I would rate this a strong 4.5. I really enjoyed it and read it in one sitting, didn't want to put it down. The depiction of the realities of domestic abuse was well done and I liked that he used an 'unlikely' victim. It helps to show that any woman can be a victim of domestic abuse.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was well-written and a real page-turner. Exciting and entertaining, I experienced a range of emotions while reading it: excitement, frustration, anger, anxiety. I couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting, well into the night!
I can't wait for the next book to learn what happens to Lucy.
I found it hard reading this book as Lucy’s story is written so well. Honestly one star less as I didn’t care about the other crime element- I just wanted Lucy to get her justice.
