I worked as an editor on Extinction and found myself fascinated by the spiritual journey of the protagonist, Dr. Kira Taylor. By the time the book was finished, I knew this was a book I would recommend to my friends and fellow authors. A mix of bio-tech, thriller and spirituality, the book reads like Jurassic Park meets the Celestine Prophecy. Extinction's roots are found in the new Integral Consciousness Movement. In fact, first reader Steve McIntosh, author of Evolution's Purpose and Integral Consciousness, wrote this about Extinction, "Ronald Meyer's novel, Extinction, brings together the leading edges of both science and spirituality in an engaging thriller. He skillfully weaves the themes of the emerging "evolutionary perspective" into an exciting tale that is bound to entertain and enlighten readers. It is good to see the "evolutionary pulse" arising within popular literature."

I liked the story well enough. It was fairly interesting. However, I had a hard time staying engaged as numerous grammatical errors kept pulling me out of the book. Such errors drive me nuts and decrease my enjoyment of a book.
