Belle is trying to start her life when she gets a call that her father has died. She hurries home to deal with his estate but finds more than what she bargained for in his home. Now she's trapped with three monsters who hate her for her father's sins and the only way out is to work together. What her father kept captive might have just captured Belle's heart. This is a why choose romance, meaning our girl Belle won’t have to choose who she’s with. These are also NOT shifters or men they are monsters. They stay in their ‘monster’ form at ALL times. Trapped is also heavy on the spice light on the plot…in our opinion how a monster romance should be
AWWW i loved this book 😭😭 the ending has me smiling so hard.
Belle was a fantastic character. I feel like she stayed true to herself. Even when her life could have been in danger or even when they were being a holes to her she did the best that she could to help them out. I admire that bc she never treated them any differently and showed them kindness.
I absolutely love all her monsters. They had their "Monstrous " moments but when they were being sweet to her it was adorable. They had really good chemistry and the tension was 🤌🤌. There was enough smut, some plot and good writing and its a quick read so it was hard to look away from the book. I was hooked from the beginning.
If ur a fan of fairytale and love monster romance THIS BOOK IS IT.!!!
I'll be honest, Monster Romance usually isn't usually a genre that I actively seek out, however I got a copy of Trapped by Beauty and just had to check it out.
Overall it was a good story, I absolutely adored Gage, Tauren was fine but I found he lacked the most character, and for a good while I kept rolling my eyes at Koa, knowing he'd eventually get himself figured out.
Lots of smut, a bit of plot, exactly what was promised.
I really enjoyed this Beauty and the Beaust retelling. The characters were interesting.. the story line was captivating and had me wanting to continue to read.
Wow I really enjoyed this little book. I haven’t read many monster romance novels but this one was really good! And definitely interesting because they stayed in their monster form. My favorite princess growing up was Belle so I was really excited to sign up to read this. The whole story was really good and i can see the resemblance to the movie. I loved this retelling and the ending really gave me goosebumps how it all came together. Yup I need 3 monsters in my life now 🥵😈
A beautiful retelling that had me hooked from the very beginning. This book has everything you could want. Three beastly men, literally, and a somewhat broken yet extremely strong MFC.
Belle was raised by nannies while her father, being the crooked, self absorbed man he was, focused on taking things that didn't belong to him. Right after she graduates from college, with a bleak unknown future before her, she's notified of her father's passing. For a man that never showed any interest in her, he ended up leaving her everything, including three very angry beastly prisoners.
This story is steamy, takes a new twist on Beauty and the Beast and had me in my feels the whole time. Belle is strong and snarky, Koa is a grumpy bear who despite his need for revenge, finds more than he expected. Gage, the lion, is every bit the beast but also has an underlying "kitten" I couldn't help but find endearing, and Tauren, the bull. He's very much apart of the story but for me not quite a strong character role. Reminds me a bit of middle child syndrome, but still adds to the story. I just felt more with Gage and Koa.
Definitely read the trigger and content warnings. But overall for a retelling I was pleasantly surprised and definitely recommend this book!
A tale of beauty and her beasts with a hot explosive twist. Belle did it, she graduated from college and ready to make a new life by herself. Her father abandon her to go on trips when she was old enough, so she was used to being alone. Belle receives a phone call that her father died and he left her everything. She finds out it included three imprisoned monsters - Koa, Gage, and Tauren. Belle is appalled what her father had done. Koa, Gage and Tauren are outraged on being imprisoned but there is attraction between the four. Boy things got crazy and super hot between the four of them. As the guys worked to figure out how to get their life back, Belle is worried once they do they’ll leave her behind and alone. It was a very touching story about a young woman that was always abandoned and only wanted to be needed and loved by someone. Loved the bonus scene.
I absolutely loved this beauty and the beast retelling with a why choose twist! Not only is there a beast.....there are 3! A bear, a bull, and a lion are the beasts that keep Belle captured. I did struggle a bit with how the monsters were portrayed, paws for the lion but hands for the bull kind of struggle. It was definitely a different portrayal and I think that just took a moment to get my brain around. Lots of spice but a plot and a twist that I haven't seen before!
Belle was my favorite, despite being alone she didn’t let things get to her. I loved how she tried to help them out and didn’t treat them differently she was always really kind to them. She just wanted to be loved and needed🥺🥺
The boys… well “monsters” wow.. the smut was smutting🥵 & when they started being kind to her, they were thee sweetest😩🤍
I absolutely loved the ending it had me smiling hard and big😭😭😆🥹🥹🤍
Belle has never been particularly close to her only remaining parent. She’s about to finish up college but doesn’t have a job or any accommodation to move to. Concerned about her financial future, she receives a call to advise her that her father has passed away and she’s inherited everything❣️Suffice to say she moves back to her old home town, only to discover things have changed in ways she didn’t expect and then discovers monsters in the basement that include a lion, a bull and a bear😳
This was my first book by Cassie and Alisha and I really enjoyed the different dynamics of these fairy tales that included wicked naughty monsters😉 I look forward to the other stories in this series. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily leave my honest opinion🤩
So this was my first book by either author. Belle is my FAVORITE princess, so my standards were set high. I loved Belle and her monsters. I loved the smut for sure. The only thing I don’t like was the fact that I wanted more!! Maybe it was just because I liked the characters so much. It was a quick read that I can confidently recommend to other readers. If you like monster/human mix books, or you want to get into the genre, Trapped By Beauty is a great place to start!!
The authors say that this book was light on the plot and heavy on the smut, but I didn’t think the plot was lacking. Sure, there were times when things happened crazy fast, but I didn’t mind it! What I did mind was the grammar! Maybe this book would be better as an audiobook, so I’m not able to see the grammatical errors, but they totally killed me! I don’t know who the editor was, but they should really consider how much attention to detail matters, especially for those of us who appreciate good grammar! If all else fails, choose a font where you can’t tell when you use the quotation marks meant to go at the end of a quote at the beginning…
This was a short and (somewhat) sweet retelling of Beauty and the Beast, or in this case, Beasts. What happens when a bull, a Kodiak bear, and lion walk into a crooked man’s home and drink a beer? Unfortunately, they end up imprisoned and drugged for three years. Fortunately for them, said crooked man dies and all his belongings are left to his sweet daughter Belle including the house with the three captives. Despite wanting to hurt her as a revenge when they meet her, they all quickly realize that although her last name may be the same as her father, that seems to be their only similarity. This was minimal plot, maximum spice, so basically a perfect monster reverse harem. The writing could have been a little more developed, but other than I enjoyed this book!!!

I love the whole retelling aspect. Beauty and the beast is one of my favorite fairy tells and seeing with monsters is amazing. The monsters bring so much more appeal to the storyline and the authors did such an amazing job! You guys won’t be disappointed!
This is definitely a different take on Beauty and the Beast. Belle Beastly was heading back to her hometown of Rockwell after not succeeding in securing a teaching job after graduation. She really did not know what to do. She was estranged from her father and was forced to fend for herself. Before heading to her hometown, Belle found out her father had passed away leaving her everything. Unbeknownst to Belle, her father had moved to a huge house. Everything was now Belle's. Imagine her surprise when she hears cries for help. She goes down to the basement and finds Koa, a bear shifter; Tauren, a bull shifter; and Gage, a lion shifter. I know, I know. A recipe for disaster. The guys had been held captive by Belle's father for three years. Belle is the only one they can take their anger out on.
This book was fast-paced and so good. So unpredictable from the very beginning until the very end. I am so happy I was introduced to this author. This is definitely my kind of book. This book is part of a series that rewrites the fairytales with a monster twist. Several authors have come together to create this series. I might have to read the other books in this series because this one is pretty good. I hope it sets the tone.
Belle has always been abandoned by her father so when he dies, she's just happy to have a place to go. Until she finds out what he's kept captive in the basement. Is she gonna fix her father's mistakes or will she pay for them? This fairytale retelling is a bit backwards but such a great rendition.
A retelling of Beauty and the Beast mixed with a monster why choose romance ??? Sign me up !!!
I enjoyed the unique take on my favorite Disney princesses. What made me love Belle is the fact that her kindness wasn't seen as weakness but as a strength I enjoyed that both authors switched it up and made Belle have abandonment issues worried about her future and someone who was stressing on what to do with the choice of her career it made her very relatable as well as enjoyable to read.
I wish I can say the same about the monsters and while they were interesting as well as a fun read they could use a little more fleshed out I know they're monsters but I wish we got more development from them.
Over all I enjoyed this book and I'm excited to read more from these authors
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ This book was absolutely fantastic. * Hate to Want * Duh-Con * Close proximity * Why Choose with 3 beast And a HEA Retelling with a twist 😆
Okay Beauty and the Beast retelling with one massive twist- I am here for you!
Belle, having been essentially abandoned by her father her entire life, has found out that he has passed and has suddenly come into an enormous amount of wealth- something she knew nothing about. With that wealth came the castle her and her friends would attempt to explore as children, a castle she had no idea her father had purchased during her time in college. Newly graduated from college with no job or place to stay lined up, this news couldn't have come at a better time. The only problem is, the castle comes with three prisoners', monsters who want nothing more than to destroy her father and by association, her.
Koa, Gage and Taurine have been trapped by Mr. Beastly for years. Threats to his empire and the wealth he has stolen from them, he keeps them locked in his basement with only the bare minimum to survive. When the lure Belle into the basement to free themselves, they are expecting to find a monster in her just like they did in her father. As time goes on however, those thoughts couldn't be the furthest thing from the truth and each of them find themselves beginning to fall for Belle, who sees them for who they truly are. Can they forgo their need for revenge and accept the love that Belle has given them right from the start?
I really enjoyed this story. I thought the way that each of the brother's fell for Belle was extremely well done and unique to each of them as individuals. I think the best love story out of the three was Gage and Belle- I loved how he knew right from the beginning that she was his and meant to be his and he didn't let up on that feeling- he was persistent and took what he wanted. I also think that Koa's path towards love for Belle was well done and thought out, especially after the way he treated her when she released them from their cages. He seemed to have been the most damaged out of the 3 monsters so it was a natural progression to see that he was wholly untrusting of Belle and it took him quite a bit of time (basically the entire story) to really warm up to her and realize that maybe he had feelings for her all along. I feel like Taurine's story and path to love for Belle was slightly lacking and may have been a bit rushed in some spots, but nonetheless, when all three of these men realize their feelings, the chemistry between them is off the charts- especially at the end.
I also really enjoyed that Belle really suffered from feelings of abandonment and the lack of love that she was shown in her life. I think in the original telling of Beauty and the Beast you really don't see anything like that because she is so close with her father. It was really nice to see a different side to that tale in the sense that her father really wanted nothing to do with her- always pushing her off on nannies and being away from the house as much as possible. It was nice to see no only the monsters discover their path to love but Belle discover it too, especially in the end when some of the mystery is revealed.
Certainly pick this up if you have a love for Beauty and the Beast, why choose and monster romances. It is a quick and easy read that won't disappoint!
I’ll be honest, at first I was side-eyeing a few things and my suspicion levels were on high alert trying to decipher which direction this was heading in; but I gotta say I’m glad I just went with it because even though I was forewarned of the minor plot, major smut situation, it STILL SHOOK ME 🔥🤭🥵
The whole hostile takeover with revenge in mind, but add in repressed primal instincts with alpha dominance and poor Belle has got herself into the best of a worse situation.
Now, I will say when it mentions ‘non-shifting’ these guys are literal monsters, no human forms (although they are human like, and you can imagine them however you wish) there’s Koa the Kodiak Bear, Gage the Lion, and Tauren the Bull. So if that could potentially be an ick, then this book isn’t for you.
BUT if you don’t mind a little monster fun, with full kit 🐻 and tools 🍆 to match included then I’d definitely recommend checking this one out!

This may have been a fairytale retelling, but it never felt like a copy, especially since this had a contemporary backdrop & even better, multiple monsters were added 😈 It was most definitely an updated version with ALL the good stuff included lol. When they say this is more spice & less plot, they mean it, but don’t worry, there’s definitely plenty of plot so that you feel like there’s a reason for what’s happening. Thankfully that plot is nothing like the original, so believe me, you will not feel like you’re stuck in the original storyline, yet you will see things along the way that remind you of the story. One big thing is the beast of our story. I love that it kind of feels like they took his character & split his personality up into 3 different characters. Each one, Gage, Tauren & Koa, all gave me major beast vibes, but I gotta admit, Koa was the one who truly gave off MAJOR BBE…big beast energy 😉😈😂 Not that they didn’t give off any warm & fuzzy feelings (I’m looking at you Gage 👀😍), yet this story definitely had mainly darker vibes from the guys, but that just made it so much more obvious once their feelings started changing towards Belle. Belle is the biggest part of the story that resembled the character we all know & love. She was sweet & kind, but was also full of an inner strength, as well as a fiery spirit & a backbone of steel. The guys didn’t stand a chance when faced with her constant flow of goodness, as well as other things that they may have gotten addicted to 😝🔥🫣 This story was perfectly dark & enchantingly disturbed. If the rest of the stories in this series are even close to being this good, then we’re all in for a treat! If you love whychoose, monster romance with real world contemporary vibes, enemies to lovers, morally grey MMCs, & forced proximity, then you’ll definitely enjoy this story, but be sure to check the TWs first since this is definitely on the darker side of your momma’s fairytale 😝 Can’t wait to dive into the dark waters of the other books in this series 🖤
Trapped By Beauty is a monster romance retelling of Beauty And The Beast by Alisha Williams and Cassie Lein. Despite a few dark spots overall, this is a sweet story. Belle is unsure where she will go as she graduates college. However, with the death of her estranged father, she returns to her hometown. What she doesn't expect is to find 3 Monsters locked in her father's basement. Once released, they discover a curse confining them to the city limits. Can they find a way to break the curse, and do they really want to in the end? I absolutely loved this retelling of Beauty And The Beast(s). The characters were well written and perfect. Belle is kind and sweet, everything her father was not. The men all have different personalities. Koa, the bear,is the alphahole that doesn't trust and is a complete jerk. However, Gage, the lion, is supersweet right from the start knowing that Belle is his. Tauren, the bull, falls in the middle, desiring Belle but is cautious. I loved seeing them break down and begin to realize Belle really isn't her father, and her kindness isn't an act. I really feel for Belle, who is lonely, and gives them men her heart despite knowing they will leave. I rated Trapped By Beauty 5 out of 5 stars. The story was fairly short and made a great binge read over a few days. The story has a few mysteries, a little violence, action, and plenty of spice. Quick warning there is a scene that is dubious consent. Belle says no, but the men can smell she means something else. I believe Belle's no is more what she thinks she should say and how she should react to monsters, not her personal desires. I mentioned this as I know that this is something that could deeply impact them in a negative manner. If you enjoy retellings with themes of monsters, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, and why choose, then Trapped By Beauty is perfect for you!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 Trapped by Beauty was exactly what I wanted—a dark, steamy Beauty and the Beast retelling where the "beasts" stay monstrous at all times. This book fully embraced the monster romance genre, delivering a delicious blend of spice, tension, and unexpected tenderness that had me hooked from the very first page. Belle was such a great heroine. Even when she found herself trapped in a house with three furious, vengeful monsters who blamed her for her father’s crimes, she refused to cower. Instead, she stood her ground, met their rage with kindness, and held onto her inner strength. I loved that she didn’t break or become submissive—she was compassionate and resilient, which made her all the more lovable. And let’s talk about these monsters! Koa, the grumpy, brooding bear. Gage, the fierce yet oddly endearing lion. Tauren, the bull who added to the dynamic even if he wasn’t as prominent. Their chemistry with Belle was off the charts. The tension, the slow unraveling of emotions, and the way they softened for her despite their monstrous nature? Chef’s kiss. I was obsessed. They had their brutal, possessive moments, but when they were sweet? My heart melted. This book is exactly what it promises—heavy on the spice, light on the plot, and full of that addicting monster romance charm. The writing was engaging, and even though it’s a quicker read, it packed in so much emotion, steam, and a fresh twist on a beloved fairytale. If you love your monsters actually monstrous, your romance sizzling, and your heroines with a backbone, Trapped by Beauty is a must-read!
Trapped by Beauty by Alisha Williams & Cassie Lein
Such a fun read 😀 I have always been a Beauty and the Beast stan! She happens to be my favorite Disney princess and I am also a why choose girly so naturally I of course had to read this book! I am in love and can't wait to find other gems by these 2 ladies! For such a short read it had enough plot to keep me happy and the spice was on point as well... now I would be remissed if I didn't mention that these boys are NOT shifters. They in fact stay in their monster form. I was a bit worried going in that since they are a lion, a bear and a bull I wouldn't be able to get in to this book but I was wrong. It didn't bother me at all.. I really enjoyed the personalities of all the characters, even our angry bear Koa 😏 but I always seem to love the broody ones. Gage was the sweetheart that honestly stole my heart from the start. Tauren was a nice in the middle not to sweet but also not an ass like Koa. Belle was the perfect MFC, she has Beauty, grace and brains. Of course seeing as this is a novella it does seem she falls fast but I like those kind of books. I love a good fated mate story so that's all good by me. I despise slow burns soo that plays a role in my opinion as well...so when its all said I really liked this story and the ending wasn't bad.. all tied up in a neat little bow. ❤️
This book, I am not going to lie. I was kinda scared to read this book cause of the spicy level along with it saying not much plot. From Amazon itself "Trapped is also heavy on the spice light on the plot" but I say... Ummm nope!!! I think this Book is perfect.... Enough spice 🥵 but also a romance monster story that makes you want to go and read the whole 7 books that are out. This is starting with book one. Which beauty and the beast is my favorite.
You have bell that has been going to college and finally coming home with no job but a teacher degree, her father has been a strain from her for years after her mother passed. She comes to find out that he is now passed away and she's alone in this world. Getting his house in his riches she comes to find something in the basement.... 3 sexy monster. What is a girl to do now 🫶🏼
As I said...my favorite Disney movie is beauty and the beast, so when I saw this book I knew I had to have it and read it. Which I will be going and getting all of them and reading all of them as well. If any of the other books are just as good as this one. Five stars, first read of the month, great way to start off October.
There is a lot more that happens in this story but you are going to have to read it to find out. I just love happy ending too.
This book is a fun one for sure. And I just love the beauty & the beast retail. On KU too!!!
When Belle inherits her late and estranged father's house and belongings, she does expect to find three monsters in her new basement. Koa, Tauren, and Gage were adultnapped by her father and held for years when they revealed his dirty business practices. Belle sets them free, and they set about to take back their empire, but find they are cursed to remain within the town limits. As the days pass with no resolutions to their problem, Belle finds herself drawn to the three monsterous men and them to her. Finding a way to break the curse and set them free leaves Belle alone, but she's willing to risk it. Will their newfound love be strong enough?
Why choose monster twist to the OG monster romance? Sign me up! Belle is our classic orphan, with a bleeding heart and the spitfire attitude to back up her sass. The guys are hellbent on revenge until they find themselves at Belle's mercy. She's nothing like her father, and the guys find themselves thinking less and less about vengeance and more on romance. I loved how Gage was the first to fall, but kitty's got claws. Tauren was slower but definitely jumped on the bandwagon headfirst. Koa was a slow burn, but that primal chase in the maze was A+. The twist I didn't know I needed for this BatB retelling was the only way I'll accept this fairytale moving forward.
