needed humor to the story.

And the way Danny's family and friends and Gregory stepped up to help them as they tried to stay under the radar and not get caught by her Dad and Brooks, just goes to show how loved these two are and all the support they will have when everything is out in the open.

But...all good things must come to an end, and that ending...ahh! I just know the final book is going to be explosive once ALL the secrets and lies are revealed. I'm counting down the days until Grand Slam hits my Kindle as it's going to be one amazing finale!

Love isn’t always easy just look at Danny and Alexis as they tried everything to be together. With the next installment in this continuing series, we picked up after the cliffhanger of the previous book where we last saw Alexis as she was left with a choice that would change her life. Now, in this book, Alexis made her choice, the right choice for her, and it led to her choosing once and for all, Danny. Despite finally being together, the drama was still ongoing especially when Alexis’s dad was right on her trail to get her back to her almost wedding. With Alexis and Danny kind of being on the run, the two lovers had to hide away for a bit, and in that time found peace and solace with one another. Lisa Suzanne brought even more romance, spice, angst, and a touch of drama to tell Alexis and Danny’s story.

At this point, I shouldn’t be surprised when I see a cliffhanger at the end of Lisa Suzanne’s books, but…THAT LAST CLIFFHANGER HAD ME! With the way things went down in the previous book, I wasn’t sure what Alexis was going to do, but thankfully she made her choice, and straight away went to Danny. For all the things Alexis had done for her career, she never truly got much of a choice when it came to living her life how she wanted. Danny became her best friend, her biggest supporter, introduced her to his family, and they welcomed her as one of their own. In the end, Alexis made the decision to put herself first instead of doing what made her father happy. The way Alexis was so happy being with Danny made me happy for her, and you could just see that even with the looming threat of her dad potentially finding her, Alexis made the time with Danny well worth it.

My goodness, Danny and Alexis were legit on the run with the way they kept having to be on the go and avoid getting caught by Alexis’s dad! The drama ensued curtesy by Alexis’s Dad and yet again Danny’s Dad as well. You’d think that both Dad’s would want their children to be happy, but…NOPE! When it came to manipulation, Alexis’s and Danny’s dad’s were the those that used that. (Sigh) all Danny and Alexis wanted was to live happily ever after, and even on the way down the aisle, they still had major roadblocks to overcome in order to execute their plan. In terms of how this book played out, I was a bit on edge, worried, and definitely reading page to page to see what else would happen!!!!

Once again, another quick and entertaining story. I’ll admit that the previous book in the series was my least favorite, but it redeem itself with this book. This story really showed the amount of effort and lengths both Alexis and Danny went to in order to make the relationship official in every way possible. Didn’t expect the series of events to unfold in this book, but oh man it was good! I really enjoyed seeing Alexis and Danny’s relationship become even more supportive and loving with each other especially with all the stress and basically being on the run from Alexis’s dad. No matter what, Danny and Alexis were determined to secure their happy ending even with the looming threat of both Danny and Alexis’s father’s hanging over them, they had each other in the midst of all the drama. Surprise, surprise another dramatic cliffhanger!! Ahhhh! Legitimately, don’t know how the last book is going to turn out, but I can only imagine it’ll involve even more drama, some angst, romance, spice, and more. Highly recommend this book/ series of you’re looking for a fast paced sports romance with tropes from bad boy/good girl, she’s a pop star singer, and he’s a professional baseball player, and more!

This is going to be really difficult to review,because I don't want to give any of the plot away,and I fear I might if I start blabbing on about the story too much.
If you have ever read any of my reviews before you will know I tend to go over the story and what it is about...I can't seem to stop myself but I am going to try very hard not to.
Bases Loaded is book number 4 and the continuation of the secret relationship between the bad boy of Baseball Danny and Singer,Actress and America's sweetheart Alexis.
When we left Danny and Alexis she was on the brink of Marrying another man and she had a decision to make.Choose Danny the man she loves or Brooks the man her father wants her to marry and have a fake marriage for a year or 2.
This book is the aftermath of the choice she makes and the consequences of that..So you see I don't want to give a hint of who she decides to go to.
But Alexis and Danny have quite the adventure in this book and the steam still makes an appearance between them.
Both Alexis's dad and Danny's dad are still has awful as ever and very selfish..The only support Alexis has is Gregory her bodyguard.
I LOve Gregory we all need a loyal Gregory in our lives and I am glad he may be getting some action with Danny's Mum..
This story is quite the rollercoaster of sexy moments,sweet moments,emotional moments and OMG What moments.
The Narration by Avery Reid and Scott Rose is as riveting as always and they are ideal for telling Alexis and Danny's story..Their voices are perfect...I love listening to them.
Lisa Suzanne does her signature move of leaving the book on a cliffhanger,when Alexis makes an appearance at a red carpet event and Danny,Brooks and her father are all there...What will happen when they all clash and hash everything out.Because Alexis has made a choice for herself for once in her life without her Dad's permission.
Danny is as smitten as ever but he worries that his affair with Alexis will paint him in a bad light and he will become what he hates the most.."The other man" the relationship destroyer.
I DO LOVE Danny..he has definately changed...Alexis is becoming more outspoken...And the love they share is getting stronger despite all the things that they are facing.
Bases Loaded is the perfect book before the conclusion to Danny and Avery's romance and I really enjoyed listening to it.
I can't wait for book 5.

Lisa takes us on another emotional rollercoaster. Twists, turns & all the upside downs. Caution...Bumpy ride ahead! 💥

This one gives me major Jack & Kate vibes as Danny's heart and ours slowly breaks 💔

Alexis has a tough choice to make. Left or Right. Which door should she choose? Just as time is about to run out, Alexis makes her choice... Run! Run towards true love. Run towards a future that's of her choosing, not something forced upon her by her father. Run as fast & far away as she can get without looking back.

With a little help from Gregory, the only person on the inside that she can trust, she runs straight into Danny's waiting arms. Together they choose to run. Run from the life created for her by other people. Run towards a life meant for just the two of them.

As they travel further away from LA, they begin bonding even more, both physically and emotionally. They solidify what they want & need from one another. With such a short amount of time alone, they make every second count and as her father barrels down on them, it takes everyone they love & trust to help them stay one step ahead.

Important life altering decisions and lasting memories are made as they remain in the bubble in which they created. But with the mounting anxiety, pressures and outside forces pushing in on them from both sides, once again, will they crumble or will they hold strong together?

One step back into the spotlight on Christmas Eve, together, could make or break it all. Everything they've built together in such a short amount of time. The future they tried so hard to secure. What awaits them on the other side?

And what exactly are her father & Brooks up to? Something isn't right with those two. And as control has slipped through their fingers, what comes next? When the caged bird has finally clipped her own wings, how do you regain control? Something dirty & sinister is on it's way, I can feel it in my bones....

Once again, Lisa has us on the edge of our seats screaming for more, proving why she's the Queen of the cliffhanger... 😰

Alexis is faced with a big decision. Should she marry Brooks that her father insists is what is best for her and her ‘brand’. Should she run to Danny and do what she feels is right in her heart and mind is best for her? Will her father honor the verbal agreement to turn over her master copies of her music, allow her to divorce Brooks after a year and the merger of the two talent agencies is completed?
It is time to do something for herself, Caroline Alexis Bodega. She chooses Danny. She asks Gregory to help her escape on her Wedding Day to Brooks. She removes an engagement ring that means nothing and leaves the hotel and runs to Danny.
Danny is miserable. He gave Alexis is blessing and the promise to wait until she can be free. He can’t eat or sleep. He knows he cannot call her so he does the next best thing and sends bacon. How can two people who absolutely love each other end up in this situation?
Then Danny hears a knock on the door. Alexis chose him. They have nine days together before Alexis has to appear for a Christmas Eve Special. They ditch the wedding dress and make their escape.
They end up at a home rental in Carmel on the beach with a balcony and a rooftop deck. This is something for just the two of them for the next few days they are just two people desperately in love. Danny has a sweet and romantic proposal and they decide to marry. With the iconic Norah Jones singing “Come Away with Me”.
Gregory walks her to her groom; he is much like a father to her than her father. They get married.
Everything is going their way. Danny and Alexis wonder why is this merger and control of Alexis is so important. Could there be some financial incentive for her father? Soon they will have to face her father, Brooks and the merger.
Then Danny’s father threatens him again. Gregory says her will neutralize the threat. Will that be enough?
They are so happy but know that reality will come soon. Can they survive this together the “Bad Boy of Baseball and America’s Sweetheart Pop Princess? This was a fast rollercoaster ride of Danny and Alexis evading her dad and Brooks at each turn. Bring on the next and final book, please.

Book 4 picks up right at the wedding day for Alexis and Danny being nauseous at the thought of her marrying another man. Danny does not know what to do – he is in the same town as the wedding and at the hotel waiting to hear from Alexis. Alexis hatches a plan and she takes Gregory’s (her bodyguard and only true friend) car & leaves wedding, leaving Brooks and her dad without any answers.

She asks Gregory to tell her dad that she stole his keys and car when he left the room. And that she sent him a text and told him that she will be back for her Christmas Eve performance.
She shows up at Danny’s hotel room and they know they only have one hour before it all blows up. What is their game plan – they don’t know but they need to get moving. Danny literally rips her wedding dress off of her and try to leave the hotel. It ends up that her dad, Gregory, and Brooks are already in the parking lot of the hotel. They sneak out the back and head the opposite direction that anyone would suspect them.

Danny’s mom helps them go on their adventures throughout the state of California and the “normal” things that they have enjoyed doing, including getting married. Alexis is amazed how each day that they are together, the closer she gets to the real person she wants to be. How does she keep this feeling and get back into her profession as a singer without damaging her brand. But then she starts to wonder, does she really care about her brand/image anymore?

The adventures and special times together that these two experience are both sweet and swoony but hot and spicy as well. It was great to see her experience so many “normal” life things that she never had a chance to do before.

The end of this book finds them back in LA and her getting ready for her Christmas Eve concert and ready to confront Dad & Brooks.
Cannot wait for Book 5 – Lisa Suzanne knows how to build suspense!

Bases Loaded (Vegas Heat: Bases Loaded #4) by Lisa Suzanne is part four of a five-part contemporary sports romance serial and ends with a cliffhanger. Told in first person dual POV, this installment includes the following tropes: celebrity (pop star w/ baseball player), instalove, and forbidden romance. The story follows the relationship between bad-boy professional baseball player Danny Brewer and “America’s Sweetheart” pop princess Alexis Bodega after they meet when she performs the National Anthem on Opening Day.

This book picks up right where the previous one ended, with Alexis at a crossroads: She literally must choose between two life-altering doors. Will she keep the promise she made to her father to marry Brooks and continue her sham relationship? Or will she follow her heart and choose the door that leads to a life with Danny? And if Alexis and Danny run away together, how long will they be able to evade her father? What will happen when the truth finally comes out?

I loved this fourth installment of Alexis and Danny’s story! I had begun to grow frustrated with Alexis “crying trapped” while she refused to do anything to help free herself, but in this book, she FINALLY takes action. Granted, she runs, so it’s sort of a cowardly action, but at least she’s not sitting around waiting for somebody to come solve all her problems for her. Halle-freakin-lujah!

This installment leaves us with Alexis and Danny finally ready to face the world together as a couple, regardless of the consequences. And with Alexis’s father pushing her to marry Brooks, and Danny’s father extorting him for money, you can bet there will be consequences—and I can’t wait to find out why! I’m looking forward to getting answers and finding out how it all ends in Grand Slam, the last book of this series.

Danny and Alexis are back with the penultimate book from Lisa Suzanne’s Vegas Heat: Bases Loaded series.
Book 4 Bases Loaded continues from right off of the cliffhanger of book 3 On Deck.

With a combination of a runaway bride, a secret boyfriend, a getaway car and an undisclosed location, was it any surprise that the narrative of Bases Loaded led you upon a whirlwind adventurous ride.

Following Danny and Alexis on their adventure may have been tension filled.
The unknowing of how long it would last, whether they would get caught out before they expected from all that they left behind catching up to them. And more drama ensuing from what was yet to still be dealt with. In Danny’s case his dad and blackmailing.
However simultaneously their adventure brought on moments of joy, laughter, love, happiness and passion, if the steamy heat was anything to go by.
It was sweet, cute and romantic, following along in those times shared between Danny and Alexis in their relationship, seeing it flourish even more than ever, their connection growing stronger bringing them closer together than can be.
Ultimately resulting in a lot of moments that had you swooning from the lovey dovey gushy-ness.

It was suspenseful building majority of the way through, always having you on the edge of your seat from not knowing what to expect next with Danny and Alexis in each page turn.
Add to that the major angsty-ness that came about from the many challenges that the couple seemed to face and attempted to overcome. But with the threats to their relationship, it was no wonder it led to a sense of foreboding doom that seemed to be on the horizon for the couple, bringing forth some intensity.

Whilst the ending of Bases Loaded may have been tame in comparison to the previous cliffhangers.
Nonetheless it still left you buzzing from leaving you waiting in anticipation for what will be for Danny and Alexis in the final conclusion to Lisa Suzanne’s Vegas Heat: Bases Loaded series with the finale Gram Slam.

We all make choices in our lives. Heck, didn’t Robert Frost write “The Road Not Taken”, all about making choices and living with the consequences while understanding the decisions that now come from those choices.

As this story opens, Alexis is making what will be a life impacting choice—should she stay with Brooks and go forward with her wedding (thereby pleasing her father) or go with her heart and be with Danny.

I don’t want to give away too much but do want to say that this series is my favorite thus far from Lisa Suzanne. Where her last series had doom at every turn which kept us engaged, THIS SERIES is lighter, giving us love and hope while forging ahead and battling the “doom and evil” together. I found myself looking forward to each installment with the hope that Alexis and Danny get their peace, to move forward in their lives. We see such glimpses of joy, dedication to each other which, as a reader, then makes me feel better. They are good people, and we want good for them.

The overarching question is: why does Alexis’ father want this merger so badly? Is he in financial trouble? I wonder: did he overextend financially against her Brand? And what does Brooks have as a stake in this? It doesn’t make sense that he seems uninvolved, yet hangs around—was he promised money or a position in her father’s new company? I’m waiting impatiently for the final book “Grand Slam”, as her father will most probably ‘tip his hand’ and a possible House of Cards he has created comes toppling down.

Audio Review:

I need book 5 like yesterday Lisa! Okay this series is killing me waiting for the next installment. Alexis and Danny finally did what I have been screaming for them to do for a few books now and I'm giddy with excitement. I know that this is not the only twist or turn that Lisa will throw my way, but I remain hopeful these two will get that happily ever after they deserve. I am so thrilled to see Danny reformed play boy find that missing piece in his life and how he handles her with care to make sure her best interest are at heart. This couple is perfect together and Lisa you write the most amazing couples I see.

Narrator aspect Avery Reid and Scott Rose continue to bring in the heat with this performance and just slays the characters and their emotions and reactions. They were perfect for this role and I can't wait to see/ listen to them in book 5.

Things are getting so good that something has got to go wrong...

Bases Loaded is the 4th book in the Vegas Heat: Bases Loaded series by Lisa Suzanne and oh be still my heart because I don't know how I'm surviving this! As always with these saga type series that Lisa creates, these books must be read in order because we are picking right back up where my heart lodged in my chest at the end of book 3, On Deck.

In this book we get to see Alexis make the decision that everyone was begging her to make on whether to stay or run fast and far from the disaster of a wedding that her father had orchestrated. There is so much excitement, love, and sexiness taking place between Alexis and Danny that for a split second I can forget all the drama that is following them. But alas- it can't be that simple because Lisa has my anxiety ramping up as these two bounce between bliss and fear of being caught. At about 70% I could literally feel my heart start racing because things were just too perfect and beautiful.

All I can say is thank the Lord for Gregory- that man is going to win MVP in this series!

The end is so close I can almost see the finish line- I absolutely cannot imagine how this HEA is going to wrap up here in book 5, Grand Slam- but I do know that Lisa hasn't left me hanging so far so I have faith that she is going to give Alexis and Danny the best ending and probably find some way to redeem the people I can't stand since she likes to be an angel like that 🤪

The bases are loaded, and Alexis decides to run….and run straight to Danny and away from Brooks and her father. I don’t think I cheered so hard for a character in a long time and Alexis pulling up her big girl panties and making the hard decision to go for what her heart wants made me fist pump in the air!

I love that Gregory has stepped up more to support Alexis as she needs all the support she can get. Her own team of people are working against her, and she still can’t figure out why and there is a big question as to why her father is pushing so hard for her to marry Brooks. Something just isn’t right and it’s driving me crazy with anticipation.

Danny’s mother also stepping up to help her son and the love of his life just makes getting to know the side characters so much more important as the story goes on. And Danny’s mother and Gregory getting all “cozy” just adds to the top of the cake for me.

Danny and Alexis bond during their escape from her father and decide to make the leap and get married. Alexis gets to plan a super fast wedding to Danny but it is everything she wanted and their vows are oh so romantic (swoon). However their time is running out and at every turn, her father is closing in on them and threatens their little happiness bubble. So for the Christmas Eve performance, they have to return to the real world but iti is unknown to the world that they are coming out as Mr and Mrs Brewer, I am scared to see what awaits them.

Omg the moment this book hit my phone I ran to find out what choice Alexis was going to make! Of course, my girl pulled through and made the right choice! LOVE!

This book was fun and spicy! It shows our two lovebirds on the run, making their way up and down the coast, hiding in plain sight and letting themselves fall even more madly in love with each other. The choose each other in the best ways and all of their supportive family and friends are their accomplices as they get closer and closer to Christmas eve where Alexis will have to "face the music". Danny's unwavering love and support for Alexis is the good, juicy stuff the best book boyfriends are made of. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE that Alexis is finally standing on her own two feet, recognizing her worth and fighting for the future that SHE wants.

Brooks and her father are on their heels the entire time and I am curious as to how they keep finding them and what their motivation is to be insistent on the merger going through. There are loose ends here with both their fathers and scheming behind their backs that I cannot wait to see unravel!

Avery and Scott are so talented and bring an intensity to the heightened emotions happening in the story. Their performances are top notch and I cannot wait for them to finish out the series strong!

Narrated by Avery Reid and Scott Rose stellar brought life to the characters which gives Danny and Alexis story more depth and emotions as these characters fight to be together.

The story picks up where the crazy cliffhanger left off. This story shows you that love can conquer all. What Danny and Alexis go through because they love each other and it seems the for every step forward they hit a roadblock and it’s beginning to look bleak for the lovebirds. 

These two got stuck with the worst humans possible for  fathers. Alexis has been backed into a corner as she is contemplating between two doors. Behind door number one is the man her father is pushing her to marry, the man who’s good for her brand and her future. Behind door number two is the bad boy of baseball who happens to be the love of her life. Danny and Alexis begin their 9 day adventure on the run from her father they get to spend more time together,  with their support  system and maybe do other things. I love their support system Gregory, Tracy, Anna, Rush and Cooper.  Bring on book 5 and their HEA!

Reality comes crashing down as Alexis and Danny hit the red carpet for the Christmas Eve show, where Alexis is to sing and see Brooks and her dad standing there waiting. Is Alexis willing to give up Danny for her “brand” and career? Will Alexis’ career be over? Can she escape the chokehold her dad has over her career and life? This is the 4th book in the series (Vegas Heat Bases Loaded). Before you start this book, read the other books in the series (Scoring Position, Caught Looking, and On Deck). You won’t be disappointed.

This book picks up where On Deck left the reader hanging. Alexis makes a decision and picks her path. She picks love over her sense of duty. Danny and Alexis, with some help from Gregory and Danny’s mom, decide to run. While on the run, they continue to build their relationship. Even as their bond grows stronger, they wonder what the future holds for them.

There’s some unanswered questions….What are Brooks and her father up to? What is the real reason behind the merger? How will daddy dearest react when he sees Alexis in person? Is Danny and Alexis’ relationship strong enough to survive the public?

I couldn’t put this book down and finished it quickly. This book (really series) is for you if you like the following: sports romance, secret relationships, or bad boy/good girl. While I enjoy all of Lisa Suzanne’s books, this series is one of my favorites. It has a lighter vibe and less stumbling blocks than other series. Characters from other series are mentioned…which I love.

This is the fourth book in the series, and you must read the books in sequence. This one picks up right where book three left off. Alexis finds herself at a crossroads. She is torn between her father's expectations, who wants her to marry Brooks, a man she does not love, and her desire to be with Danny, the man she loves. Her father insists that marrying Brooks is the best thing for her 'brand.' Although Alexis has always followed her father's advice, she is struggling with marrying a man she doesn’t love just for the sake of business. She runs away before the ceremony on her wedding day and reunites with Danny. With the help of their supportive family and friends, they elude Brooks and Alexis's father, who are trying to track them down. The couple finally decides to get married on a beautiful beach in an intimate ceremony before Alexis's father and Brooks catch up to them. However, their happiness is short-lived as Danny's father threatens him, creating more drama and tension in their lives. As the story unfolds, Alexis and Danny's love is tested in ways they never imagined. I eagerly anticipate the series's final installment to see how Alexis and Danny overcome the obstacles and finally achieve their happily ever after.
