At the end of book 2/4, I'm still waiting for the series to start.

3,5☆ Realmente
Me ha gustado menos que el anterior, pero aún así lo he disfrutado mucho. Samanta se ve metida en un buen problema y todos a su alrededor tienen que unir fuerzas para ayudarla a salir de el, lo cual nos regala alianzas tan extrañas como las de un nacido ángel y un demonio.
Necesito leer más y es que nunca pensé que Faris fuese a importarme tanto, que "las mujeres" del abuelo me dieran tanta curiosidad, o que los robos de Poe despertaran mi interés.
Aún así, en esta historia hay cosas que no se profundizan (Podemos hablar del demonio no demonio capaz de moverse entre dimensiones... datos, necesito más datos sobre él) o bien que ocurren demasiado rápido (me estas diciendo que luego del shock de saber la identidad del vampiro, todo acaba en un capítulo y de una forma bastante meh?) Y eso ha sido principalmente lo que me ha hecho bajarle la nota.
No obstante, tengo muchas ganas de seguir con la tetralogía que ha sido sin dudas un gran descubrimiento

What's not to love about this series? It's actin packed, unpredictable and just a pleasure to read! I just love Sam, and the banter with Poe and Feneris is witty and charming. Everything I had hoped for in this book. I can't wait to see what's to come next in this series!

Petite déception pour ce second tome, même si la partie action dans le monde des enfers était une nouveauté bien gérée. C’est notre héroïne qui m’a fait grincer des dents, ce qui est assez rare dans les séries de cette auteure.
J’ai trouvé qu’elle en faisait beaucoup trop dans l’apitoiement sur son manque de magie, les passages étaient vraiment redondants et franchement pas utiles. La voir sans arrêt se plaindre devenait lassant, heureusement l’intrigue et la présence de Logan et Faris sauvent l’ensemble.

Demoni e Amuleti è il secondo volume de Il Caso Oscuro di Kim Richardson.
La nostra streghetta Sam è sopravvissuta allo scontro con il demone maggiore Vargal. Sperava di poter riprendere la sua vita di cacciatrice di malvagi esseri soprannaturali, dopo tutto è un’incantatrice oscura… troppo presuntuosa e saccente per i miei gusti.
Si sbaglia di grosso, i suoi guai non sono finiti. Il consiglio delle streghe le affida l’incarico di trovare il responsabile degli inspiegabili omicidi che stanno affliggendo New York. Lei accetta per dare sfoggio della sua superiorità magica, tiratela anche meno cara ragazza.
Come se non bastasse, a distrarla dal suo lavoro c’è Logan, l’angelo nato che continua a piombare nella sua vita senza preavviso, mandandola in brodo di giuggiole con un solo sguardo. A me lui non piace proprio, è sì forte, sexy, e affascinante ma è strano, superficiale e a volte pensa solo a salvarsi la pelle.
E non finisce qui. C’è qualcosa, o meglio, qualcuno di ancora più malvagio che sta dando la caccia proprio a Sam in cerca di vendetta. Riuscirà miss so-tutto-io a farcela anche questa volta?
Fra viaggi all’Inferno, combattimenti infiniti, pippe mentali assurde, questo urban fantasy non mi piace. C’è troppa carne al fuoco senza senso, troppe domande lasciate senza una risposta, anzi se ne aggiungono sempre di più.
Salvo soltanto gli aiutanti di Sam: Poe, il corvo che è sempre al suo fianco; il nonno Gordon, un arzillo stregone che fa strage di cuori e Farissael, il demone minore che ha avuto una bellissima evoluzione.
Chissà che non migliori nel terzo libro.

Sam is a punching bag with a big mouth
Sam has a new case and a new enemy. The wife of the demon she killed in the last book is out to get her!
Things happen and she gets kidnapped, and that's when this book turns strange..
I don't like Logan. I know he's supposed to be the love interest here, but he proves himself unworthy of Sam's trust and loyalty, and then almost immediately after that, she blabs her big secret to him. 🙊🙉🙈 it just doesn't make sense.
Also, Sam is not very impressive, but she keeps running her mouth, and then getting her butt kicked, tortured, and all around abused until some last minute miracle happens, and honestly, its annoying! That happened in the last book too, but I thought there would be growth in this book. Apparently not!
Interesting things happen at the end if this book, but honestly, Sam keeps running into danger and rushing to solve crimes, with her mediocre skills, as if she's the only one who can do it🙄
She survives, (barely) and then jumps to the next thing that she survives just barely again.
The most interesting character is Faris. He really stepped up in this book, and I don't think Sam gave him enough credit for that.

Wow, what a fast-paced, thrilling & entertaining read this 2nd book in Kim's new series turned out to be! With witches, vampires, demons galore, a snarky raven familiar & an angelic side-kick - what's not to love! Witch with attitude, Sam, manages to get in even more bother this time as she's assigned to catch who/what is, literally, 'sucking the life' out of NYC's witches. She also manages to upset a humdinger of a higher demon in the Netherworld, & faces the very real prospect of not getting out of a very dangerous & sticky situation in one piece &/or still breathing! Loved finding out more about demon-with-a-brilliant-sense-of-humour, Faris, & how he becomes quite an important (& wonderful) character in this book! Another winner of a read & can't wait for the next book to see what happens to Sam, Logan, Faris & Poe! Highly recommended magical book!

Thrilling Every Step of the Way!
WOW - with so many twists and turns we never know what is going to happen to Sam next!
Once I started reading, there was no way I was putting the book down until I was finished. I love Sam and her kickass ways of doing things. She seems to get out of one bad situation only to be thrown into another even bigger badder situation. This girl needs a break!!
I love the way Kim Richardson weaves her stories. It's like I am right there fighting alongside Sam every step of the way. I am always highly entertained and utterly captivated by each character!
I can't wait to see what happens next with Sam!

[2.5] Faris se llevó toda mi atención. ❤️🩹
De pana me da mucha rabia porque la trama pintaba mejor que el primero pero no se que le pasó a la autora que se fue todo a la mierda y aparte ¿¿los últimos capítulos?? Tanto para que todo fuera tan precipitado.
Y lo que me molesta más es que Sam me encantaba pero aquí en este libro me cayo tan mal.
En esta vida hay protagonistas masculinos malos y después está logan, Dios que tipo tan insoportable.
¿Y la química de los protagonistas donde está? Ellos se gustan solo por el poder del guion, nada que ver entre ellos. Sam tiene mejor química con Faris que con logan.

When is the dark witch a good witch? Who says that demons aren't all bad? These are the questions I thought while reading The Dark Files books.
In book 1 Sam defeated a greater demon. She attempted an exorcist but it failed. She never failed. And the story tells us that it's because she was batting outside of her league. Book 2 brings said demon's widow into the game. She does not understand how this happened, and she wants some answers!
Along the way Sam deepens her relationship with Logan and Feris. Poe is his slightly witty self. And grandpa is off his rocker.

I have really loved the second book in The Dark files series by Kim Richardson. I have a hard time put it down.
Sam as survived a incident with a Greater Demon but her problems are far from being over. There's a series of unexplained witch murders that is going own in NYC and its gonna be her job to discover who's doing it.
But whats hidding in the shadows of New York will soon come after her and she gonna be in serious trouble...

Witches, Vampires, Demons & Sexy Angels 👼
Charms & Demons is the second book in the dark files series. A very enjoyable book set in the same paranormal world as Shadow & Light.
I loved this book.
It was very easy to read & well written. Sam, a kick ass dark witch & her disobedient familiar Poe have to stop the evil who is murdering young witches.

I love paranormal series. This is the second book in Kim Richardson's Dark Files series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but does have references to things that happened in the first book, so it is THAT much better when the books are read in order. Book 1 is Spells & Ashes. Book 2 is Charms & Demons, this one. The characters are unique to this series and so wonderful I can't wait for more!

Contente de retrouvé Sam dans ce deuxième tome. Cependant, je rejoints mon avis du premier tome, l'histoire et les personnages manquent de profondeurs et de développement. Il y a eu quand même quelques rebondissements, qui m'ont donné envie de continuer ma lecture. J'ai aimé la petite fin innatendue, mais j'ai trouvé celle-ci un peu bâclée.

Loved this! As always I had trouble putting it down.
I have to say I think Faris is the absolute best. I don’t know what it is about him! I am curious to know about this development with him. Also that ending! I wasn’t expecting that twist as all. Though I suppose I probably should have.

Encantada... o era embrujada?
Qué puedo decir? Me ha fascinado esta continuación. Sí, la realidad es que no es una novela de 5 estrellas, tiene muchas cosas a conveniencia y algún Deus Ex Machine, pero, también tiene otras tantas cosa buenas en el aspecto subjetivo que me ha sido difícil no darle todas las estrellas posible. Soy débil con las novelas de fantasía que me hacen reír, lo admito.
Lo único que puedo agregar es que tiene que leer esta serie.
